Extremely unprofessional company. I worked here for a few years and we cut corners as much as possible and they up charged everything a crap ton. We would take a $2 sprinkler that a customer could dig up screw off and the new on on in a matter of minutes $40 and recomend things be done the most expensive way possible even if it could simply be fixed instead of replaced. They treat their employees good when they want and very poorly when they want. If customers would see first hand how we did things they would move on to the next company. As a lot of our customers did or would ask to contact my self personally because they hated dealing with our office due to how unprofessional they always are. All in all I'd say we are no where near a lot of the other competitors and would recommend you move on to a better rated company up the list. Just my personal opinion.

We had service performed by Green Touch Irrigation 18-24 months ago. This year, in the spring we contracted with another company to perform our irrigation service for the year. Several weeks ago I received a phone call from Green Touch to schedule the winterization of our sprinkler system. At the time, I asked if this was part of our service contract, and was told it was. I take responsibility that I didn't bother to go back and check which company our contract was with, but I never expected to receive a call from a company I was not currently contracted with, let alone be told it was part of a non-existent contract. My husband was home when they came and performed the service, and I assume it was done appropriately. Imagine my surprise to get a call this week from the company we have our contract with, and the same day, receive a bill from Green Touch! I called and expressed my displeasure at being told they were servicing our (non-existent) contract, but as I expected, they are unwilling to budge on the bill. They told me to call the company we have our contract with and ask for a refund since they won't need to service our system! So they are perfectly willing to ask a competitor to take a loss when they themselves aren't, after obtaining business in a dishonest manner. We'll pay the bill, but obviously won't use them again, and certainly won't recommend them based on their business practices.

I am really sorry to hear about this customer's experience, however, I do have to say that not all of the information provided is accurate. The customer is in our database because they have used us for irrigation services, which is why they were contacted because we regularly make contact with all customers with whom we have interacted with at some point in our business. We do not solicit or pay for customer contact information we only contact people we have interacted with within the business. For every phone call our office manager identifies herself and that she is with Green Touch Irrigation. Customer asked if she had a contract with us and our office manager confirmed she did not, and customer proceeded to schedule anyway. It is never been and never will be our practice to say that someone has a contract when they do not. It is not ethical and has never been an acceptable business practice for us. Our techs where company logoed apparal and our trucks clearly identify our company name on them. This is an unfortunate incident of a customer forgetting/not being aware of a contract or a name of the company they had this contract with. And I am really sorry as I know it can be very frustrating to make that mistake. However, it is not our responsibility to know that someone has a contract with a different company. We we were trying to help the customer remedy the situation by suggesting she contact the other company to see if they will credit her account or provide a refund. I am sorry that the customer was not satisfied with this help. We actually have another customer that does have a contract with us but had another company winterize her system, so we were able to offer her the spring 2018 start up since she did not use her contract for 2017 winterization. So we are always willing to make accommdations where appropriate. If the customer has another suggestion on how to remedy the situation that is fair to all, we are happy to discuss further with the customer. We stand by our excellent, ethical and trustworthy business practices. We are always available and willing to provide additional information and assistance to anyone when needed.

Disappointing. Our experience started out fine with Green Touch for our first 3 routine service calls. We called them out a couple weeks ago for the 4th time to troubleshoot a leak. Our valve box in our yard (which houses 3 valves) was filled with water. The technician was at our home for the 2:30 p.m. appointment when my wife got home from work at 2:20 p.m. He said he already looked at the valves, they were old and all 3 needed replaced. My wife asked which valve specifically was leaking so we could decide whether to replace them all or just the leaky one. He could not tell her and insisted the proper course of action was to replace all 3. We can appreciate a recommendation but feel we should have the option to make that decision ourselves. After spending no more than 5 minutes with my wife he left her with a quote for $300 for the repair. (We will spare you the details of the extreme lack of customer service and rude demeanor from this specific technician.) A week or so later we received an invoice for a $20 service fee. This seemed odd because at our last 3 appointments we were presented with an invoice on the spot and we paid the technician the same day with a check. We assumed because the technician spent only a few minutes and no work was performed we were not being charged- we have no problem with paying a service fee for a visit, but this seemed off to us. Especially because he never pin pointed the source of the leak which was the entire reason for the call out. We contacted Jessie in the office to express our disaapointment with the visit, the lack of professionalism from the technician and the fact that we still don?t know where the leak is coming from. We told her we would happily pay their service fee once they could tell us where our leak was coming fom. Instead of hearing our side of the situation she responded by sticking up for their technician and going on and on about how knowledgable he is, how well liked he is, and agreeing with him that old valves do often need replaced. She never grasped that he did not complete what we asked him to do- troubleshoot a leak. Only after we informed Green Touch that we would look to use a different company did Jessie offer to send the owner of the company (her husband) out to troubleshoot. Way too late- that should have been offered after our first contact to notify her the leak was never assessed- not 3 emails later. (Even more frustrating- she offered in her last email to look into installing a master valve to prolong the life of our other valves and cut the cost of the repair. If this was an option, why were we not told about this at our appointment? Or in her first response to us?) We called out a 2nd company who found the source of the leak and replaced the part for a third of the price Green Touch had quoted. We are happily working with this new company and we are paying the service fee (for a service that was never performed) to Green Touch simply to be done with them. UPDATE: As of 9/13/15: The office manager took care of our issues and refunded us the $20.00 service fee that was in question.

After 3 successful service calls for this customer during the 2015 season, we had an experience that was less than satisfactory on both ends on 8/19/15. Our other service calls to his home this year were for the following: 1. Turn on system and replace a 4” pop up and some nozzles (May 2015) 2. Move a sprinkler head and cap a head (June 2015). 3. Replace a 4” pop up that customer damaged by hitting it with his bed edger (August 2015). On 8/17/15, the customer contacted me via email to write about what he had observed as a leak in a valve box while mowing. Customer and I scheduled his appointment for 8/19/15 at 2:30 p.m. and agreed that this would be covered under our current $20 service call special (service call and up to 30 min of labor included) and anything else he would be given a quote for needed repairs for his approval. He did ask the approximate cost and I did let him know a couple different prices that it could possibly be, but that those were not set in stone until inspection on 8/19/15. On 8/19/15, my tech arrived approximately 45 minutes early to the appointment due to running ahead of schedule. I talked to the tech and since he knew what the area of concern was I advised that he could go ahead and take a look to see if he could determine what the problem was. When Customer’s wife arrived home for the appointment, my tech informed her of the problem and provided recommendations and a quote to do the repair in order to not only repair the leak, but also update system to help increase efficiency and reduce ongoing problems with system. The homeowner did not know that we had arrived that early, which was part of what they were upset about and I apologized that they were not informed of this at the time of the appointment. No problems regarding the appointment were reported until I received an email from the homeowner's wife on 8/27/15, 8 days following the appointment stating she was upset about the $20 service charge (that had already been agreed upon with customer) and feeling like she didn’t get the information she wanted at the time of the appointment. She stated she had tried to call the office, but was not able to reach anyone, however, no message had been left. Customer also noted being upset by the tech’s lack of friendliness compared to previous tech. She had also mentioned something about sending me pictures of the issue and that I gave them a priced based on this. However, I received no pictures from Customer (or anyone), only a brief synopsis of what he discovered when mowing. In my response, I let the homeowners know that the tech arrived earlier and had already troubleshooted the problem and I apologized that the tech had not let them know that he had already assessed the problem. The observed/troubleshooted issue was that a valve box holding a manifold of 3 different valves was leaking at the recommendation was to change all three valves due to the age of the system (installed in 2004) and the type of products used at installation would only continue to be a problem until all 3 were fixed and updated with newer, better quality parts. I did share that their experience with my tech was not the typical response I get about him as he was very well liked and knowledgeable about the issues presented. But I also apologized profusely to the homeowners that this was not the experience they encountered. I actually apologized at least 6 times during my email response back to the homeowner for their experience and also stated that I would talk to my tech about how he was perceived during this appointment. I apologized for them not feeling like they received the explanation they were hoping for and asked what we could do to help resolve the situation and relieve their concerns. I also asked what we could do differently to be more helpful and thanked them for their feedback. I expressed that there seemed to have been a lot of misunderstandings and miscommunications on both ends, and again, apologized for my role in that. The homeowners wife provided no additional response, however, Customer responded in stating that they were still upset about not getting the explanation they were hoping for and that they were still waiting on that from us before deciding how to proceed. At this point, is when I offered to have my husband come out to provide explanation of what my tech had found and answer any questions they had so they would be informed in the way they wanted. I again apologized multiple times for them being upset and that we wanted to fix the situation. I offered several times when my husband was able to come out and provide further assessment and I did share that there may be another option to avoid making the repair and prolong the life of the valves, but it would not entirely fix the problem, which could be explained more in person at the time of the appointment. It was AFTER this is when I was told by the homeowner that they were still not satisfied, would not take us up on the offer to come out to reassess and would no longer be using our services as he stated: “on a side note, we had another company come out to visit yesterday.” In Customer’s review he stated that we offered to come out only after he said he was going elsewhere, which is inaccurate. I thanked Customer for his time and stated that I was sorry that he wasn’t willing to allow us to come out to resolve his concerns and again apologized that the situation had occurred as I tried to help come to a resolution, but felt that I was not clearly communicating that which is why I wanted to have a face to face meeting to ensure all areas of concern were addressed. To which, Customer responded, “Thank you for the email, you have been helpful.” I am sorry to hear that the price the quote provided to them was unacceptable, however, there were a lot of issues with the system from the original installation (by another company) due to the design and products used that was going to cause ongoing issues throughout the life of the system, which had been communicated to previous and current homeowner. We did our best to maintain the system for the previous and current homeowners based on what changes they were willing to make, however, not all recommendations were followed resulting in ongoing problems and repairs needed to the system. Ideally, it would have been really helpful for the customer to reach out immediately following the appointment to express concerns so it could have been taken care of in a more timely manner. Instead, over a week passed before I had any knowledge of a problem. In any case, no matter how much time had passed, I did my best to acknowledge their concerns, provide additional information to them and provide possible ways to resolve the problem, and have the company owner come out (no charge) to provide resolution however, the customer was not in agreement with what I was offering and decided to part ways. The $20 service fee has since been waived and voided and this has been communicated to the customer. .

I contacted them upon receiving a letter from the city saying it was time for the test. Withing 15 minutes I received confirmation that they would be out this week and would send a copy of the report that they give to the city. All my experiences with them have been good. They do what they say, when they say they will. I am very pleased with their performance.

AK showed up on time, performed the service and found additional issues to the tune of around $250.00. Right now I am debating the financial viability of maintaining a sprinkler system. I may just move a hose around next year to do my watering. The system is getting too expensive to operate. This comment is not meant to be a knock on AK Irrigation just on the overall expense of maintaining this system for anyone thinking of installing one. My system came with the house which was built in 2007.

Awesome job AGAIN!! A total of 4 workers arrived and did a great job, they were very neat, used tarp to put dirt on when digging, replaced existing sod and landscape that was moved during install. Treated home as if it were their own! I have used this firm twice in the past month and they have performed awesome on both occasions.

Ordered the Sprinkler system start up for $59. I already turned on the sprinkler system myself. I wanted to have the sprinkler heads adjusted as the ground, grass and landscape have changed since the irrigation system was installed many years ago. I also had a leak that needed to be fixed. A technician came out and did the inspection. I think he might have been looking for problems to fix than the start up. He told me I had to replace more than 20 sprinkler heads and quoted me almost $1200 to replace them. He did fix my leak after I asked him. At least I think he did. I haven't had to use it yet with all the rain.

Chris (the owner) arrived, looked at all the zones, made necessary adjustments, made recommendations, located small leak in line combng from the house, gaave quote for this, replaced 2 heads with 12 inch pop ups for landscape area. We recently moved into a home with a full sprinkler/irrigation system however I wasn't familiar with how it worked since I've only dealt with above ground hose timer setups. The tech arrived at the scheduled time and began to check each zone (we have 15) to ensure that the heads were popping up correctly and not leaking. After the first few zones it was apparent that the system hadn't been used in a few years since a majority of the heads were buried in the ground. He was able to find each sprinkler head and make sure that at least all zones were functioning but marked about 1/2 of my heads as needing replaced since each was leaking to some degree. He also shows me how to use the timer system and what to do in order to manually active a particular zone. I received a quote that day with an estimated cost to repair all of the leaking heads which was broken down into parts and labor. While it seems reasonable, I'm going to weigh my options on what to repair/replace and when at this time.
