Quality of original work was below standard. Caulk lines weren't smoothed out which has lead to separation. Also there were a couple of gaps near the top of the wall which lead to water penetration but this was eventually fixed. While talking with the salesman I had asked to have the underpart of original soffits removed to improve airflow. Instead of this the new work was put directly on top of the old soffits. So now there is barely any airflow into attic. When I asked about this I was told it wasn't in the contract even though I had discussed this with the salesman and told him that I wanted this done. Guy doing the work said he was a sub-contractor that wasn't actually employed by Champion, he stated that most jobs were done by sub-contractors. This isn't an issue really, just making a statement in case you like to have actual employees of the company you hire do the work. Main issue was when some of the siding had been damaged and needed replacement. The siding that was originally used was no longer manufactured so it was not possible to fix it. This to me means the "lifetime repair" contract was violated. The siding is still cracked to this day. I also had some additional work that needed to be done near the area that was resided which I would have been happy to pay for, but once again the siding was no longer manufactured so it was not possible for them to do it. Repair guy suggested having it wrapped which sounded fine. Instead of going through the company he suggested something on the side. This was fine with me. Unfortunately he disappeared and stopped answering my calls. I wound up getting the additional work done by a third party. Overall, not happy with Champion. This is the only time in 10 years of home ownership and over a dozen contractor jobs that I was unhappy with the work that was done.

I recently purchased a home that had a Champion patio room installed by the previous owner. When it rains, I have noticed that I am having some leaking at the seams so I called the company to ask about warranty info (according to their site, the room should still be under the 15 year/lifetime warranty). The first thing the girl told me was that the warranty is non-transferable and then added that I would have to pay a $100 travel charge just to have someone come out to take a look at the roof. Seriously? So you offer free in home estimates for new jobs but want to charge $100 just to come out and 'look' at a problem with your work. Shame on you.

From start to finish it went well. There were no attempts to charge more for services after we agreed on a price. Workers were polite and cleanup up the work site when done.

We ordered the room at their showroom in Sandusky, OH. The sales person was knowledgable and responsive explaining all of our options. The two men that installed the room were also knowledgable, professional and very patient with all of the questions/requests we had. Great guys! The installer went out of his way to purchase a nicer looking handrail at Home Depot for the front and rear steps. We had an issue with the building inspector that they addressed without cost to me.

I would recommend Champion Windows to anyone considering these above renovations. From their representatives who give the estimates to the actual workmen who install--quality is the word that comes to mind. I'll be honest, Champion is not the cheapest, but after reviewing their products, it's clear the quality is worth the added cost. Also, the workmen were friendly, trustworthy and cleaned up after each work session.

About seven years ago we had all the windows on our house except the basement replaced by Champion. We were very pleased by the quality of the windows and the service of the installers. That is the reason we chose Champion for our basement windows. The installer was on time, and having to work both outside and inside the house, was done in a reasonable amount of time. He was professional and did a top quality job of installation. We are very happy with Champion of Toledo and would recommend them to anyone.

It was an excellent experience. They were punctual, professional, and answered all of my questions. They were very friendly. They picked up after themselves. They didn't stop work to answer questions. They were very diligent.

Dana, the salesperson, arrived on time and gave an informative talk about the windows with demonstrations. I purchased 11 windows which took 8 weeks to make them. Mark came on time to install the windows. He was considerate and thorough in his work. Was very professional and cleaned everything up when done.

In 2009 I contacted Champion for new windows and they worked with me on the best plan for my budget. No pressure in doing all 10 windows at the same time (5 up and 5 down). We decided to do the upper level first since heat rises and I wanted to save on my heating bills. I noticed the very first winter that the upstairs was warmer. The installation process was very clean and without incident. When I was ready to do my lower level windows I did not hesitate to contact them again for replacing them. Same experience, clean and professional. I experienced one issue with one crank window but they were out to fix it without issue. Heating/cooling bill budget in 2012 has been reduced $20 a month and that with our 2012 heat filled summer. And cleaning them is a breeze. I would highly recommend Champion Windows.

Salesman that came to the house was very professional and knowledgeable. Had excellent examples of the products we were looking for. Installation was completed in the time frame given, and done in a clean and professional manner. We also had to have a previously installed window serviced, they ended up replacing the window at no charge to us. excellent customer service from beginning to end.

The salesman was prompt coming to my home after my phone call. A brother & sister team installed the doors, the same team that installed all my windows earlier. They were careful and very efficient. Cleaned all the mess up. Price was reasonable.

They stay on schedule. They do the work as promised. They do excellent work.

They gave me lifetime warranty and they will come out and service the windows if I call and there will be no service charge. Mark and his sister came out and installed the windows. They cleaned up the home before they left and they even cleaned the windows after they were installed. They were very polite and considerate.

We are very happy with the entire experience. Their representative, Dave, explained in great detail everything about their doors from the type and strength of the glass used, the locking system, to the actual installation process. In follow up, an employee came to our home and rechecked the original measurements. He also checked for lead based paint. The installers were very professional and completed the job in a short amount of time. Our overall experience was great. We have no complaints whatsoever. The office staff was very easy to talk with and ready to answer any questions we may have had about our project. They had someone at our home right away when we did have a question. It is very windy where we live (wind seems to blow constantly) and, with our old doors, our window treatments would have been blowing out into the room. Now the wind stays outside where it belongs and our window treatments stay where they belong!! We now have cooler rooms in the summer and warmer rooms in the winter, thus making a savings in cooling and heating expense. When it comes time to replace some of our other doors or windows, we will be calling Champion!!

The window installation was satisfactory. The windows themselves are no better than anyone else's. For what they did, the price was atrocious. I was expecting more performance out of the windows based on the price. They had a guarantee that if a window gets broken, they will replace it for free. I've never had to utilize this, but I'm sure this factored into the price. The price was excessive, the customer service was satisfactory, but the installer left a huge mess that took me hours to clean up. I would not recommend them to anyone.

The sales person came to our home with samples. He was very professional, did not pressure us into any thing. The installers where prompt, professional and left the job site cleaner than they found it.

Satisfactory, although the foreman assigned to the job did not coordinate the various required steps to complete the installation from start to finish. He could have used a lesson in timeline management. We, the homeowners, had to direct each phase of the installation. The firm also used an electrical company whose electrician continually insisted on arranging the lighting his way ( it had nothing to do with the correct way, he just did not want to be bothered with any additional work). Although both Champion installers were good workers, the lead person could have been more professional.

Gave estimate was on time and professional but price was highest from all estimates.

I took measurements of 7 windows in to showroom , rep came out and confirmed measurements, windows were ordered, installed. We were satisfied with product and installation so we contracted to do the remainder of home. The windows were measured, ordered, installed. We are happy with the work and will find out their energy savings this winter.
