I've already described the process up until committing to the job. The entire install was scheduled across 2 days, and as the scheduled days approached, I was asked if they could be moved up. I was ok with this, and so they were. There was a bit of scheduling conflict with the hours I was told I needed to be available and what actually happened. This caused me to miss work hours I was expecting to, but I didn't push hard about this because I had a way to make them up. IOW, this may not have been an issue if I had pushed back and asked. But I didn't; I was anxious to get my new floor! The vinyl floor install guys arrived promptly on the first day of the install and got right to work. They cleaned up the work area, removing trim and the toilet from my hallway bathroom. They proceeded to prep the floor. By mid-afternoon they actually had a large section of the hallway covered, and it looked really good. I should explain that this hallway has 4 doorways, 2 on each side, includes a bathroom floor and small basement stair ledge AND a front closet. So there were lots of ins and outs that had to be hand-fitted in a time-consuming fashion. On day #2 the same 2 guys returned, again promptly. They got right to work and started to fit the remaining sections of flooring in. This included one custom extension of vinyl floor into my family room area, to replace a heavily worn and damaged corner of carpeting with flooring. And this had to look nice and natural. They spent a substantial amount of time crafting the metal moldings for the new edges of the carpeting, and fitting the flooring around these. This idea was sort of an experiment; I figured that if it didn't turn out well, I could simply replace the entire carpet in this (large) room and re-carpet over this corner. As it is, the new area looked wonderful and I am extremely happy with how it turned out. I credit the installers and the time they took in this area. In the middle of day #2 the carpet team arrived with the new material. This was a different set of 2 guys. They were courteous and very fast, installing the new carpet in the one (fairly simple) room in 20-30 minutes. Everything looks good and seems to be fine .... I guess I can't quite get as excited about this simple job as I am about my new front hallway! In all I am very pleased. All of the trim and the toilet went back in and on as quickly as it came off. When there was a question, I was asked promptly and they listened and executed per my wishes. The hallway looks great; better than I expected.

Went well. They had a good selection of tile to choose from. They were able to give us a discount on the tiles that we selected.

I met with Barbara at the store. She was willing to work with my tight schedule as I was moving into the new home. Ryan came out during an evening to give me an estimate. We were scheduled to begin. I was then notified that the floor I had chosen was discontinued. Ryan was willing to meet me at work or at home to deliver other samples. Ryan was punctual and professional. I chose a second sample. I was notified the next day that there are typically 2 different pieces in the flooring ( a thinner piece and a wider piece) and the thin pieces were out of order. I agreed to have the flooring all the same size. The flooring was completed during my requested time line, which was before the move. The installers worked quickly and were able to remove the tile before the front door. The installers were more than an hour late one day. However, when I called Ryan he was able to locate them immediately and gave me an adjusted time as to when they would be arriving. After that, they were on time for the rest of the job. When the work was completed, the connecting piece from the bathroom to the hallway was not installed. I called the company and was informed the piece was on backorder for about 3 weeks. When the piece came in, the installer came back during an evening to install it. He also fixed the connector in between the kitchen that had come up and added trim to the kitchen walls. Now the floor is complete and looks wonderful!

Ryan came out on April 5, 2012 and measured the rooms to give us an estimate. He was to call us when he finished the estimate, I ended up having to call him back and he said that he wasn't yet finished with the calculation. He promised it to us on the following Tuesday, but he did call back on Monday with an estimate finally totaling $6,831 with everything we needed being included. In addition to the tile work we wanted the original vinyl flooring removed, not just tiled over. I then asked him did this include the 10% discount on labor and materials (there was a coupon on Angies List for the discount) he seemed surprised by this and I don't think he knew about the coupon. I initially told him we saw Permanent Floors on Angies List when we went to view their products. He then said he would have to check on the coupon and call me back. When he did call back he said that the discount only applied to hardwood flooring. I then said that there was no stipulation on what services were covered by the discount. Also, there was no stipulation that the coupon had to be presented prior to the estimate being given. He said that he had talked to his manager and they would allow us $50 towards the removal of the old flooring and a 5% discount on the labor and materials for the master bath. The cost of the master bath floor was $935. We were to be given a discount of $96.75 and if we were given the 10% discount advertised we would have been given $683.10. This is a large difference. In the meantime I received another estimate from a different contractor for the exact same work. The cost was within $2.00 of Permanent Floors estimate. I felt that Permanent Floors were not honoring what they advertised and wasn't sure what kind of job we would end up with if we stayed with Permanent Floors. We ended up signing with the other contracor and forgetting about Permanent Floors permanently.

They did a good job. They were very professional; the guys know what they’re doing. They were nice guys. It wasn’t cheap but it was a fair price. If you want something decent, you have to pay for it. They were on time and they maintained the schedule that they gave us. It looks really nice. My wife put them through the ringer at the beginning with the initial consultation; they were very cool about it.

They did an exceptional job! They were very meticulous with everything that they did and I was thoroughly pleased with the job they did.

The estimate was done in the evening and Ryan also provided samples of carpet and tile to help make our decision. The quote was fair and the work was scheduled quick and completed in 3 days. The workers were courteous and clean and worked quickly even with children waiting to play on the carpet. I would reccomend them to anyone and use them again.

I found them in the phone book. I called to get an appointment. They came out the next day and were right on time. The estimate took about five minutes. There was no hidden costs. Everything was very simple. Just one square foot price whether I used a stain or not. I did go with a stain due the old pet stains that were in the wood from previous owners. A week later the recompense came out. They were pretty booked up, but were able to squeeze my job in. They were there for 5 hours the first day and 3 hours the second day. I was able to walk on the floors by dinner time.

This company installed my previous carpeting many, many years ago. I selected a carpet from Permanent Floors only to find the style was discontinued. They worked with me to find a comparable selection. On the scheduled date of installation, the installers were very efficient, removing the old carpet and installing the new. The placed the old carpet on the curb for me as well. I was very pleased with their work performance. Carpet looks wonderful and really changes the appearance of the rooms. Sorry I didn't do it sooner.

Everything went well, professional job completed. I rated a B on punctuality because I was scheduled for morning work and forestalled several hours. I wasn't informed of the problem until the day of installation (Monday) when the problem had cropped up on Saturday and I could've been called Saturday or Sunday. That would've allowed me time to adjust my Monday schedule instead of sitting home and waiting.

I went to their show room to pick out material. Then they came out to give me a free estimate. They were willing to work with me on the price. I gave them a deposit. One week later the job was done and I financed the balance with them.

MADE THREE SEPARATE APPOINTMENTS TO HAVE ESTIMATE ON WORK, NOT ONCE DID A REPRESENTATIVE KEEP AN APPOINTMENT. FINALLY, I GAVE UP AND FOUND ANOTHER COMPANY
