I called on Nov. 4th to get an estimate. Within an hour the owner John contacted me and said he would come to look at the roof and give me an estimate around 4:00. He called early afternoon and said he could stop by around 2. When he did arrive he was very courteous and introduced himself. After spending some time evaluating everything he came in to discuss price and what would be done. I had 2 layers of roofing on my house and my chimney was in bad shape. John went over details and showed me what kind of roofing would be installed. The quality and warranty on everything was very good and the price was something I could do. They worked on my roof on Nov. 10th completed it in a day. The result is amazing. The roof looks great and makes my house look brand new. Clean up was very good also. They left my property in good shape without any mess. I have gotten a lot of compliments on my house now ! Thank you John for a job well done. He personally did the chimney for me. I would recommend them with any roofing needs. Thanks to everyone at Barbera. A job well done!

It went great. This is a big house with a lot of sloping corners and a complicated roof, and these guys made it look easy. I did my homework and here was the thing. These guys bid the lowest . My bids came in the range from $21,000 - $35,000 BUT I didn't go with this company because of price alone. They have been in business since 1970 and have an impeccable reputation on Angie's list. The guy that did the bid did not seem intimidated at all. ( some other smaller companies were ) so even if the bid would have been $5,000 higher I still would have recommended we go with this company. The work went as well as anyone could ask. They said they would be done in two days and they were. The curbside value of the house went up much more in my opinion than the $21,000 invested. Well done! As a property manager I wish all projects were as successful as this one .

He called back right away and got the job done when he said he would. He took pictures so we knew what was going on. We were having an additional problem with a leak and he referred us to someone who could help who was equally as responsive, helpful and reasonable priced.

Called for appointment to review a roof leak. Same afternoon John called to set up same day appointment. He arrived, climbed the roof to check things out. After a quick discussion, he did what he needed to fix the leak is the simplest manner. He also checked other areas while on the roof for any other potential leak spots and fixed them. Next step, if needed would be to do a more extensive tear off of the roof section. We collaborated and decided to do a wait and see if any more work would need to be done. I am very pleased with his professionalism, collaboration, and working with me to come up with alternative solutions. The price was very fair to the work done.

John (the owner) was very professional throughout the entire experience. We got quotes from three other A rated companies that we found on Angie's list and John was the only one (without hesitation or request) that took the time to climb up on our roof to inspect it. The others acted like this would be an inconvenience for them and did not get on our roof. We respected this attention to detail and this is one of the reasons that we chose Barbera Home Improvement. He got us on the schedule as soon as we requested it and his crew showed up 45 minutes early and got right to work. There was a small chance of rain the day they came out, but fortunately it held off until they were pretty much done. They worked diligently through the rain to finish and John also got up on the roof to inspect everything before they left. It took just one day for them to complete the roof installation for our 1100 square foot ranch. Clean up was important to us as we have two dogs that run freely in our backyard. John assured us that they would put tarps down to catch most of the debris and then go around with a magnet to pick up any loose nails, etc. He said if we found anything they would come back out and go around again. Our final bill was true to the original quote with a small additional charge for some wood replacements. They take pictures of any damaged wood to show you. We were very pleased with our new roof and it was a pleasure working with John. We would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to family and friends.

I am updating my last review for Barbera Roof Repair. After my last review, John Barbera contacted me directly and offered to come out and quote my roof repairs. He was very professional and helpful. He is very knowledgable about roofs and the necessary repairs. He has made one repair and will be doing the second one soon. I have updated my grade from a C to an A because John contacted me right away and gave me excellent customer service. I am very impressed with his quick response to my initial Angie's list review.

During the last big thunderstorm we had ,the shingles on the roof of my side porch came loose and were hanging there blowing in the wind. I originally had John Barbera do a complete roof teardown 13 years ago and called him to see if he would come out to fix the problem. This was just a small job but I didn't want my husband to get up on a ladder to tackle it. John called me back and said he would be out to look at it sometime that day. My husband and I left for 2 hours and when we came back we could see that the porch shingles had been fixed ! John had come out and taken care of the problem himself..When I called him to ask where he left the bill, he said " no charge, it was a small job." Over the years I have told many people to use John Barbera and his company for all their needs. They are dependable, responsible and honest. I will continue to recommend them highly because no job is too big or too small for them. They are excellent !

Everything went very well, a crew of 6 guys finished the roof in one day. They did a good job cleaning up as well. Supervisor took care of the chimney grouting (badly needed). A sepate crew came out a few days later to do the vinyl venting, and another crew on another day did the gutters. They all did an outstanding job, each in one day. The workmanship was very good and thorough. The owner, gary, was very easy and fair to work with, and very prompt. The crews were very personable and cooperative. The roofing supervisor was very pleasant and cooperative. I would certainly recommend Barbera to others.

John Barbera came immediately to make an inspection on a Friday evening. He gave me a complete explanation of the problem and recommended 2 things to resolve the issue. One was to install an electric ice guard and the second was to replace the valley. I elected to do both. He came with a crew the next morning, Saturday at 7:30. He personally was on site to explain the scope of the work to his crew and came back to follow up and ensure the work was completed to his specifications. They tore off and replaced 300 square feet of shingles and rebuilt the valley. The crews clean up was exceptional. The price was exactly what the estimate was. It's not often you get this exceptional service directly from the owner of the company. He was very professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Thank You!!!! I would absolutely use this company again and recommend them to all my friends and family!

They showed up at 7:30 in the morning with 12 guys. They did a complete tear off of the roof and additionally removed 28 sheets of plywood that had mold on them. Also, they completed the entire insulation on the roof and this portion of the project was done by 7:30 at night the same day. We had another problem with ice damns from the previous owners who didn’t finish the project correctly, so we had all that fixed as well during this time. The roofing project I would definitely give them 5 stars. So, we had this provider come out a 2nd time to replace the siding and gutters due to them doing such a great job on our roof, but the siding job I wouldn’t give it more than 4 stars tops, more like a 3.75 stars. They sent out a crew of 4 guys and came over a period of 4 days and tore down all the aluminum siding and then installed vinyl siding. An area around where the lights mount to the vinyl, none of it was caulked and it exposed everything underneath it. The same is true of an electrical outlet on the back of our house, which is the western side of the house, which takes the heavy brunt of the rain. It’s close to a ½ inch that is exposed. I know they put up a generic Tyvek which is to prevent water damage, but there are gaps that you can see behind the siding. On the 3rd evening they got in the trucks and headed out. The foreman said that he hadn’t finished caulking some of the window frames and that he would take care of it when they would return in the morning of the 4th day. I took him for his word, but I didn’t recognize it until a few months later that he had not caulked around the windows like he stated he would do. Also, I noticed after about a month later that one piece of aluminum around our garage door was cut too long, and appears that it had been pushed in the bottom, nstead of taking it down and re-cutting it to the correct size. In that same 2 feet where the aluminum wraps around the garage they didn’t put any nails in to secure it down so it is all popped up. The owner of the company did come out in person to inspect the roofing and did come out in person prior to the completion of the siding to inspect it and I did speak to him at that time. I contacted the business the following week to report an area that had appeared the siding was not flushed with the front door that it was deeper than the wood frame from the front door. I contacted the owner and he asked me did the siding crew leave you a few sheets of siding for future repairs and I told him nothing was left, which they had to have a truck come out and deliver 2 sheets of siding, and even when they were done they took that away. So we literally were not given any spare siding in case there is future damage that may occur. ( I would definintely use this provider in the future if need be for roofing, but probably not for the gutters or siding)

John Barbera did an outstanding job. He was quick, professional and thorough-even discovering and resolving roofing problems created by our builder. In addition to his thoroughness, we also appreciated his honesty and integrity. He and his crew even cleaned up afterward. I highly recommend Barbera Home Improvements!

I called their office to get an estimate and was told someone would call back. In less than 10 minutes I received a call back From John Barbera and he scheduled an estimate for that very same day. The estimate was very reasonable since I needed 2 layers of old shingles removed. Work was started a week later and the crew was on time. The work was quickly done and the cleanup work was very thorough. My neighbor was amazed that the work was done in one day because she had her roof done a couple of years ago and they took several days to complete the job and we both have the same style of house. Also, there was no playing of a radio blasting away with rock music all day. I was very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them to others.

They met me after work the day after I called, and gave me an estimate - and did the work the next day. They responded faster than any other company I called, and had completed the work before some had returned my call. Very professional, good work. They were also half the price that I had been quoted by another service. I would absolutely use them again!

Everything was great. The company responded quickly to my inquiry, I felt comfortable dealing with the salesperson, and he followed up quickly with a proposal. Furthermore, they completed the job in one day without leaving a mess, and they accommodated my request to use a specific type of shingle.

I cannot express in words how satisfied I was with this company. I left my number through Angies List at 9:30 at night. They called at 8:15 the following morning and were out that day to give us an estimate. My last roof was done by a company who has very good ratings on this list but I would never ever have work done from again. Without us even telling them what problems we had he told us what was wrong. They were very professional In thoroughly explaining the process and materials that they would be using. I was so impressed by their presentation and the brochures of their company that we decided without getting any other estimates that this was the company we wanted to deal with. I got my new roof within a week. They had an entire crew of at least 10 guys, they were at my house at 7:15 am. Complete tear off, new roof, fantastic cleanup and they were gone by 2:00-2:30. I am pleased with every aspect from start to finish. I would highly recommend them. It was quite apparent to me that this company goes out of their way to make. Good name for themselves.

It went very well. The crew had great attitude, very positive and professional people. Did a great job. I was impressed with the clean.

What started off to be a routine tear off / roof replacement, turned out to be almost a complete replacement of the roof plywood which was unexpected. They still got the job done in one day, cleaned up entire yard beautifully, no complaints from workers. No cigarette butts (like sometimes you find after workers have been around). I did not even see anyone smoking. Workers worked hard, took very little breaks. Great job!

They did a great job. They were very professional, efficient and made sure to clean up all debris from the job. They were a wonderful company to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

The roof turned out beautiful. I had no problem at all and I really like them. They were very quick with a good turnaround time. I also had some problems after that with the roof and John came out twice as soon as I called him he came out and handled it. I was really, really pleased with him. I wrote them a letter of appreciation for the work they did. They were polite, efficient and businesslike.

Showed up on time with about 8 workers...had roof torn off in about 2 hours which was amazing. New roof has architectual shingles and looks great. They water sealed my chimney, and installed a chimney cap which I purchased. John Barbera suggested a solar gable fan($400), and it works great , as I was not sure how to vent my attic properly. Other roofing guys wanted to install soffet vents, but John said they wouldn't work because of the insulation between the rafters. The other 2 roofing company's never mentioned that. I knew John was my guy after our first meeting. He was my third and final quote. Had roof installed on Friday. On Monday the 3 gutters guys came...installed my gutters in about 2 hours...they look clean...those roofers worked for 10 hours and busted they're butts...only took one 1/2 hour break...that is hard work and I give those guys respect...very good job all around and I got a free 7" tablet when I paid my bill...

I shared with the receptionist that I found them on Angie's list and also, that they had recently put a new roof on my daughter's house. The receptionist was apologetic and not rude when she shared they were too busy to come out for an estimate. I felt that this company really did not care enough to take on a small job, that they really were only about making big money. I stated that I would never contact them again. I would not recommend them to anyone either.

It went perfectly. The workmanship was great, and it was everything we wanted and more.

Guys arrived on time, prepared surfaces with wood/tarps to prevent damage. Roof was completed ahead of the schedule we were told by about 1.5 hours. Guys did a great job especially making sure the yard/property was cleaned up including using a magnet to check for nails. New downspouts are great and make a noticeable difference already. Roof look great. Great crew/service/owner. Would definitely recommend this company for your roofing needs!
