Expert Garage Doors

This is the second time I've contacted Expert Garage Doors. In early February 2013, my garage door opener stopped lifting the door. I assumed it was a broken spring or something major like that. I was able to schedule service very quickly. Upon closer inspection, Russ determined that the garage door opener simply needed adjusting. In addition, he recommended installing a reinforcement bar on the garage door to limit the amount of wear and tear on the door as it is lifted and closed on a daily basis. He performed a full service on the garage door opener and door including greasing all the joints to enhance overall performance. In late April, the garage door opener stopped moving the chain. I immediately contacted Expert Garage Doors and was able to schedule service on the next business day. Again, Russ investigated the issue and determined that the gear assembly was worn out and could no longer engage the chain. I had the option to install a new garage door opener or replace the gear assembly; I opted for the latter. While working to replace the gear assembly, Russ determined that the mounting brackets that were used when the opener was installed were not up to his standards and he elected to reinforce the mounting brackets to improve the efficiency of the system. All told, the service call only took about an hour and now my garage door is opening smoothly. If/when it comes time to replace my garage door opener, I will be calling Expert Garage Doors.

This is the sort of provider that I subscribed to Angie's List to find. Excellent front-end communication with costs clearly explained. Prompt service, curteous and knowledeable technician, no surprises, no over-selling, everything taken care of right down to the last detail. Expert Garage Doors is in my file for trusted serice!

He arrived on time, did I complete check of the unit, replaced the bad board, and reprogrammed our openers and keypad.

I'm writing this review very late. I was very pleased with the punctuality, quality and professionalism of this company. They even provided a sticker for my garage wall in the event I need their services again. (at least I can't forget their name!!) Thanks guys!

Love the new opener!! Never have to remember to close the garage door again. And it is so smooth & quiet. Very fair price.

We were not able to open our garage door without car remotes. A+ wood garage would not make a service call. We called Expert Garage and from the first call to technicians visit, it was totally professional.

Garage door springs broke early in the morning.Called Expert Garage Doors after checking Angies list to see who does this work in our area and how their rated. Left a message and they called back and could fit me in that afternoon.Russ showed up on time with the right parts and not only installed better springs,but went over everything he was doing and explained how to maintain our garage door unit.

We've used them a couple of times. It was easy to make appointments with them. They showed up on time. They were very knowledgeable. They didn't try to oversell us. The quality of the work has been good. I haven't had any problems.

They arrived on time and completed work in a timely manner. Because our openers are older, we were given several suggestions for future work that should be done.

Russ installed a professional garage door opener. He was right on time an finished the work promptly. We really liked when he sent someone to fix a small issue even while he was on vacation. It was nice of him.

The woman who scheduled the appointment and the man who installed the opener were very polite and professional. I gave a B for punctuality because I received a call at the very end of the time range given that they were going to be late, and I think notice could have been given sooner. But the woman was very apologetic and nice about it, and informed me when I should be expecting the installer, which was just slightly beyond the original time frame given. It was nice that the installer did a free tune up on our existing garage door, and he tightened a spring that was causing the door to not open fully. Overall things went very well and I would definitely use this company again. Their customer service was great and I really felt like we were an important client, not just another job.

I was pleased that my garage door opener could be fixed rather than replaced. There was no pressure to buy a new one. I have used this company several times, for my rental properties, and have always found it very professional. I feel that I can trust their judgement.

Russ was very professional and I felt he was very honest with me about the condition of my garage door. He was very thorough and explained all of my options and the pros and cons of repair vs replacement. We decided to repair our garage door and are very happy with the results.

Came out to review options with us. We were able to schedule for next day service. Excellent work, they went above and beyond. Our next door neighbors garage door opener went the next week and they were equally as impressed with this company's service.

It went well. Having just moved into this house, I realized the garage door sounded a little scary when opening and closing. Upon inspection, we realized I needed to replace the current garage door opener to add the electronic eye door stops, so I was credited the amount of the big deal towards a new garage door purchase and install. The company was very professional and did a great job removing my very old garage door opener and installing a new one that included the keypad and the door sensors to keep the door from closing on my kids. The old system didn't have any of that installed. They installed new brackets to mount the opener instead of using the old ones that were there. I thought that was a nice touch. I was informed that my springs were 11 years old, and the average life was 10 years, so that they could break at any time. They were upfront in saying that they didn't need to be replaced today, just wait until they do and then call them. They could break tomorrow or 3 years from now. Overall I'm very pleased and would use this company again. Actually, I will use them when my springs finally do break!

Very smooth and businesslike transaction. All work was completed in a workmanlike fashion.

I was able to call around noon and have a repair technician out to my house that day. Replaced both springs in about an hour. Service was prompt and professional. I was very pleased with my experience.

Expert Garage Doors LLC was great to work with! Russ arrived in the morning at the scheduled time and explained what was going on with our garage door. There were a few options for us to choose from. He was able to complete one of the options with parts that he stocked on the truck, however the other option would require him to order parts and return in a few days to complete the work. I needed to consult with my husband on which option we wanted, and unfortunately, he wasn't available at the time. I felt terrible for wasting his time, however Russ was very understanding. He explained that I could call the office and let them know if we wanted to go ahead and order the parts. After talking to my husband, we decided that we didn't need to order parts and that the work could be completed with the parts that were stocked on the truck. I called Expert Garage Doors LLC a few hours later and they were still able to get someone out to complete the work the same day. When everything was complete, our garage door was working like new and it was so quiet. Angela called a few days later to make sure everything was still working and that we weren't having any problems. Overall, they were great to work with. We will definitely go back to them and would highly recommend them to others.

Garage door opener was not working, called in to have garage door opener and springs replaced. Service person was punctual and friendly. He showed me what the actual problem was, uneven rails were creating more work for the opener, springs did not actually need to be replaced. Spent less money then quoted. Will definitely call back for future services.

They were very professional. Did excellent work. Did more work than was even necessary. Lots of extra work that made for a great experience.
