Everything went very well from the initial phone call, to the finished product. Nice family run business. Very professional and friendly staff. The crew showed up on time, and worked all day. I highly recommend this company and will call on them in the future when needed. It's a no brainer.

My sump pump was not draining properly and was pooling around my foundation, with inches of snow on the ground and a big warm up and rain on the way I was concerned about water damage. I called Cruikshank Plumbing about my problem, within hours they sent out Randy. He began to snake the drain and after 1.5 hours of trying he determined the plumbing snake he had was not long enough to reach where he thought the clog was located due to process of elimination. Unable to get the longer snake that day he re routed my sump pump so that it was away from my foundation so the water would not cause further damage. He then made a phone call to ensure the problem would be fixed ASAP. Cruikshank was able to work me in their schedule at 8:00 the next morning. At 8:00 on the dot Troy was at my home with a longer snake and 15 min later he cleared the clog. He then began to re fit my sump pump pipe to the under ground drain. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and professional, especially Randy and Troy. I have some upcoming plumbing work in my basement and I will definitely be calling Cruikshank.

They came on time and kept their schedule. The work was done within the time frame that they promised. The price was very reasonable compared to others.

They were terrific and really good. It's a brand new house I bought, it was practically cardboard that the water had to run through and it is disintegrated and they dogged it up, replaced with that PVC pipe and it actually given me a written guaranteed me as good as new and they promised me it will be fine and it was. They were polite and I'll just recommend them to anybody.

Provider took care of service as needed and performed additional work of connecting to my heater at no charge. Very good service.

Great. Very personable plumber who arrived on time and had all that was needed for the job, on the truck. He worked fast and cleaned up after the job. Also, he applied the coupon from Angie's list for savings, too.

Jan 2013 I had a water pipe burst. Filled 3 levels in my house with inches of water with it "raining" in 3 rooms. I called CruikShank, they came out immediately which was an awesome response time. They replaced the cracked pipe and fittings with a newer copper pipe and fittings. Now, Fast forward to feb 2013. I came home to a familiar rainstorm in my house. I immediately went to the room where the pipe was the culprit and witnessed the new fittings leaking water at a healthy rate. I turned off water main. Called Cruikshank, they came out immediately. When CruikShank arrived, they did some inspecting and fiddling, then asked to have water main turned back on. They leak was almost nonexistence. They said that since they didnt see the leak, it wasn?t there fault, not responsible for the damage, not replace the pipe, charged me for the service call. When I spoke to the owner, I was told to bad, since they "couldn?t" see the leak, They would do nothing. She also told me that they would send another tech out but he would find the same exact results. They tried to blame it on the weather but there was no damage to any of the pipe and I was told to deal with there insurance company because thats why they have insurance. No leaky pipe, no responsibility from CrookShank. Now, I never asked for money, wanted a refund on service charge and my house dried out. Thats it. But was rudely handled, basically told " no leaky pipe, sue me" Now, The most important part, the area in question is roughly a 8x8 attic/storage room right off a bedroom that has the furance and one small pipe for the humidifier. No other source of water. The room had an inch of standing water and three walls were completely saturated. Now, I brought up this point, simple stating common sense, that where did the water come from, I was told I dunno, but the pipe isnt leaking nopw so we are not responsible. I was also told by the tech that there fittings never fail and they are 100%. In short, I was told to pursue legal action Now originally I just want water mitigation or dry out. Since it has past I have water damage, mold and one room that was really drenched was a storage room filled with boxes of seasonal items that are now ruined. I would like a refund of the service call and parts and monetary compensation for all the personal loss which could have been avoided with a reasonable response

Called only an hour before they arrived. Very conscientious he went back several times to check the leak after it was repaired to assure I had no more leakage into the living room ceiling. I also had him repair two faucets that were in need of replacement while he was here. The plumber was very personable and wore protective coverings on his shoes to protect my carpets. he had all the parts needed for the job.

They were great!! They sent Randy and Troy and they came in less then an hour and we had a new tank. I highly recommend them for all your plumbing needs.

They are an awesome company to work with! Our old water heater broke (water poured out the bottom:) on one of the coldest nights in Ohio. The next morning I called several companies to have a new water heater installed. This company was the only one that asked if we currently had hot water (no!) and they were able to send someone out the same day and best of all installed a new water heater by 6 pm that night. They listened when I said we needed a 50gal tank (an upgrade from the 40gal tank we had) and made a separate trip to ensure we were completely happy. We were so thankful to have hot water that night! The kitchen faucet and other leaky faucet were replaced and repaired on another day. But again the job was done very professionally. They called ahead, arrived on time and again made sure we where completely happy with everything. This is one of the most responsive companies I have had the pleasure dealing with jet. Thank you for all your hard work!!

It went really good. It's definitely A all around. It was all weird because there was nothing wrong with my hot water heater other than the fact that it was 15 years old and they're not supposed to last that long so I called them. They wanted to be responsive but I'm the one that pushed them out. He was pretty much here when he said he'd be here and it took him a lot less time than I thought it would take. The price seemed reasonable to me because it was a big tank and it was a chaos.

The plumber was thorough and professional in his advise. I passed the information on to my son in Michigan. He has lost power to his home and does not expect to be reconnected for several days in below-freezing weather. I am very appreciative of this free advise and will call this company in the future for our plumbing needs.

The plumber was polite and courteous. He estimated the cost and was able to make the repairs while there. He estimated the cost to be between $300-$400; the actual charge was $282. It took him 1 hour and 40 minutes to install. There was a trip charge of $55; I was not informed of this charge when I called for service. I don't have a problem with the charge, but I think I should have been informed when I set up the appointment. I regret that I did not inspect the work prior to the plumber leaving. I was shocked by the very unprofessional appearance of the installation. The washer and dryer are located in a bathroom on the first floor of the home, not in the basement. I am very disappointed in the way the laundry box looks; I expected a more "finished" look. I will attempt to post a picture of the work if possible. Update 1/20/14: Cruikshank Plumbing has been very responsive in addressing the issues stated above. They advised that the work that was completed by the assigned plumber was not up to their standards and that they would send out another plumber to install a laundry box with trim to improve the appearance of the work. They did what they said they would do, and the work now looks much better (I would like to include a picture to show the updated work but I do not see an option to do that). There is still some drywall that was removed that left a hole in the wall and the pipes exposed. Deven Cruikshank came out to meet with us to discuss the current situation; he told us they could repair the hole, but he also explained that there might be some issues by closing up access to the inlet pipes and the discharge pipe. We agreed with his assessment, and since the washing machine hid the majority of the hole, we advised that we would accept the work as it stood. I have adjusted the rating based upon this company's excellent customer service and responsiveness to the correct the initial complaint. I would use this company again, and I appreciate their efforts to correct the problem.

I received awesome customer service when I called to make the appointment. We were given a 10% Senior Citizen discount. The service person was on time and friendly. I would use this company again for our plumbing needs.

The plumber showed up on time, looked over the basement, patiently answered my questions and went straight to work. Being a newer homeowner I had a lot of questions which were answered promptly and clearly. The work took about 5.5 hours total. The area was cleaned prior to his leaving and left in good condition. I will use Cruikshank plumbing in the future.

Replaced garbage disposal. Plumber was late, but they called to let us know. He was professional and did a nice job. He told us he had many emergency calls, which explained the late arrival. Explained the price to us, as well; reasonable.

It took some time, but he was finally able to find a leak in our main bath that was coming through our kitchen ceiling. He was very thorough and explained what was going on and what was needed to fix it. Once found, it was repaired quickly. There was a second leak coming from the stack to the basement. This one he said would take more time to find than he had for the day and would call to schedule a time to return. They never called back and someone else did that repair.

I had decided to replace older water heater before it failed and called Cruikshank because of their record on Angies. The lady that handled the phone call was great. She was very knowledgeable and willing to take the time to see that all my questions were answered and she knew what questions to ask me so that she could give me a price. It was several weeks before I called back to arrange for the service. Showed up when promised, removed old tank and installed Rheem 40 gallon tank. Later office called to remind me city would be sending out inspector. Excellent experience and I would definately use them again.

They were very prompt and kept me informed all along. They did what they said they were going to do and had real good customer service.

Cruikshank's were very responsive. Arrived ontime, diagnosed the issue and set up the follow up visit promptly. Their tech, Randy, was courteous and explained the problem, including digital photos, so there was no ambiguity. They replaced the broken backflow and suggested ways to avoid future problems. Very happy with their communication and service.

My old shower fixtures had been calcified to the point that I couldn't pull up the shower tab to turn on the shower. I called Cruikshank to have them come over and inspect it and then perform work if the estimate was acceptable. I was able to get the appointment scheduled for the next week on a day that I was already scheduled to be home. I was given a window of 10 am - 12 pm. Around 9:30 am, I received a call that the plumber was on his way. Mic,arrived by 9:45 and took a look at the situation. He said that replacing the fixtures would be no problem. The tub drain might take a little time because it has become so corroded that the parts used to pull it out had disintegrated. He began work on the fixtures and had them replaced in about an hour. He then had to go out to find the right tool to remove the tub drain. He was gone for about an hour and I was not charged for that hour. When he returned, he was able to replace the drain and square up my shower head without incident. When all was said and done, he was out the door by 1 p.m. and I had a fully functioning shower and a drain that flowed smoothly! I am so pleased with the work done! I will definitely recommend Cruikshank and use them in the future!

I called Cruikshank to make an appointment. Michelle was very clear about pricing, timing, and expectations. I thought she was very pleasant. Randy (the plumber) arrived approximately 15 minutes after Michelle called to let me know they were on their way. I told him the issue and we went to the basement so he could assess the problem. He quickly figured out what had to be done and performed the work. I also want to mention that I had a co-worker use Cruikshank to install a water heater and was extremely satisfied with their work and professionalism. This included cutting pipes and ventilation due to the new water heater being taller than the old one. Based on my experience and my co-worker's, I would definitely use them again if there's a need.

Randy installed new 40 gallon, gas heated, Rheem tank. Because the model was slimmer and taller, Randy had to cut special fittings to attach to water lines correctly. The old water heater was full of sediment at the bottom and made it difficult to remove and pump out the water. With some creativity, he get the water drained and the tank was removed from our basement. We appreciate his expertise and efficiancy. Setting an appointmrnt was easy and the office worked in our install date since we were leaving on vacation. Great job!

He is willing to get down into the crawl space to do the work. He took a picture for me to see. I liked him a lot. I will have him to come back out to fix the leak. He did a whole home plumbing inspection and explained everything thoroughly to me. They gave me a senior discount too!
