AmeriCoat Asphalt & Concrete

Do NOT use AmeriCoat for asphalt sealing! They did mine and every time it rains or gets wet the “sealer” softens and comes off and is tracked on shoes and car tires!! What a mess! You can even wipe it off with your hands!! The sealer applied to my drive was either a defective formula improperly applied timing wise or never cured properly! TERRIBLE!!!! And notice NO response from the Owner!!!

If I could given no stars I would. Like other post they can sell the driveway but when deposit is made is when the trouble starts. Started with base layer gravel not being done right but was assured it would be. Then told them I wanted driveway symmetrical and straight they said no problem it would be. It was from symmetrical straight or even. Has low spots and you can pour water on it and goes right through the blacktop. So now I know it’s going to freeze and bust up likely over winter. I have email, called several times. The one guy that sold the driveway just gives excuses why it could not be done the way he said it could when he was selling the job. Be warned don’t use them for your driveway you will have a lot of promises but crap delivered

Terrible experience. They replaced my original 25 year old driveway with defective asphalt and cracked my sidewalk while doing so. Took me about a year before they agreed to redo it. In the process of redoing it, they broke off big chunks of the sidewalk with their Bobcat. Also, places on the edges didn't get asphalt. I asked them to fix the sidewalk but they refused and said it was cracked...yes, by them. Find anyone else to do your driveway. They were good maybe 6 years ago but are going downhill fast. They can't even answer their phones or return calls.

Used AmeriCoat the last two years. Now, they appear to be struggling. Incredibly disappointing customer service and multiple cancelations. Appointment was scheduled in July (2023) for a two-coat sealing and premium crack service. Service date was scheduled for 8/17. Morning of 8/17, appointment was canceled and moved to 8/25 (Cancel #1). Late afternoon 8/24, appointment moved to 8/28 (Cancel #2). Do you sense a pattern here? Evening of 8/27, appointment was moved to 9/2 (Cancel #3). There will be no September appointment – we are done with this schedule and then cancel routine. As a side note, every scheduled day was perfect weather for this work, so that is certainly not a factor in the multiple cancelations.

I found everyone I dealt with in the organization to be professional, personable and responsive. Rain complicated the work but Americoat adjusted accordingly to assure a job well done

A "one man crew" came to my house to seal the driveway. I had to leave to run an errand. I came back home about an hour and a half later. The driveway was done, and the rope was across the end of it. Later in the afternoon, another crew came out to seal the driveway (!). I asked them why since the other man did it earlier. The second gentleman informed me that the first person only put down one layer, and they were coming to do the second layer. I would have not known that the job was incomplete! I truly appreciate the honesty and the good work. The driveway looks great!

Great experience from start to finish. Will definitely hire again.

Very smooth and problem free. We've been customers for nearly 20 years. Quality work and they stand behind their work. We had a gutter leaking over the newly sealed drive last year and areas had been worn out from the constant drip. We called to ask them if they could patch up the small spots of wear and they came by after we fixed the gutters and resealed the drive at no charge. Outstanding.

This company is a joke. Do not hire them! You will be frustrated, aggravated, overcharged, harassed, disappointed, angered, irritated, and then lied to. They are con-artists, not tradesman. My driveway was left incomplete yet they wanted to be paid for ALL the work. It was not a professional job. I was unsatisfied, yet no one from the company would return my call or come out to see what a sloppy *** job they did. Had I been here they day the work was done I would have fired them before they got started. Read the reviews on Facebook, Yelp, and the BBB. If I can find another site to tell this story I will. Please do not be their next victim. Hey 6 on your side, are you busy?

Americoat employee sealed the driveway without notifying us that he was here. When we confronted him he lied and said he knocked. My dog and two other adults were proof he did not. He told us to drive out cars out and he would reseal and clean up the asphalt tire marks on the concrete portion of the driveway. He made a pathetic attempt to scrub the marks with a liquid which sort of worked on half the apron then left without completing the cleanup. I called the company and three days later a manager called and said he'd be out the next day with a power washer. They didn't come then or the next day. I called today after almost a week and they told us that they were unable to remove the unsightly tire marks and they were done. We haven't received a bill yet but I'm sure they're going to want full payment and the ugly black tire marks are my problem. I will NEVER EVER use these clowns again.

Went very well. Was surprised got it done so soon considering all the rain we have been having. It did rain heavily within a few hours after completed. I contacted Americoat with concern that the rain might have messed up the driveway, but they said should be fine and if any concerns, they would certainly send someone out to evaluate the driveway. The driveway looks good.

Top quality. I've been working with them for years and have total confidence in them. They did a beautiful job. People don't realize that concrete work is an art as well as a science

They were outstanding, excellent service and they were very reliable, marvelous work, never had that kind of service for a long time. They did a fabulous job, and the supervisor called to check with me several times, to see that I get a fabulous service and that it will be done the way I wanted it to be. It is a very well runned company.

I called on 10/1 and was told that it could take 1-2 weeks for a quote. I called back on 10/10 since I hadn't heard back and was told that they have decided not to do any more sealing this season. No-one bothered to call and inform me of this decision.

rain delayed the job twice and they communicated part way through the day, which would have been nice to know earlier in the day via text instead of an email.

The gentleman that came to seal our driveway was very professional and courteous. He did a great job and was very neat-no splashes on the garage door and no excess on the grass. Thank you!

Severe cracking on the driveway. Managed to fill most of the cracks. Driveway looks 10 times better.

I have used them in the past, and their pricing and quality of work were competitive. I called them in the spring of 2018 and made an appointment to have our driveway sealed. They scheduled the work for June 13. They didn't show, and I never heard from them. I called them a few days later, and they told me they didn't make it out on the 13th due to the rain we had been having, and they were a few days behind. They said I must not have received their email to me notifying me of the schedule change. They told me over the phone they rescheduled for the week of July 6. As of July 15, the work is not complete, and I have not heard from them. I have not received a phone call. I checked all of my email accounts, including the spam filters. I have not received an email from them either. I certainly understand weather is unpredictable, and schedules have to be changed accordingly. However, the company should contact their customer and keep them informed. I have absolutely no evidence of them having made any attempt to contact me. No calls, no voice mail, no email messages. Its been 3 months since I first contacted them, and have no idea where this stands. I'm going to call them and cancel, and find someone else. A simple phone call would have prevented this outcome.

The asphalt sealing itself, when it was finally done, looks great. However, we were scheduled to have our driveway sealed on a Thursday. It didn't happen, and we got an email later that evening that a worker was sick so the work couldn't be completed, and we were rescheduled for Saturday. But that was when we were getting our mulch delivered, so I called and left a message and asked to reschedule for Tuesday. Never heard back, so called on Friday morning, and they said ohhh we can't do it Tuesday, we won't be in your neighborhood for another 3 weeks. I said sorry, that's ridiculous, you cancelled on us, and she said ok fine, we will come on Monday (even though it was Memorial Day). So of course no one shows up on the holiday, and when my husband called Tuesday, they said ohh sorry I guess we'll come Friday. He was persistent enough that they did reseal it on Tuesday, but the saga of dealing with this company means I would never hire them again or recommend them. Maybe they don't care about the easy residential resealing jobs and just provide good service to the big commercial guys.

I tried for over 6 weeks to get an estimate on a driveway repair job from these guys without any luck. I received a flyer in the mail about them being in my neighborhood on a specific date. I’d call every 10 days or so and I’d be told they would be at my home the next day or 2 but it never happened. Bad customer service and unfriendly on the phone as well, I would not trust them!!!!

The company showed up when they said they would.

i called twice to get a quote to compare to another quote I had on concrete sealing in order to get it done before winter. the first time they never called back. I called after 3 weeks. they said they will get a quote to me the next day. never heard back again and its been several days now and now its too late to do the sealing before the winter.

Great. We’re not home when they do the work, but they always show up in the day scheduled and the driveway looks great when they’re done. We’ve used this company for several years.

This is a great company with excellent customer service. They were very responsive and I was very pleased with the results.
