Mission Electric was really great!! I gave them a call and they were able to come out and give me an estimate within a few days. I ended up hiring the company for several reasons. Their pricing was very competitive to all the other estimates I had received, Their response time in giving me a estimate and start date for the work was great, they were really professional and a big reason for me is the fact they are a Christian ran company. When they came out to give me an estimate they were very thorough in what the job would entail and how long it would take. The company pulled all the proper permits for the city of Akron and did everything within code. The work turned out very nice, everything worked and everything passed when the city inspector came out for the inspection. I was also happy to see the company did not use cheap quality materials. It has been almost a year since I had the work done and I still have not had any issues. I don't usually waste the time to get on here to write a review unless the company was really bad or really great. Mission Electric was really great and I would highly recommend them! You know you're getting a fair price and that the work will be done right and within code. I will definitely be hiring them for any future electrical needs.
Description of Work: New electric ran for a new pool and power to the pool deck and pool pump.

Description of Work: we lost power to a number of outlets and smelled burning wires in our basement. We called Steve and he was able to troubleshoot the issues to two loose connection in two different junction boxes. In addition, the breaker and one of our GFI outlets were burned out and 15 amp wire was connected to a 20 Amp service. He replaced that as well. Everything is working fine now and we have peace of mind now thanks to Steve

I spoke to Steve on Tuesday, May 10th to describe what I needed and setup an appointment. He gave me some pricing over the phone for the work that I needed and said that he could come up Monday morning at 8:30am. He asked me to text him my address, which I did, and he replied back saying thank you and saying that he'd see me Monday. Monday morning rolled around, so I sent him a text at 7:30am to make sure we were still good for 8:30am. At 8am, I got a text back that said "Gonna have to reschedule for later in the week" with no apology or further explanation (my assumption was that he woke up and saw the text having forgotten about the appointment completely). I spent the previous evening moving things around in my basement to give him access to things, rearranging my office, and making arrangements with work to be in a little late. I was given 30 minutes notice that he wasn't going to show. I just replied back with "ok" and waited for him to get back to me. Two days went by and he made no attempt to contact me to reschedule the work. I sent him another text and said "Are you still interested in this work? I wanted it done as soon as possible, so if you're unavailable I need to find somebody else." That was 7 days ago and I haven't heard a word back from him.
Description of Work: Gave verbal estimates over the phone and scheduled an appointment. Never showed up.

We purchased a commercial building in 2011 that required some extensive electrical work. We are completely satisfied with the portion of this work performed by Mission Electric. Interviews were conducted with several electricians and Mission Electric was by far the most professional and helpful. They submitted a complete breakdown off costs for the entire project which included areas were cost may very...not only additional cost but possible savings. The job was given to Mission Electric and they completed all work on a timely bases. They cleaned all areas worked in leaving no evidence that any work had been performed. The best new was they saved us money from their original quote. I would not hesitate to recommend this company for those who have electrical needs. Steve knows the electrical trade well.
Description of Work: Cost efficient outdoor parking lot lighting was needed on our commercial building. Electrical wiring from the breaker box on the back of the building needed to be installed through the attic up to the front of the building. All wiring and exterior light was installed including a photo cell. Their work was completed to our complete satisfaction. We have additional electrical work needing to be done and we will not hesitate to call on Mission Electric.

Steve Pope showed up the first day about a 1/2 hour late for the estimate, When he finally arrived, I told him what we had planned for the kitchen and talked about the possible need to put new breakers in the existing box. Steve went over everything and even checked the supply for our condo from the outside. I informed Steve that I was a member of Angie's list and would be making a report on our experience. Steve wrote up an estimate of $720 to do this work. In his estimate, he made no mention of improving the breakers. Steve was to supply all the wiring, sockets, switches and whatever was needed for the project. He asked us to let him know when the job was ready to be done. We notified Steve when the walls were all down so that he could come and easily do the work and be gone. Steve made an appointment for 3 days later to come do the work, he was to spend the day and was to arrive at 9 a.m.. All construction stopped while we waited for Steve to make his way back. On our appointed day, Steve was running late, arrived late by more than 3 1/2 hours at 12:50p.m., did not call, but did email. He arrived empty handed and came to "look at what the job needed". He had no supplies to do the job. He was on the phone constantly with his "partner" about some lady that had just had her breaker box upgraded and her washer and dryer were not working. He argued that it was not his fault and that she would have to pay additional for him to come out. Very unprofessional, made me a little leery of dealing with him. My contractor stopped by to see how things were going and noticed that things were not going... he offered to pick up any supplies that Steve might need to expedite things. So, my contractor ran out to get the supplies that Steve needed to do the job, of course, this is on my dime. Steve took the opportunity to go back and repair the ladies breaker box, he left at 2:35 p.m.. He did not return until 5:30 p.m., put a few holes in the board on the walls, ran some wires through those holes, put in three boxes, tore out some old wire and told me to call him when the dry wall was up, he would come and finish the job. He also told me to have my contractor tack done some of the wiring, he didn't have supplies to do that. He left at 7:40 p.m. He did not clean up his mess. There were pieces of wire everywhere, dust and pieces of wood and sawdust all over my kitchen. He had used some of the contractors tools and they were just left in the middle of the floor. I called him in about another week, most of the drywall work was completed and the contractor had put on the final 'mudding'. Again, we waited this time 4 days. Steve came out, this time only about 1 1/2 hour late. He started to connect things, received a phone call, was talking about some "government" job that required a permit or they wouldn't get paid... he left my condo went to his van and was gone for about a hour... came back, still on the phone... finished his connecting, I paid him with a check, minus the money for parts and he left before noon. Again, a mess, I cleaned it up and was glad this was the last I would see of him. Next day, my contractor notices that some of the sockets are new and some are old, they are paired together and impossible to match with a cover...some of the plugs have the ground hole on the bottom and some on the top. Steve did not connect the light for the kitchen (which was fine with me). As he looked further, he noticed the wire "pig tail" for the dishwasher was gone....entirely, Steve had removed it from the wall, this was the wire he pulled out. The only connection for the dishwasher was on a switch for the garbage disposal.. I emailed Steve, no response. I called Steve, no response. I emailed him again, no response. I finally emailed him and made clear my intension that he repair this problem or I would have to take further action. This time I received a response. He stated that the dishwasher was not in our contract and he wished more money to repair it. I told him removing the we was not in our contract either, but he did it. He agreed to come out and repair this. He ran a wire from a circuit down the wall and out a hole, no cover place not niceties, just wire, put electrical tape on the bare portions of the wire and warned me it is "hot". This is the last I saw of him. If I could give him a lesser grade than an "F", I would. I do not recommend that anyone use this company/person/business, ever. I think he is unprofessional, uncaring about his work, unsafe and should have his license suspended until he can pay attention to what he is doing and can perform in a safe manner. This guy is dangerous.
Description of Work: Steve was hired to do rewiring on my kitchen remodel. He is a licensed electric with the state. I wanted him to upgrade the electrical circuits. plugs in the kitchen, rewire (move) my 220 to another wall, add some plugs for appliances to a countertop area and wire a new circuit for a refrigerator, evaluate the need for more breakers and wire the lighting for the kitchen.
