We had just purchased a 100 year old home and needed our floors refinished before moving in. Bill managed to squeeze us into his schedule and get the job done in a week. He was always responsive, answered any questions we had and gave us a competitive estimate. His team was super professional and did a fantastic job with our older floors. They look amazing! I highly recommend this company.

Called and scheduled for someone to come out and give us an estimate. Came home early to be sure not to miss them, but they never showed and never called. If they are that lax on estimates, I wouldn't trust them to work on my floors.

I would give them and A+. The final finished work was absolutely awesome. They were just A, they are really personable, professional and their advice is just on point. The finished product is absolutely awesome.

I phoned to schedule an appointment. I told the woman who answered the phone that I work during the day, but had flexibility as to scheduling. She told me that the minimum charge is $650, and was the price a problem. I told her it was not. We scheduled for 5/9/2017, with an 11-12 window. At 8 am on 5/9/2017, a woman called and said there had been a 'mix up' or 'confusion' regarding scheduling. There was a lot of cross-talk/chatter in the background. She asked where my address was relative to Hilliard-which seems like could have been identified via Google Maps. She said that they were 'running late, but that she'd phone me right back, with an updated appointment time. Fortunately, I have a position that enables me to work remotely. Two hours later, not having received a phone call, I phoned them. A man answered the phone, and again, there was a lot of chatter in the background. I described the earlier phone conversation, and he gave the phone to the person he identified as the woman with whom I had spoken earlier. She said that they would be there by 1:00. At 1:30, no one had showed up, nor had anyone phoned to say they were running late/when they would be there. I went to work-which had I known that they would not show up, or behave professionally, I could have done at 8am, when it first became questionable as to whether they would show up.

Family owned, we had grandpa come out for an estimate. He was super friendly and professional. Two guys came out and sanded and sealed the floor. They were out when they said they would be and were there everyday until the project was finished. They were easy to reach via phone. I would use them again.

They did a great job of making my floors in my 1959 home look beautiful. When I can find the funds, I will have them refinish the floors in my dining room and my living room.

I used a company for floors and it is the oldest floor refinishing company in Columbus and it is Columbus Floor Sanding Company. My experience with them was mostly good. We played a little bit of phone tag which sometimes happens for the details of the job. I would certainly give them a 'B' plus or something like that. It is a middle of the road rental property and it is not my private residence. They did somewhat better than an acceptable job. They did a bunch of work.

Columbus Floor Sanding responded quickly to our call for an estimate. They were professional and detailed in their response to our needs. Unfortunately, they were not able to start work to meet out timeline due to their busy schedule. for that reason we selected another provider.

After quickly eliminating other contractor's on Angie's List, we chose Columbus Floor Sanding. The scope of work included a complete sanding and refinishing of the entire main level of our home. Because we were remodeling, several areas needed to be repaired and/or new wood added. We loved their attention to detail. We also appreciated that they were a family business, and only family did the work. They were very helpful with care and maintenance recommendations. We will use them again in the future if needed.

I love the work this company does. This is the 3rd time I have used them and the results they produce are amazing. They have refinished 3 bedrooms, a hallway, and my stairway. My hardwood floors were placed in the 1960s and half were covered in carpet. Both the carpeted and uncarpeted floors now have a deep rich glow and pop with beauty. I used another company for my living and dining room and Columbus Floor Sanding did a far superior job. I am so pleased with them. Wish I had more hardwood to do!!!

The work turned out fantastic and they fixed any problems that came up. They were responsive and cleaned up everything.

Columbus floor sanding did a wonderful job taking old hardwood floors, with holes and plywood patches and making them look great! They are a local family business and very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They brought in a crew of three and in one week fixed, sanded and finished the floors. They were very professional, helpful and diligent. They also did a wonderful job matching the hallway floor to the already finished bedroom floors. I would use Columbus Floor Sanding again. I recommended them to my next door neighbor. They also used them and were very happy.

It went fairly well, but, they got in a hurry, and tried to screw things up in the end, but it went alright, but, I will not use them again. They started out good and it ended up bad. We had a few discussions.

The price was reasonable. They did a great job. They were professional and nice. It is a family owned business. They are very good.

The company performed the work over three days explaining the process everyday. Workers were professional and wentout of their way to minimize the dust and mess. The floors are gorgeous, I highy recommend this company.

This is a family owned and operated business and we really had a great experience. They were honest, fair and the communication was great. I loved the idea of working with a local owned and operated company. They said only their family would be insde our house while we were not their and I appreciated that. The three generations of this family that worked with us were professional and I would recommend them to everyone.

Great Job overall - I was very pleased with the result ( these were floors that we found under years of carpet that had paint damage,carpet tack damage and pet stains ) and I would recommend to anyone.

Overall I was satisfied with the way the floors turned out. There was some significant water damage on some sections of the floor, with large gaps between the boards. Shoe molding was missing in some rooms. Columbus sanding sanded the floors, cleaned up their dust and sealed the floors with polyurethane. The house was unoccupied, so it was simple enough to avoid the fumes and stay off the floors while they cured. The company failed in some details. One stair tread was not sealed completely, and some shoe molding was not installed per the job description. A shoe print was left behind in one section of the landing on the second floor, but that may have been some polyurethane that was late to cure. The floors still look great, and Columbus Sanding Company was thorough enough to get inside the closets. They came back to correct the stair tread at no cost, and charged to sand out the shoe print (noticed later). I installed the shoe molding myself.

During estimate stage, many companies recommended that our all the rooms(living room, dining room and kitchen) on the main floor be refinished to make all the areas match. We decided that that was the best course of action. My wife really liked this Company but price was about $200 higher then the company we were planning on hiring. Just before we made a contract with another company, we receive a followup call from Columbus Floor Sanding. My wife told them that she liked them but their overall price was too high. Columbus Floor Sanding agreed to match the price of the other company so we hired Columbus Floor Sanding on the spot.

My family bought a home and before moving in had all the floors refinished. It was a large job. Lots of labor. Some of the floors had carpet and two layers of linoleum on top of the wood. The job took 11 business days and we could not be happier. We had one surprise in the powder room. It was the only room in the house that did not have hard wood and when the linoleum was removed it turned out the sub floor had rot and Columbus Flooring ripped out the sub floor, rebuilt it and installed new hard wood. They matched the new wood beautifully to the 1935 wood. The company was professional, very knowledgeable and great to work with.

I had several estimates and found this company to be the cheapest. They were pleasant to have in my home and they worked around my schedule. They were always here at the time they said they would be. They did a good job and my floors look great.

It's a very well run family business. They were just wonderful.

It looks beautiful. They do not use subcontractors.

The floors look good (some small bubbles in poly, stain is slightly darker than the rest of the house, but we expected variation), and the price was better than 2 other quotes we received. The job was done on schedule. However, I am left with a sour opinion of this company as they will not return my calls or send me a receipt for tax purposes. I have to assume they don't need repeat business.
