 + -1 moreWe had never had the prior unit serviced before. We plan to have Expert Garage Doors out for a yearly inspection and tun-up. Working with Russ was a pleasure and I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: The day after Christmas our garage door opener stopped working. We called Russ to come out and take a look to see if it was serviceable or needed replaced. Russ is able to come out within the week despite the holidays. Prior to our appointment we discovered our opener was 17 years old. We called Russ back To discuss new garage opener options and selected the right one for us. Russ was prompt and installed the unit within two hours. He included a tuneup of the new unit and Russ spent his time talking us through the new, complicated system. He took his time demonstrating the functions and answered my questions thoroughly.

 + -1 moreI had Russ come to the house for preventive maintenance. He was timely as always, called ahead of time to advise of his arrival time and was able to perform the maintenance work within 30 minutes. This is the third or fourth time I have used this company and am very impressed.
Description of Work: I had Russ come out to "winterize" my garage door since it is one that has caused problems in the past when the weather gets cold. Russ is a pleasure to work with and does a stellar job with the garage door and its components. I had used him for similar services before and it represented one of the only winters where I did not have trouble with the garage door. As a result, this preventive maintenance is money well spent in my mind and now I can feel confident that I will not have any problems with the door regardless of how cold it gets this winter. I am strongly inclined to use Expert Garage Door for all of my garage door needs in the future.

 + -1 moreWe purchased the $99 tune up package from Angie's List. When we called to schedule the appointment they were able to come out two days later. They were punctual. They performed the service detailed in the coupon. The work was done professionally. They did find a couple of other "things to consider fixing" but did not try to pressure us to do them at that time. The door works perfectly now. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Company did a cleaning, alignment and replacement of our garage door rollers. They also adjusted the chain drive.

 + -1 moreThey were prompt in responding to our call and were out to the home within 24 hours. The repairman was very nice and courteous. The door jerks a bit more and is slightly more noisy upon closing, but the spring and the door has been operating well for the past 2 years. We didn't like that they stuck their business stickers on at least 3 places in our garage without permission. We have been unable to remove the stickers without peeling off drywall or tearing the sticker piece by piece from the garage doors.
Description of Work: We had them repair a broken garage door spring and give the garage doors a tune up.

They were very responsive, friendly, and went the extra mile to help me out around the holidays to fix my garage door with a short turnaround time! Thanks again Expert Garage Doors!
Description of Work: My garage door stopped opening two days before Thanksgiving and it looked like I was not going to be able to fix it before going out of town for Thanksgiving break. I contacted Expert Garage Doors based on their high rating and positive reviews on Angie's list and I was not disappointed! I originally spoke with Angela and she was able to fit me in the next day. I was very impressed with her responsiveness and supportive approach to my timing/situation. Russ came the next day to perform a general tune-up and determined that my springs needed to be replaced. He was able to quickly replace the springs and get the garage door operating again within an hour or so! During the inspection, Russ determined that the rollers needed replaced and he was able to perform the roller replacement the following week once I returned from my trip. I also had him reattach and strengthen the exterior wood panels as these needed maintenance.

He not only fixed that but he replaced two light bulbs that were out and installed a garage door handle at no charge. I was really impressed! I will definitely be calling Expert Garage Doors back in the future!

 + -1 moreThe company was prompt. The technician was courteous and friendly. However, the real reason I opted for the service was not corrected. For some reason when operating the remote from the street, my garage door will stop opening about six to eight inches from the ground. I then have to hit the button to get it to continue up. I asked the technician to correct this problem. It worked satisfactorily for a short time period, but then went back to its old way of operating. If not for this issue, the company would have received an "A" overall. This service was an Angie's special. I have hesitated reporting this issue for the owner seemed pleasant enough and willing to please.

 + -1 moreFound them on Angie's list. I called a couple of service providers and I found Angela Corey to be most responsive. She made an effort to understand some of the issues before scheduling the appointment. I called on a Thursday and they were able to come over on the following Monday. They were on time. The person who came over took his time to complete the work, and also was proactive in doing some preventive maintenance. Overall very happy with the service.
Description of Work: Fixed the cables and replaced the spring on the garage doors. Also performed maintenance and fixed a beam on the garage to prevent it from developing cracks.
