The work was performed competently but, due to poor estimates and communication on the provider's part, the work was performed much later than we had expected and cost more than twice as much as estimated. The provider (in business since the late 1990s) visited our property and mailed us an estimate during the first week of April 2014. During the initial visit, he told me he would make precise estimates on the materials needed using an aerial photography service he subscribed to. The bottom line on the estimate was $1800. We accepted. In early May, we called to ask when they would do the work, and they replied mid-May. We were not very pleased, but due to weather delays, this did not seem unreasonable. During the third week of May, I called again and was told that it would be a couple more weeks because they were busy with other customers. Because some of my less-established plants needed mulch soon, I cancelled a small part of the job (the delivery of a few yards of much to my driveway), and instead, we purchased 40 bags of mulch from a local garden shop and applied it to the needy areas ourselves. The provider finally arrived on June 3 and finished the edging and mulching in 2 days. The work and cleanup were fine. However, 8 days later we received a bill for $4418. We were stunned, and called to get an explanation. A few days later, after reviewing the charges, the estimator/manager we had been dealing with said that the charges were correct and that the original estimate did not cover everything. He contended that it was not possible for him to fully estimate the cost ahead of the work, and he would not budge on the charges. We have worked with 4 landscapers and lawn maintenance firms on a variety of significant projects over the last 7 years and have never run into this problem before. We fully understand that landscape work involves some uncertainty re timing and work required, but we have never encountered a cost over-run of more than 5 % and then only with notification from the provider. I have never had anyone say that they could not provide a full estimate and would never knowingly agree to such an open-ended deal. I fault myself for not demanding more specifics on the details of the cost estimate in writing. However, I feel that the provider handled the financial part of this job in a very unbusiness-like, if not downright unethical, manner. I will never recommend them to anyone since there are other landscape firms whose work is just as good and whose cost estimates are much more reliable.

Envirocare removed a large tree that was located next to my asphalt drive , close to my garage and evergreen bushes, takeing care not to damage any of these. I was very well satisfied with their work and price. | The only problem was they did not show up on the date that they agreed to. It took two or three phone calls over a couple of weeks to get them to come out.

I had the provider come out to remove an old evergreen at my son's new home. It was very tall and looked like a decent wind would have knocked it over into the house. Also had them remove some old shrubs that were huge and ugly. That showed up when they said they would and did a very professional job. I was a little concerned about them not removing the stump that I had ordered done, but once they explained that they would be back to finish the job once the ground was more dried out (had some pretty significant rain previously) I happy with the service they performed that day. Approx a week later, they did return to remove the stumps. I was very happy with them and would use them again. I would also recommend them to others.

Installed irrigation system in front yard. Ran new 1" supply line to outdoors from basement. Ran 4 zones to front yard. Some of the plumbing components (valves) outside near basement exit are starting to rust. Not sure if that's expected or not.

Estimator was prompt an professional. Explained everything very well. Application crew was fast and curtious. Extremely satisfied with the results. Everyone wishes their lawn looks like mine!

They're excellent, they're always available. You can call anytime, and ask for additional services. They always clean up real well when they're done. They're very friendly and helpful. They also do an excellent job with clean up, as for spring and fall clean up. And neighbors have complimented me on my lawn.

We have used their services for 6 years. They do all of our yard and lawn work. They have planted our trees for us. They even take care of the sprinkler system for us. We called to sign up for the spring cleanup and he mentioned that one of the bushes was leaning because of the storms we just had. We thought it needed to be replanted, and by the end of the day they were here and took care of it. They do our mowing once a week, and all the edging every time and they clean up the yard. We added some extra things for them to do for us. They are very fast, professional and polite and we have never had a problem with them. They give us great service. They also do the spraying and the fertilizer for our lawns. We will continue to use them in the future.

I thought they were very professional and the quality of their work was excellent. It was a lot of hard work and they did it well.

Called early this spring to report I decided to take the trees out and replace them instead of treating the disease, so CANCEL service. They asked if they could bid on the new landscape job, I said sure. Someone came out and gave me a written estimate to remove the trees and stumps (it was fair) and said another person would give me an estimate on replacing trees. This other person did not show up after several weeks, so I contracted with another company for the job. Then a bill appears on my door for spraying the pines for the fungus! And no call the day before as I had requested. So I called to say I was NOT paying for the spray as I had canceled the service. Then I received 2 calls (left on voicemail) from a manager/owner asking me to explain. His tone was accusatory, as if I was just trying to get out of paying ... it is not my fault they have such poor communication.

Doug met with me right away and was quick to give me estimates for work that needed to be done. Because we are having some excavating done for other projects, we decided to only complete a portion of the work at this time. It then took over a month for him to have somebody come back and complete the agreed-upon work. After several calls, he expressed that he had several "big" projects they were working on that were taking up the company's time and he would get to me the first week in August. That came and went, and another call the following week FINALLY produced results.

Wow, I could say so many things. They were professional from start to finish. They were flexible with letting us tailor make the project to fit our budget. They started on time and finished when they said they would. They have stood behind their work 100%. Several plants and Evergreens have been replaced under warranty. When you find a company like this, you stick with them and recommend them highly.
