Went well; grateful he came out on short notice and to check out the electrical panel; and shortly thereafter replaced it.

Built a store-bought shed for us and did a pretty good job. He also did some home improvement work around the house. We scheduled more work for him, at a specific time and date, and he never showed up. No call, no return of calls. Unacceptable.

Dan was able to complete the whole job in about a week. He followed up with us each day about how things were going and what items may need additional attention. The opening of the kitchen worked great and we are very pleased with the selection of fans that he put in the bathroom for us.

Dan and his crew completed the extensive demo in a day and a half. We had a plan on the layout of the new bath but Dan came up with an even better suggestion once all the demo was complete. They were meticulous in their clean and left each day spotless. They quickly installed the shower system, new walls and flooring. He subbed out the detailed cabinets to a craftsman who did a fabulous job. They installed the sink and had a glass contractor do the shower door system. They also put in great looking wainscoting and trim as well as the lighting and fan. The only delay was on the painting as Dan suggested it be professionally sprayed. The bathroom looks great!

Dan and his partner were very professional and quick! I would definitely use them again and would refer to anyone.

After coming to look at work to be done, the rep said an estimate would be ready soon. I never heard from them again. I was very disappointed. If they were not able to do the work, I would have at least liked to have been notified.

He is very professional and knowledgeable. He is also good at being precise about the cost and breaking it down to bring it upfront. He is free to discuss about changes or issues and coming with solutions when he finds a problem. He is very accommodating and got to my place in an hour during an emergency.

Using Angie's List, we initially contacted three contractors to bid on our job. One of the contractors never sent back a quote and the other two were wildly different in their bids (by as much as $2000.00). Frustrated by the lack of response from one contractor and the two vastly different range of charges, my wife suggested we look to hire a neighbor of my parents (Dan Loken). Several years ago Dan moved into an extremely run down home next to my parents and fixed it up inside and out. My parents hired Dan to do some work at their house and he always did great work. I knew Dan was a licensed electrician, and I knew he could do about anything else, but I guess I just never thought he was available to do the kind of work I needed done. So upon checking Angie's List, I noticed Dan Loken Home Improvement LLC was listed and had received many "A" ratings. A bonus for us! I called Dan and he offered to stop by and take a look. Dan's approach was to fix the problem areas, not replace ALL of the wood along the back of the house, as we were told by one contractor. I immediately knew he was our man. Dan scheduled a time and completed the job in one day w/7.5 hours of work performed. He did a thorough job and his price was unbelievable fair, considering it took two men an entire day and A LOT of work. It's always difficult to know who is telling you the truth and who is just trying to make more money for themselves. I could clearly see that there were only a few sections of wood that were rotted, but I did not have the tools or know-how to do the work myself. So when one guy shows up and tells you it will be two to three thousand dollars and that doesn't even include the materials, that about makes you sick. But when Dan looked at it and said that he can see that there were a couple of sections that needed replaced and thought he could get to them without ripping up the entire back, I knew I was dealing with an honest contractor. Nice Job Dan!!!

Dan and his assistant showed up exactly at 9am and did the ceiling fan remove/install in an hour. They didn't mind if I watched, and I'm glad I didn't try to do it myself. For instance, the two in-wall remotes of the old fan were wired differently than the new fan's remotes. The guys were friendly, expert, and efficient. The cleanup was great (they spread a sheet under the work area) and they carried all the old stuff away. This is our first time using them and they are now at the top of our list for who to call.

Dan Loken Home Improvement LLC seemed efficient. I met him once. He was very knowledgeable of what we wanted to do. The only reason we didn't use them is because the other company gave us an exact estimate and they wanted me to pick up everything ourselves and the other company had samples and I could pick everything from the house, I didn't have to run around picking up stuff at stores.

He did a nice job and was on time. He was very neat and did a good job.

It could not have been better service.

Our experience with him went well. He was very efficient and he did an excellent job. We were really happy with the kitchen. The hardest thing was that he didn't communicate that well but his partner did. We ended up getting along very well and it was really good.

They have a great service. They have a good quality of work and they are professional.

Dan was very prompt to come out to do an estimate. We traded a number of emails clarifying some questions and he was always responsive. When he and his helper came to do the work they arrived on time and went right to work. The only break they took was for a short lunch. They were very careful with their drop cloths and ladders. The work was excellent and they cleaned up when they were done. I would definitely use Dan again.

All the projects were done very well. Dan and his staff are friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Each project was thoroughly done and done neatly. Dan took the time to explain each step. Obviously, we like his work as he has done 3 projects in this house and numerous in a prior home.

I will describe the most recent job. After Dan had installed our exterior door this past summer, he found that the old storm door could not be used and that it would be necessary to order a custom door. In planning that order, Dan found that the cost for this custom door was going to be fairly steep, and he advised us that for a little more we could have a door with a built-in screen. We are very pleased that he brought that to our attention. As always Dan and Darren arrived on time, did the work efficiently, and left the work area clean.

Good, they came back to refasten an outside cabel wire. He was very responsive.

They were fantastic - arrived on time, carefully and efficiently replaced the light, and cleaned up afterward even taking my entry rugs outside to shake off. The estimate was correct.

He was excellent with excellent pricing. He showed up when he said and was done when he said he would be done. He was done with the kitchen in a week and the bathroom in three days. He also did some breaker box work for us before and it was also good. We have talked about using him again for some small jobs.

Dan came out very quickly and did an estimate for my listing, as I am a real estate agent. His estimate was very fair. Compared to other estimates he was the quickest to get back and his price was the best. When it came time for him to do the work, he quickly fit me into his schedule. I trusted him to be alone in the house. He did a great job, cleaned up well, and got back to me very quickly. He even fixed the shower door when he was there to do the estimate. I would definitely use Dan Again.

Dan was hard to get a hold of and return calls. Once we did get a written estimate and a start date. The workers were friendly and respectful; they cleaned up each day after completing work. It was December, so on the cooler side. But they were careful to minimize the time that the house was exposed to the exterior temperatures. The job was estimated to take two days, it took four. When the work was completed, we were dissatified with exterior trim that gapped an inch on most corners. Dan was reluctant to admit to the poor quality but convinced to repair the work. He repaired it and it looks wonderful. The interior trim has gaps at the corners which will require putty (we are doing the finishing), the corners should have met better. The sliding function of the window The windows are large and it was suggested that that might be the case. But is it because of the size or the workmanship? I don't know the answer.

I spent about $700 on that service. I would tell others that he was professional and he did the job in three hours. He and his buddy did exactly what they said they would do and they were fine.

Dan was on time and was able to find the problem with my low voltage light and was able to repair outdoor lighting. He told me he would get back to me about getting a new transformer. Instead I had to track him down to get information. After a week he had now answers on how to fix it. He asked me to call the manufacturer because he didn't have to time to look into it. He never called me back when he said he would. After almost 3 weeks with no progress on the repair I finally told him I would find someone else to get the job done.
