John called to let us know approximately when the work would be done. He gave us one day notice that the materials would be delivered on a Friday and the work would be done on Saturday. Two workers showed up Saturday morning around 8:30AM and completed the job by late afternoon. The workers were polite, courteous and friendly. The property around the garage was completely cleared of any debris; they even swept the inside of the garage clean. All debris was hauled away. I found John's company on Angie's List but I neglected to mention that to him. After the job was finished I received the bill and remembered I had seen a coupon online in one of the monthly newsletters. I called John and asked if he would give me the discount; although the coupon was for whole house roofing and I only had a garage done, John offered me a $50 discount so I was thrilled! We are very satisfied with the work and the friendliness of all personnel.

Good, 2 walls were interior drilled to spare the stained siding. Clean up good. Head foreman very considerate and careful.

After removing roof, all the plywood needed replace from dry rot and the front over hang needed jacked up to level and some of the framing needed repaired from the original construction. This was all extra but John explained the possibility up front and did what was required to make things right. He runs a professional crew and was their working with the crew. Over all a very nice job. The price was more than I expected with the replacement of all the plywood but it was needed.

They were great workers. They took the lights and house numbers down and put them back up once they were finished. They were a great company to work with. We will use them again.

John returned my call promptly and set an appointment. He came out on schedule. He explained the product choices and the work process clearly. He has an excellent portfolio about his company. He gave me a time frame of one to three weeks and met that time frame. The roof work was completed in one day and the workers did a thorough clean up. Everything looks OK. The gutters were installed the next day and everything appears OK. I was satisfied with the work performed and the roof and gutters look great. The only problem noted was several truck oil stains in my new driveway.

The house looks completely different and I am very very pleased with the job.

Well, the company said they were going to come to my home and send me an estimate in the mail. After two weeks, when I didn't receive the estimate, I called to ask for a status of the job. Someone returned my call to let me know that they didn't think they were the right company for the job and they were not going to be very competitive with their bid.

The work was done in timely fashion. The work was done in one day. The work was very professional. The clean up was excellent. He climbed into the crawl space to look at the wood under the roof. He was very honest about the amount of wood need to replace the roof.

The job was done by experts. From John's first visit with us to the scheduling, actual work and cleanup, we were very pleased. John made helpful recommendations, explained everything very clearly and the work done was excellent. The installers were anxious to please.

In a hurry to get the house re-roofed as it was on the market already and the work was meant to enhance the marketability. I got four estimates. John Barbera was the quickest to respond, gave me a very professional booklet that included all of the company certificate of insurance, Worker's comp certificate, professional roofing qualifications, four pages of referrals (which included the type and color of the various shingle syles so you can drive around and see how they look, and a FAQ page to tell you what to expect. Phone calls were always answered promptly. To get the job done in one day (weather was iffy) John personally can to organize a large crew along with the job supervisor. When the rotted wood was uncovered on the flat roof he made sure that I saw what the problem was before replacing it and told me the additional cost up front. Great job putting tarps al over and clean up, including a metal detector and hosing down the porch and drive. Lien waiver given on payment.

The company provided exceptionally prompt, efficient and effective service. We called the company at 8:00am, they arrived at 11:00am, and completed the work by 12:30. The backup of ice was removed by chipping and melting using a calcium chloride mixture.

Very good experience. He responded to my phone message the next day and came out to the house to get on the roof that same day. He told me what he thought was wrong and the most inexpensive way to fix it. If it doesn't work then a more extensive roofing job will be necessary. I felt he was fair and honest and trustworthy. Very professional. This time I won't repair and paint the inside until it rains several more times.

John was polite and knowledgeable. Arrived when he said he would. Job was completed as promise. The clean up was good. I would recommend them.

John was very responsive from the beginning and helped me locate the shingles I wanted to use. Although delayed by weather they were prompt and did a good job. The clean up could have been more thorough.

I had an appointment for an estimate, that had to be canceled last minute due to an emergency. That was fine, but no attempt was made on his part to reschedule. I finally called to ask about it over a week later and was told he has a 4 week backlog and probably can't get to my roof before winter anyway. I appreciate the honesty, because I have a leak and need to get the work done as soon as possible, but I was frustrated by the lack of communication following the canceled appointment.

Mr. Barbera answered our request for an estimate in a timely fashion. He came to the home in the timeframe scheduled, which was not something we had experienced with other companies. He showed us our options, not pointing us to the most expensive choices first. We gave him 4 days over the course of the following 4 weeks when we could be available for the roof installation, and he scheduled us for one of those days. The crew arrived on time and there seemed to be enough people to get the roof done in one day, as promised. The gutters were installed on the next business day. All the work was done to our complete satisfaction. We had very heavy rains immediately after the roof installation. There were no leaks, and no gutter problems. Clean-up was complete.

Of three Angie's list award contractors that quoted, they seemed most straight forward and they were the cheapest. Conventional wisdom is to not go with the cheapest, but it worked out wonderfully. Only curve ball was learning on the day of the work that the gutters would be installed 1-2 days later.

John Barbera came to inspect the job and give and estimate. He was very pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. Estimate was lower than others. His crew came and completed the job in one day. It appears to be a very good job. The clean-up was thorough. I was very satisfied.

The weather was not good when I originally called, but the first chance they had, they came out to do the work. There was no mess left over, and the gutter looks really sharp. The section they replaced was not where I told him it was because I had moved it and forgot to tell them, but they found it and took it away.

They were very nice. They were 20 minutes early, and they knew what they were doing.

Excellent! Highly recommend. Very efficient, professional, honest, did not exceed quote. Excellent clean up of premises. All was performed on a very hot day in full sunshine, but they worked very well. OK.

They came right away to do a temporary repair that held us til the weather improved enough to fix the roof. They were wonderful, professional, neat and reliable.

Our experience with Barbera Home Improvements was fantastic. They came out and removed and replaced our roof in one day. I walked around the house when they left and couldn't find any signs of them being there. Great job cleaning up!

VERY FAST. ROOF LEAKED AT FLASHING, BUT WAS REPAIRED QUICKLY.

JOHN BARBERA PROVIDED THE ESTIMATE. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. WHEN I CALLED A MONTH LATER, THEY SCHEDULED A WORK DATE JUST A FEW DAYS AWAY. THEY ARRIVED WITH A LARGE WORK CREW THAT NEVER SEEMED TO SLOW DOWN. JOHN INTRODUCED ME TO THE FOREMAN WHO QUICKLY DEALT WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS DURING THE DAY. THE ROOF WAS DONE BY 3:00 PM THE SAME DAY. THE GUTTERS WERE DONE A WEEK LATER BY ANOTHER CREW. ALL WORK WAS DONE WELL, AND THE CLEANUP WAS VERY THOROUGH. AFTER SEEING THEM WORK, MY FATHER-IN-LAW HAD BARBERA DO HIS ROOF AS WELL.
