Being a first time home buyer, I was very naive and looking for someone that I might be able to trust. We settled on Ryan Murnane to help us make this very difficult decision. As a first time home buyer, one should be able to trust that their realtor will help guide them through the process and make sure that the property they are buying is a good investment. Ryan did none of this. Ryan showed us only a couple properties. I stated I wanted a low maintenance condo. He realizes that my girlfriend is gunning heavily on buying a house with a pool and he ran with that. I felt like the process was rushed along and that I wasn't given the proper time and information to make an educated decision. I was having second thoughts before the closing but when Ryan should have showed me that I had a way out, he said nothing and rushed us through the closing. The whole time he was praising the house saying what a great deal it was. Somehow I also got approved for a loan that I should have never been qualified for. A year later, Ryan did offer to help sell the house when I was getting really underwater. He had some friends that seemed interested. He showed them the house. They decided against it. When asked why, they admitted (and he agreed) that the kitchen was way too small and the house had too much wallpaper. Well, it sure would have been nice if these defects in the house would have been discussed with me instead of sugarcoating the place just to make the sale. I have since removed all the wallpaper and remodeled the kitchen. Basically, I feel like Ryan pushed really hard to just make a quick sale rather than taking time to discuss the pros and cons with the house. I was very disappointed with him as a realtor, and hope this will help other first time home buyers avoid this guy.
Description of Work: Was getting ready to buy my first house and was heavily relying on this family friend to help me make a smart investment for myself.
