Within 3 days of being a first time homeowner, I had a massive flood in the basement that occurred in March of 2020 from a crazy down pour. I was obviously distraught and wasnâ t looking forward to spending an additional excess amount of money after purchasing the home. The home was a rehab home built in 1900 so there was some pretty significant basement issues that were neglected due to the stone foundation. I met with three (3) other companies to get estimates and the first two (2) were all had different opinions, objectives, and of course pricing. The gentleman who came to my house and did the overall estimate was up front, caring, truthful and had multiple suggestions on what to do. The fact they offer financing has saved me tremendously during this difficult time with the COVID19 pandemic. I made the decision to go to C&J within minutes. Several weeks go by and ultimately it was a three (3) day job with two (2) individuals who were some of the hardest working people Iâ ve ever encountered. The end result exceeded my wildest expectations and of course, the day after they finish? It rains and not a single drop got inside. Iâ m so relived that I no longer have to go down to the basement and mop out water. The workers even took the time to do small little things that wasnâ t requested that went a long way (filling certain holes and cracks in the concrete and ultimately leveled out spots that needed it.) I will recommend C&J any day of the week, save your time and research and use this review as a benefiting factor that you want this company for all your basement needs. Five stars is not enough.

Good job, on time and budget.

This company refused to give me a receipt for my records for the installation of a sump pump. I asked them five times and I never received a receipt. I would not recommend this company. Bad business practices.

They told us it would be a 3 day project and it was. They did everything that was on the contract. Nice people

They were fast, clean, and polite. Absolutely would use this company again. They gave me an estimate of the cost before they ever came out so I knew what to expect. None of the other companies offered that.

We rec'd a very thorough verbal evaluation. We discussed possible remedies and their costs and were in agreement with the planned work. I was very confident that we were receiving correct information and a reasonable price. A second opinion confirmed that.

We had 9 I beams installed and the water proofing in one section ( original foundation ). They did a great job and were easy to work with. Basement is dry

We selected C and J Basement Solutions to waterproof our basement based upon their response, explanation of the process and value. They were able to complete our project a couple of weeks before the original scheduled date, which was greatly appreciated. They finished within two days as promised. The employees were hardworking, polite and explained (and showed us) every step in the process. We are very pleased with the work.

I asked C&J to give me a quote on the basement. They called me back promptly, worked with my schedule to set an appointment, called the day before, showed up on time and explained the work needed and why. They didn't try to oversell services and I'm happy I can have them solve the issues quickly.

A slight delay in arrival, but otherwise courteous, efficient. New sump pump is so much quieter, as I requested.

Ron came and assessed our situation and came up with a great solution. When the actual workers came to seal a foundation crack and put in a pencil drain, they were not aware of what Ron had recommended and didn't seem to agree with him. They assessed that we had water in the footers, which disappeared later that day when the city cleaned out the storm sewers. They came back the next day to put in a pencil drain from the footers to the basement drain. They were not careful about keeping debris out of the drain. We did have a small leak the next time it rained and asked them to come back out to see what was going on. Ron returned and recommended they re-do the work; they would schedule someone. After a few days we were called for an appointment. The original person who had done the work had been fired and the person C&J sent, was completely unaware of what work had been done or what he was supposed to do. And he did not have the right equipment to re-do the job. He said he would have them call and schedule a time to come out. They never called. We called multiple times to have someone come and see if things had been done correctly. They scheduled 3 appointments and cancelled 2 at the last minute because they were held up at another job, the 3rd they just didn't show. They said they would call and reschedule but they never did and they never responded to our multiple calls. The work they did caused us to have our washer & dryer moved, so we have not been able to reconnect them for 4 months. We have given up trying to get them to respond. The basement has not leaked but we aren't confident it has been adequately repaired, or that they will honor the 1 year warranty. Our total cost was $2200 which we paid according to the agreement.

Encapsulated our crawl space. They were very neat, knowledgeable, and respectful. It looks and smells clean!

Nate came out to my house, gave me a fair quote and when he found that my existing sump system was working well and I actually had a really great product already in place, he advised me to not replace it. He cleaned out the sump well, check the downspouts outside and gave me another quote for the work that actually needed to be done with drainage. He was honest and answered all questions. Highly recommend!

They did an excellent job and cleaned up each day before leaving. They placed covers down over the floors before starting. We had a different contractor in after they were done and he said he has been in many crawl spaces over the years and that is the best job he has ever seen. I would recommend them to others.
