Andy and the Epic Building company completed a large home renovation project adding two bathrooms and two bedrooms to our home in Lewis Center. I have worked with multiple contractors, but Epic Building Company has been one of the best, if not the best that I have experience with. They were wonderful to work with and always kept us in the loop with everything that was going on. They also realized that our project wasn’t just a job but our home as well. Andy and Jeff went out of their way to make the renovation process as comfortable as possible while at the same time striving to complete quality work by set deadlines. I highly recommend Andy and Epic Builders to anyone considering a home remodel.

Andy Kolp (EBC owner) worked us through the planning phases with immense patience and careful attention to detail, and the quality of the work that he and his group provided was top-notch. Everyone who worked on the house was considerate of our time and diligent about keeping dust and debris contained, and kept us up to date on the schedule. There were no delays in work, and Andy was easy to communicate with online and in person. We would not hesitate to work with EBC in the future--highly highly recommend!

This job couldn't have gone better. Andy was on time when he came to give me the estimate. He provided me with the information we needed to choose our entry door. I asked him to price three doors with different glass and he did this with no problem. After we selected our door, he promptly provided us with a detailed estimate and start date. He was great about working around our schedule. He showed up as scheduled and started by putting down floor protection so he didn't damage our entry wood floor. Andy removed the old entry and storm door and all interior and exterior trim. He then installed a new entry and storm door and all trim. He did the entire job himself with the exception of staining the inside of the entry door. I am very particular so he had a painter match the new door stain to our existing interior doors. It turned out great. I didn't like the stain on the new interior door trim (he agreed) and he was great about restaining new trim pieces for me. I have existing wood stained doors next to the new door and new trim which made the job more difficult in matching the stain. He was very patient with me. Andy also suggested adding a couple of decorative pieces to the exterior trim to make it look more finished. He was right, it looked much better. He cleaned up all debris and dust from the job. No mess left behind. This is the fourth job Andy has completed for us. He remodeled our kitchen, master bathroom and installed six panel wood doors in our house. He is great at communicating with his customer and if he is going to be even 10 minutes late he calls in advance. You are never left waiting or wondering with him. Any subcontractors he uses are held to the same standards as Andy. They have all been great.

Andy followed our plan to finish our basement and gave us suggestions as to how to make the basement a total livable area. He has trustworthy sub-contractors who did the framing, drywall, trim finishing and electric service. Andy made sure all sub-contractors were on task and completed the work to his specifications. His crew always cleaned up any messes that were made and Andy made sure that everything was according to our wishes. We are new to the area moving from Texas to Ohio. We absolutely knew noone to do all of our work. We placed a Yotel propane heater in our living room and Andy was the person who installed the unit. After discussing our plans on rehabing the kitchen, we also asked if he finished basements. He assured us that he is capable of handling any type of construction from commercial to small home owner projects. Andy gives accurate, written estimates and sticks to his estimate. He is a completely honest man and one who we would recommend for any type of construction you might need. We feel Andy is also a top quality contractor who is fair in his pricing and goes the extra mile in making sure the finished product is done precisely according to the home owners specifications.

Andy was amazing. He subcontracted the tile work and the tiler did an awesome job on the floor. However, the subcontractor proceeded to do a less than adequate job on the wall tiles. Andy brought the problem to our attention--we were out of town on a trip at the time. And then worked with us to fix the tile. His fix included taking some of the tile off the wall and reinstalling it. When Andy was done, the wall tile looked just fine. I had very specific things I wanted in the bathroom and Andy listened and did everything I asked. Then, when he was done I realized I did NOT like the medicine chest over the sink. Andy worked with us without any complaint. He built a beautiful cabinet between the wall studs on the wall behind the bathroom door then he removed the medicine chest. He installed a frame of tile above the sink then hung a mirror. Like I said, Andy did exactly what I asked of him. He listened closely to what I was asking of him to make sure he understood what I wanted. And now we have a beautiful bathroom that looks like it might have been built original with the house.

I am thoroughly satisfied with each project Epic Building Company has performed at my home. I highly recommend this company without any reservation.
