These men are craftsmen who take pride in their work. They are well experienced, courteous, and easy to work with. They cleaned up after themselves each day. They were prompt in their response to my calls, and took time to explain and answer my questions. They did an excellent job in every way!

Bill and his guys were great. Especially with dealing in our picking out of the carpet. We changed our minds a few times and we never felt like we were a bother. He just wanted to be sure we were happy with the decision. Install was quick and excellent.

They did a great job. This is a family business and by the time they are done with the job you feel like part of their family. We needed some special assistance with some things and they were great at accommodating our needs. Very professional and did great work.

Carpet companies should all be like this. This is a small, family owned business. The family sells the carpet, the family (father and sons) installs the carpet. And they do a terrific job and a very competitive price. This job required a great deal of craftsmanship, for example, each of 20 stairs requires the carpet to be sewn all the way around. It was all done perfectly. They gave us exactly what we ordered, they did it on time, they were careful with our furniture and they cleaned up completely before they left.

There was no response from this company to our request for service.

Solomon's Carpet Sales & Service (14 East Columbus Street, Pickerington, Oh) has been our family's flooring expert for decades. I find the Solomon's true to their word, careful, precise and very fair for labor and materials. I was very impressed because I called Solomon's to schedule an appointment to measure the room. Amazingly, Mr. Solomon still had his original drawing and measurements from the early 1990's. THAT saved us a lot of time in getting our project completed. Always, highly recommend Solomon's to our friends.

Bill Solomon and his sons Billy and Luke are trustworthy, efficient, neat, hard working and conscientious. This is the third time they have worked with us. We used Solomon's first when carpeting our basement. Fourteen years ago, they installed carpet in our house and added hardwood floors in the kitchen, dining area and downstairs bath. This time it was new carpet for the family room and the entire upstairs. We went to Levis 4 Floors and Rite Rug, but didn't receive the personal interaction that Bill Solomon gave us, plus Bill's prices are lower for the exact same carpet. In fact, neither of those stores seemed to care whether we used them or not. We always recommend Solomon's and will continue to do so.

They were very cordial and even trimmed some of the bushes around the steps. I'll be using them again to carpet the wooden floors and patches in the dining and living room to help our dog from not slipping.

The selection of the carpet was good. They came in lower than a couple of places we checked. The price was reasonable. They came in did the whole thing. They were trustworthy and when you said to him to do something, he does it. We were kind of under a time frame, a rush, because we're selling our house and he got it done really fast. He was a really nice older gentleman. They're very reliable.

Called Bill on Monday and explained what we were looking for and he invited us to stop by his storefront anytime that week (he gave me the hours) and look at and take some samples and he would stop by the next day or so and measure and pick up the samples. We went Tuesday night and found something we liked, confirmed the color at home we wanted and he came by the next day to measure and pick up samples. Was able to give me a 20 minute heads up so I could leave work then and not have to sit at home waiting. He measured quickly, gave me the estimate and I told him we would be in touch on Saturday after the other company we had made an appointment with gave us their estimate. We did end up going with the other company as they had more selection in the higher quality carpets and that is what we wanted and the prices were nearly the same for the installation side. I called Bill on Saturday and let him know and he thanked me for calling. I would definitely consider using them again if they had a flooring type I wanted to use in the future.

We can't say enough about Bill Solomon and Solomon's carpet! We found them by searching here on Angie's List and the ratings were great. We contacted Bill and he was very helpful in assisting us in selecting our flooring choices, but he was not overbearing in any way. His office in Pickerington is very functional, and his hours are great for working folks. Bill allowed us to take several samples home in fact he said "take every sample in the store, if you need to!" We scheduled an appointment for measurements, Bill and his son were on time and very prompt. Once measurements were over, we still were not sure on some of the flooring choices, so we went back to the shop and grabbed even more samples. Once we ironed out our choices, Bill ordered up all of the materials and gave us an estimate of two weeks to get them in. They arrived earlier than promised and we scheduled the installation. Bill and crew did a great job onsite, and I think they were her about 4 days total, working 10 hour days. We had an idea about a custom transition pattern (a curve) between our breakfast bar area and great room. Bill listened to what we wanted and went to work on the transition. Everyone who has seen this curve of carpet transitioning to the laminate hardwood comments on how great it looks. Everything they did was meticulous, they took off the baseboard, removed doors, cut the doors down, replaced the baseboard, and it looks like they never touched them. Solomon's crew were extremely pleasant and 100% professional. The installation went without a hitch and the floors look phenomenal.

We heard good things about Solomon's carpet, so received a bid from them, in addition to two other bids from other carpet companies. Solomon's estimate came in almost $2000 less than the other two for identical carpet and pad, so we went with him. He was very careful to estimate and plan the layout of the carpet so there was minimal waste, reducing the amount of carpet we had to buy. To save money, we moved our own furniture, and he agreed to do the job over two days so we had time to move the furniture around. (Solomon, like the other two carpet companies, would move the furniture for us for a fee, but we declined.) He and his two sons came to do the work and they were very polite, efficient, and thorough. They did a great job - the carpet looks and feels great! They were very neat, not leaving any mess or marks on the walls, and stacked the old carpet and pad neatly next to our outbuilding at our request. We again wanted to save money by disposing of the old carpet and pad ourselves, which was a big job because there was a lot of it. Solomon would have probably taken it away for a fee, but we didn't ask for that service. (For the record the other two carpet companies charged high fees to haul the old carpet and pad away.) We were very pleased with Solomon's Carpet and wouldn't hesitate to use them again when we are ready to redo the downstairs carpet.

They suggested some ideas to help us save some money, which worked out well. They did the job pretty well. I had a little issue that they came out to fix. I would give them an A.

Solomon’s was fabulous! They left carpet samples for me on several occasions. Also, they were willing to order the carpet before we paid for it. Overall, they were really, really easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Mr. Solomon arrived on time with three employees. They walked through the house, went back out to their van to get their tools and began working to stretch the carpet. I left the house to work in the yard while they worked. They completed the work in less than one and one half hours. There was no charge for the work. Mr. Solomon is very easy to work with. He stands behind his work. I have confidence in his integrity and professionalism.

The entire process went extremely well. Mr. Solomon arranged a timely date for the in-home measuring and estimate, and arrived timely. Mr. Solomon brought one of his sons to help take measurements. Several product samples were provided, and we discussed which product would suit my needs. I contracted the job to Mr. Solomon before he left that day, as I knew I was getting a fair price and instinctively knew that the work would be well done. Mr. Solomon ordered the flooring and advised that he would get my floor installed as soon as possible after the materials arrived. I advised Mr. Solomon that I was in no hurry to get the job done as my house is not very large and could be done quickly. I encouraged Mr. Solomon to do the 'bigger' jobs that he had pending for pre-holiday installation. Still, Mr. Solomon began my job just eleven days after our initial meeting. Mr. Solomon's two sons work with him, so there were three people working in what appeared to be a very organized system. They were friendly and professional, and made me feel that placing the flooring in my home was the most important job they had. They showed so much consideration for my dog! They moved her into a bedroom and closed the door when they had nails and staples on the floor so that she would not injure her paws. They put her water bowl in the room with her. The finished job was absolutely flawless, and the floors are just beautiful! I was so impressed that the baseboard was replaced so perfectly that it looks like it was never removed. My angst over investing a large amount of money in my home was greatly relieved. I plan to contract with Mr. Solomon to replace carpeting in my bedrooms and flooring in the entryway, two bathrooms, and laundry room.

Just simply great. We are going to be doing some additional flooring work throughout our entire home and we will definitely go back to Bill and his sons.

Wonderful, wonderful!! They were 10 times cheaper than anyone else. They were on their way to a bigger job with 4 guys.. so they stopped by on the way to do our little job and were in and out in 20 minutes.. literally!! It was great!

They left all residue on the carpet throughout the three rooms two stairways and two landings. Carpet residue - the threads and trim pieces - need a shop vac to clean that amount up. It wasn't one little spot, it was all over. Furniture was moved back on top of the carpet and left without cleaning up first. Seam in the hallway is raised and evident. I was told it would be pushed down as people walk on it, but I don't want it to be seen, and we don't have many people walking through the hallway. Seams in all door ways are raised as well. We trusted them based on their Angie's List ratings and word of mouth. I must be fair and honest in my response. I suggested to one of his men that they need a shop vac and he responded, "Can you see where we would put it" - indicating they had no space in their van.
