My snow blower was running incredibly loud and was vibrating excessively. I called Sal during his busiest time, early January, and he was able to pick up my snow blower the same day and return it later in the day. He explained what happened (the throttle was stuck completely open) and was very fair with the pricing. He also tuned it up. When he came back he started it, and went over what he did. It runs incredibility well now. Sal is a nice guy, who is honest and upfront. I will contact him in the future for tuneups for my snow blower and lawn mower and will strongly recommend him to friends and family.

SMS serviced our 5 year old snow blower in dire need of a tune-up and other repairs. Sal pickup our snow blower the day we called. He is knowledgeable about small gas engines and thoroughly explained the maintenence he performs. He called back in a few hours with a quote and was able to deliver our snow blower later that evening. Our snow blower now runs like the day we bought it. We found Sal's prices for maintenence, repair and delivery very reasonable compared to other small engine repair services we have used. We are sending SMS our lawn mower this Spring.

Fantastic service! I called on a Wednesday and my snowblower was picked up Friday and repaired and brought back to me on Saturday. Can't ask for better service than that. Also, Sal came from the Westside to pick up and deliver the snowblower to me on the Eastside. He was very professional and I thank him for such wonderful service.

Perfect. Dropped off my mower Tuesday evening and picked up Wednesday. Called to inform me of the problem and to tell me it was ready to go.

Sal picked up my Cub Cadet rider two days after I contacted him, he fixed a number of things (mice chewed up a bunch of wires, main belt going bad, new blades) and 2 days later he brought it back and it is working great. Nice guy too.

My snowblower wouldn't start so I called SMS. The owner came out and picked up my machine. He brought it back to me the next day running better than ever. Not only did he clean out the gunk that had built up so it would start, he tuned it so that it would run better. The snowblower was loud when I gave it to him, it purrs like a kitten now. Owner went out of his way for pickup and delivery and took his time explaining what was wrong and how he fixed it. Great guy.

I had a very good experience with them. What stood out to me was their speed. It was a good price and they got the work done in like a day. They were really easy to work with. The garage is fine. They did a good job. I was very satisfied with them.

Of course when the first big snow hits my snowblower would not start. I brought the snowblower to him. He went through the snowblower and was able to repair it in less than a day. Picked it up the next day and it has worked better than it did last season.

It was a beautiful sunny saturday morning, my wife was going to be hosting our son's birthday party. However, the grim reality of Murphy's Law quickly slapped us in the face... 90% of the way through mowing the lawn, our precious craftsman lawnmower (from here on out referred to as 'Excalibur') slowed to a halt and failed to start back up again. A week later, I journeyed through dark forests, fierce creatures and a wicked witch to find the one who would save us, Excalibur... and my precious lawn. Our magnificent savior was Sal... of SMS Service. With valiant bravery and the heart of a thousand lions, Sal responded to my need with the urgency of the truest knighthood. Answering every phone call I made during the process, I was never left to wander in the abyss of the unknown. I dropped Excalibur off on the way to work and it was ready on my way home. Sal also offered a well priced tune-up for an additional $50. The demons of my lawn have never been so afraid as they were when Excalibur made his return with blades as sharp as a filet knife. Once proud and cocky, each finger of grass now bows to its infinite strength. Needless to say, my lawn has looked beautiful and mows very easily now. With all fun aside, Sal was terrific. The tune-up was well worth it. It starts on a dime and cuts like a knife. It was also very quick and only cost a cool Benjamin. It was also returned with a much needed cleaning. Great job SAL!!

A Magician of the Mower: Overall SMS Service's quality of work was of the highest standards. There was a part order that took extra time, but beyond that the measure of detail and craftsmanship put into the mower more than made up for it. I would recommend this business to anyone that needs mower repair or servicing.

From the inital call to Sal at SMS, was treated almost like a friend. He was very prompt in setting up appt. to pick my lawn tractor and was more than willing to let me know what procedures he intended to do in order to make sure that tractor was professionally serviced. He was a joy to talk to and he seemed genuinely concerned that both me and my wife be happy with his service. I would rate his business and him in general as excellent.

I contacted Sal on a Monday. He picked up the mower that evening, called the next day with the prognosis, repaired it and returned it to us on Wednesday evening. It had several problems (some of them caused by pesky chipmunks), and he explained all of the repairs that he did and even cleaned it like we've never seen it before. We were very pleased with the price since he basically had to rebuild it. Sal did such a great job that when he returned the mower, we sent another piece of outdoor equipment for repair.

I had a lawn mower that hadn't been used for a few years and even though the gasoline had been run out of the mower at the end of the last season used, the carburetor was all gummed up. Sal was very knowledgable about gasoline powered lawn mowers. He taught me that the quality of today's gasoline can have detrimental effects on mowers/small motor power tools that have seasonal/infrequent use. He went on to say the even if the gas is run out of the motor, the residue remains. Therefore, it is unnecessary to run the gas out. Sal replaced the carburetor and the lawn mower runs great. I look forward to starting it up in the spring, when I won't have to be concerned as to whether or not the mower will start.

Brought generator to SMS on Wednesday and got call that generator was ready the next day. Sal spent a good deal of time on diagnosing the generator and later took his time explaining the workings of the generator to me. The manual did not explain all the necessary steps for initial start up or the need for a battery to maintain fuel flow at startup. This guy is a wealth of knowledge and I enjoyed his taking time with me explaining things. I believe Sal spent more time on this job than he was compensated for. He is determined to get to the bottom of a problem. Used the generator from Friday to Sunday to run sump pump and furnace in relative's house. Thanks Sal.

Sal takes pride in his work which is very hard to find these days. Making his quality workmanship....always a bargin for us.

He gave my mower a complete tune up and sharpened the blades. He explained what he was going to do and gave me the price up front. I dropped it off Tuesday evening and he called me Wednesday afternoon to tell me it was ready. It ran like brand new when he was done with it. I will definitely be going back to him for future repairs.

I have already referred others to SMS Service. Should I need future work on power equipment I will make SMS my first contact. Sal is very knowledgeable and is quality is excellent.
