Description of Work: Waiting years for them to stand by their warranties. First round of complaints regarding doors a few years ago were never rectified. I'm into the second round now regarding the windows and their 4-6 week promise for replacement is now at the 10 week mark. They did not wait for my payment when the doors and windows were installed in 2004, I paid immediately upon completion of installation. Not sure how to get the warranty honored at this point for the windows that have bad seals. They tell me they are going to replace the windows when they receive them from the factory. Again, it's been about ten weeks or more and apparently the factory has not sent my windows to them. Still waiting......

Description of Work: I had a 6 x 10 patio room installed plus a glass block window. This was the second time I used Champion. The first was in 1999 when they replaced 8 aluminum windows. I found all the service technicians punctual, courteous and professional answering all the questions I had at the time. When complete with the job the area was thoroughly cleaned. | |Although a bit pricey, they stand behind their quality work and guarantee. Even though my windows were over 15 years old, they replaced ones that were streaking and cloudy due to broken seals. | |(Not sure how to answer the question "were services performed or was money paid to the service provider". The glass block window was paid by check to Champion and well and the replacement windows, but a monthly payment plan was established through another provider for the patio room.)

Description of Work: I had new windows installed in the whole house and 3 exterior doors plus a storm door. I was very pleased with the work done with the windows installation. Quality of the work was excellent and they were careful and cleaned up so there was only minor debris we had to contend with. The installation of the exterior doors was sadly not the same experience. The door to the garage still does not fit properly even after two different people from Champion came to fix it. The crew of young men who installed the windows also installed the doors; however they were minus their boss when they did the door installation. Perhaps they didn't have the knowledge or experience to do this job correctly or maybe the door wasn't sized properly. Whatever the reason, it still doesn't fit like it should. After calling them twice and it still not fitting correctly, I let it go because it will close and lock. Also, with the door installation, I have to repaint the trim because no matter how much I scrub I can not get rid of the dirty finger and hand prints. I also have to do touch up on the walls. If I rated them on the window installation only, they would receive an A. I think having a boss working along side of young people makes a big difference in the quality of the work. At least that was my experience in this situation. I also knew the salesman personally and asked him to come out to look at the work, but he sent the repair man instead. I guess once the money is received, in their mind, the job and relationship with the customer ends. Because of the second half of the work that was done, I would not use them again and would not recommend them to anyone else. I was going to have them build a sunroom for me, but obviously that will never happen.

Description of Work: Took out existing french door style patio door and replaced with sliding patio door. Everything went well. I would call again for other estimates, just be aware they are more expensive than other brands, but so far completely satisfied. Also carries 100% lifetime warranty against everything including accidental screen and glass breakage. You just pay $75 for service call.

Description of Work: Champion built a 4 Season room and did everything they said they would. The individuals that actually constructed the room were great, cleaned up after themselves, and were always prompt. They really know what they are doing. A couple of things we wanted changed and they made those changes with no problem and no extra charges. We are very pleased and highly recommend them. Champion may coast a little more, but you get what you pay for and we definitely got a quality room. Highly recommend them!

+ 1 moreGlass block and windows went well, but the siding, which has yet to be completed, is very unsatisfactory. We contracted Champion in August 2007 and stated that we wanted the job completed by Nov 1, 2007. Glass block and windows were, but siding was not. We were contacted in November that they were ready to start and we told them we wished to wait until Spring. We were told that they had to get the job done. After two weeks of deliberating back and forth about starting the job we finally said that they could do the house but the garage had to wait until Spring. Job was started in mid December, when it was very cold, rainy and snowy, and we had to deal with Champions trailer in the driveway for 13 days for a job that should have taken 4 to 5. When the work was completed, we noted several things that were not satisfactory and were told we had to pay for the work completed (to get it off 2007's books we were told), which we did and told Champion we wanted these items corrected. This was December 26 when we paid, and as of September 21, 2008 the work is still not done. In July and August we contacted Toby Tokes and he was to have come out to look at the situation, but he did not. He was called on three occasions and we have yet to see him or even hear from him for that matter. We were contacted on September 9-10 and were told that new fascia material has to be ordered and they will be out to correct the problems. I am not holding my breath.
Description of Work: Complete home package. Windows, glass block and siding.

+ -1 moreActually, I made it into a four season room, but it is beautiful. We did have a few problems with the screens or something. They kept coming back to repair it all and they were great. They were very professional and very good. I thought that it was all very worth it considering they had to cement as well. I have no complaints.

The craftsmanship is outstanding. Every joint is perfect, every line is straight. The installation crew were truly professional in their conduct and treatment of the site, kept orderly and clean. Everyone was friendly and courteous. The final result speaks for itself. I can highly recommend Champion for this type of work.
Description of Work: They remodeled the basement to include large family room, bedroom, full bathroom and three storage rooms. Woven polyolefin cloth covered fiberglass panels, oak trim, suspended tile ceiling, lights.
