I was told my job was too small and they don't have time and wouldn't have time until after the first of the year.

We were impressed by how prompt John Barbera was with getting to us to give us the estimate. He was very professional and knowledgeable. The job went very well. The roof was totally replaced in one day, and the gutters the next. The team arrived early and worked all day in 80+ heat. They completed the work around 6pm and cleaned up well. We are very pleased with the roof.

It went great. They were there a week or so after we signed the contract. They came at 8 in the morning when they said they would, and did it in one day. I would do business with him again.

John Barbera returned my call very promptly and showed up to give us the estimate on time. He explained in detail what needed to be done, which we appreciated. The job was completed by his employees. They were careful and replaced the coil on the roof in the gutter to prevent ice. They cleaned up well and we were very pleased with the job they did.

John was excellent! I would recommend him to anyone! In one day they tore off and replaced 19 sq. ft. of roof on my house. He guaranteed his work and have had no leaks since! Very professional. Cleaned up and picked up all of the scrap and using large magnets to pick up the nails. Never found any nails at all. He stripped off 2 layers of roof and all of that was included in the price.

Does not do flat roofs. Did not have them come out for an estimate.

John Barbera came out on Monday, Labor Day to give us an estimate. The work was performed eleven days later. The leak appears to be stopped. No leakage after the recent heavy rain storms.

I was very appreciative that they were listed on Angie's List. They did a good job. They did come on time. They were easy to work with and very polite. You could tell they were experienced working together. They did clean up after themselves. He did suggest that we put in a new fan but did not install it or do the electrical work so we had to go and get someone else to do the job. He did tell us upfront about the fan. And i would still recommend them to anyone.

My roof had been leaking so I got 3 estimates to put on a new roof. The first estimate was extremely high ($9,950) and the last estimate was very low ($4,500), but the last roofer was an independent and I was afraid that I would have no recourse if the quality wasn't what I wanted. The bid from Barbera Home Improvement was $6,700, with the boards being extra. I went with Barbera Home Improvement because John Barbera was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. I felt very confident that he would do a good job. Since my roof was leaking John scheduled my job within just a few days. I couldn't have been more thankful! He sent me to several homes to see the work they had done and to help me pick out my shingles. John's entire crew was tremendous. The clean-up was very well done. The yard was completely clean when they left.

Due to a summer storm I discovered that I had a serious roof leak. Water came pouring in between the outside wall and the inside wall and was coming out in the basement behind my breaker box. John was able to come out the next day and he said he could repair the roof leak immediately. Other sources I had contacted were so booked up they could not even get to my house for several days. I was very surprised and pleased that he offered to do this on the spot. The following day, John's crew took out an old noisy roof fan and replaced it with a ridge venting system. They also put in a vent for my bathroom fan. John and his workers were very professional and polite. They did a nice job on my roof and I would definitely recommend them to other Angie's List clients.

I called him about 10 o' clock in the morning and at about 3 in the afternoon one of his workers came out and fixed the problem and checked the whole house and made sure there wasn't any problems. It was a cold wet and rainy day.

By him being honest and not tearing out anything that was usable, it cut down the cost of the roofing on the garage. He had his crew out in the morning and they arrived ten minutes after I did. They were right on time.

John was very prompt and thorough when he came out to give use the quote. The company was very easy to work with. We had some delays before the roof was installed but that was to be expected because of the rainy weather and delay on receiving the shingles. Once the crew got here they were very efficient. One guy had to leave during the day, but the rest of them stayed until 9:00 at night to get the roof completed and the yard and driveway cleaned up. The next day, an additional worker stopped out to complete the cap on the ridge vent because they were missing materials the day they did the roof. He answered all my questions and didn't even mind going back up on the roof to get a piece of trash I noticed. Overall a very good experience with everyone involved with the company. The roof looks fantastic!

I developed several leaks in my roof over the winter and decided it was time for a new roof. I called Barbera Home Improvement and left a message. Later that evening John called me and schedule a time to come out for a free estimate promptly. He arrived on time and listed to the problem I was having. After examining the roof, he wrote up the estimate for the work and then gave me a thorough explanation of everything he was doing. His price was very competitive. I signed the contract and in a couple of weeks they started. It may have been sooner but he thought I wanted to wait a couple weeks before he started. The crew arrived promptly at 8:00 am. I spoke with the crew lead and verified the contract with them. They missed the upgrade of the felt paper and quickly resolved the issue. Work started immediately and by 6:00 pm they were done with the entire thing. A few days later I received the bill in the mail and I sent them payment. My only complaint was they missed some debris during the clean up that would have been caught with a final walk around the promptly. For example, a tube of caulk and some large (4in x 4in) pieces for roofing paper.

Roof was done in one day, and the gutters took another half day, as quoted. They used tarps to protect foundation plantings and the clean up was good. However, the growth on many flowering bulbs was destroyed. They also took down an old TV antenna at my request, and removed and replaced a satellite antenna as necessary for the roofing job (service restored without problems).

John came out and gave me an estimate and also explained that the roof had structural problems (rotting) as well. He offered to do the entire job and I agreed. I signed the contract and the roof and structural work was done in a single day in the middle of winter. It has been 2 months now and everything looks great and no more leaks! My final cost was about $400 higher than the original estimate, which was to cover the additional cost of replacement wood and labor to fix the rotting wood roof and structure.

One of the things that we were very pleased about was not only were they very meticulous in terms of their work but we decided to replace our entrance and garage door. We initially weren't going to do this until we saw the work they were doing. They had to hold off doing the trim on the front door and we're a little far out for them. They did come out to redo the trim and charged us such a nominal fee that it was like an added bonus for us. This wasn't their fault but ours since we changed our mind in the middle of the work. We would absolutely use them again.

We were very happy with them. Overall, they did a good job. They also were very competitive price wise. They did a very good job explaining why they felt that type of insulation was good for our home. We would defiantly use them again.

They did the job all in one day and I recommended him to other people as well. We found him on Angie's List. He was prompt and did great a great job.

He knew what he was doing. He was punctual and it was all done in a professional manner. He solved the leak.

Dave at Barbera was very helpful at recommending the best material selection, and clearly expert at designing the project. The quote was very competitive and the quality of work excellent. I am extremely pleased with the end result. We had a few communications problems in getting the work scheduled, and again in getting final completion because the correct caulk material was back-orderd. Nevertheless, I would give Barbera a strong recommendation for this type of siding project and would give repeat business if the need arises.

Very well, the discoloration has not reappeared so we hope the caulking solved the problem.

Great job. One day service. Brought a crew of about 10 guys. Good service. Good price. We did have some scheduling issues but mostly caused by weather but on at least one occasion they canceled when it was a perfect day.
