From our initial contact with Barbera (Mike Drockton) through the entire process of roof, soffit and ventilation the process was smooth as silk. Our home is a 3000 square foot L shaped ranch with roof three valleys and three double chimneys. The previous roofer took over a week to do the job. Barbera did the entire job in a day including installing two new vent vans and connecting three bath and kitchen vent fans per code. Their crew also performed a thorough clean up of all nails and debris. I will state that we are VERY SATISFIED and will strongly recommend Barbera to friends and family. We also send a special thanks to Mike Drockton, Juan and Pablo and the entire hard working professional crew. I have not met the owner of BHI but will say to him " you have and outstanding, hard working crew" who were professional, pleasant and courteous on our job. Thank you!

Barbera was very responsive to my inquiries. The salesman, Dan, was upfront and honest with us, he did not use high-pressure sales, and he answered all of our questions. Not to mention he was very friendly and personable. When the crew came out to install our roof, they were respectful of my comings and goings, and they were very hard working. They had the entire roof torn off and replaced in less than 8 hours. They did a quality job, and we have received many compliments on our new roof. I was uneasy going through this process, because I've never had to get a new roof before, but Dan and the crew at Barbera helped me feel confident that I made the right choice by choosing them. When cutting the ventilation openings in the soffits, the workers noted that the company that had put baffles in the attic did not do them correctly. To shorten the long story, John Barbera went above and beyond to help ensure the work would be done right. He had to come to a meeting at my home with the other installer and an architect - and charged nothing for this. I know I can call or e-mail him at any time, and he will respond. That means everything. John is passionate about his work, is willing to explain things, listens to/values new ideas (architect), and I trust him totally. His workers are well-trained. NOTE: Cost shown below reflects all 3 jobs combined.

John and all of his crews (each facet of the work was done by a crew that specialized) were prompt, courteous and highly professional. Outstanding work at a price well below the other quotes we got. The job went absolutely flawlessly. The crew started at 8:00am, and were finished, including clean-up, by 3:00pm. The gutter cover installers arrived about an hour later, and that job was finished in about 45 minutes. The job was done in April of this year, and as of September 6, 2016, everything is holding up well. We are very satisfied with everything about this job!

Excellent. Will definitely do this again. Ron the salesman was responsive and a great communicator. The crew was professional and hardworking, and fast! I had a slate tear off, and I was concerned about the yard cleanup afterwards with all of the slate debris and the nails. The yard looked better when these guys left then when they showed up. I am areal estate investor, and I am constantly on the lookout for service providers who communicate well, who follow through and do good work, and who are appropriately priced. These guys blow away the competition for roofing.

What a professional company. I couldn't be happier. Our salesman Mike Drockton was great to work with from quote to completion. When I was ready for the install, 3 days later it was done. I can't believe it. This house is very large with 12 sides. The roofing foreman pointed out some problems and fixed it. Call these guys. You won't regret it. Great Price. Increased Home Value. John came and gave us an estimate on fixing some minor roof leaks. He ended up being able to make the repairs the same day. Later I realized I needed some siding work done as well. Realized this group also did that work. Had them repair a few pieces of siding and cover up some craked/deystroyed corners. Work looks great and done in a very timely fashion. Very happy with the overall experience.

An awesome experience! Our sales rep, Ron Wolfe, was great. He made an excellent presentation and did not pressure us at all. Their quote was almost $2000 less than the five other quotes we got. The decision to go with Barbera was a no-brainer. The crew arrived the following Monday morning around 8:00 am. They spent several hours tearing off the two layers of shingles I had on the roof. They also replaced eight sheets of plywood on the roof due, of which they showed me the old pieces that were being replaced. They took out the side vents along the roof and replaced them with the peak vents. Oh, and they also installed 20 soft vents! The other quotes I got did not even include that. Ron stopped by several times during the day to check up and make sure everything was going well, and answered any questions I had. The crew worked magnificently and were very professional. They cleaned up afterwards and you could never tell that they were even there. I have yet to find a loose nail along the house. They were done by 4:00 pm. I highly recommend Barbera Home Improvement! The process to request a quote went very well. Mike was responsive and professional. Although he was out of town when I left a message requesting a quote, he still made time to call me back. I did not select Barbera Home Improvement to replace my gutters but it had nothing to do with the sales rep, or the quote, or the company as a whole. I had quotes from two companies that were both professional and provided great customer service. The quotes were within a few dollars of each other and both companies had very positive reviews on Angie's List. Since the two companies were so close in terms of service and quotes, I went with the first company that called me back. That was the only reason I did not select Barbera Home Improvement. If I need to do other work that Barbera provides, I would definitely contact them again.

Outstanding! We are ecstatic with the work that BHI did on our roof. The salesman explained everything thoroughly and was very professional. He answered all our questions and made sure that our options were chosen carefully. The crew arrived on time, and finished the entire job in one day. The foreman kept us up to date on progress and clearly explained the need for new roof boarding. Clean up was immaculate. We couldn't be happier.

There were three different crews, one for each job: roof, soffits and gutters. All of the crews were top notch. They were quick and clean and did great work. John Barbera came for the estimate and signing the contract. I spoke with him also several times with questions before and during the work and he is a true professional and he uses only premium materials for his work. I shopped price for this work but above price I shopped integrity and found it all with Barbera Home Improvement.

They showed up and got right to work. I told them I had some other estimates and was concerned about what other roofers told me. My roof is 13 years old, so it really shouldn't need replacing. I had some shingles blow off in a storm. When they first came out to do the estimate Mike was her almost an hour. He was up on my roof walking around. Today when they came to fix it, I told the owner about some other comments that were made. He said I'll inspect. He said don't need a new roof, but fixed areas where nails are popping up. He said I'm good for at least 5 more years. Thank you... I will see you when I need a new roof. Truly honest people!

I would not recommend this company. The price that was given was a rip off. I did not give consent for them to come out and they still came out when I wasn't home and went on my roof. They were very rude after I spoke to them a second time.

John Barbera, Worked on Sunday, show up right on time, worked neatly, condo C board is very happy with his work and will use again when needed. Finished cost was the same as estimate.

It went well. John Barbera would call the day before the guys came out to be sure it was a good day for us. Ted the salesman was very nice. Went over everything with us. The old roof was torn off, and new boards had to be replaced in some spots, then the new roofing. 1 day of work. The siding was put on in 3 days. The guys were all polite and professional. The house looks fantastic. The next day the gutter guys came and had the gutters installed in an hour and a half. They also were polite and professional, and the gutters look great too. If we ever needed their services again, I would not hesitate to call them.

We got estimates from 4 roofers and chose Barbera. The other companies also had fine reputations: Barbera quoted us the lowest price and uses Atlas Pristine Lifetime Algae shingles (guaranteed not to streak with algae). They provided an informative sheet explaining the science of the shingles and the warranty. Roofing crew arrived on time; did quality work; were polite; cleaned up at the end.

It was okay, I would not refer. I feel we were taken advantage of. They came at me with an extra 2,000 dollars worth of work. They said they had to replace 35 boards and there was no way they replaced 35 boards but I wasn't at home and my husband had had hip surgery so he couldn't get outside to see it and we got the bill afterwards. I wouldn't do business with them. We didn't end amicably, him and I. I was pretty upset over it and yet I even got him a job right next door.

Don't waste your time calling this contractor. I called to set up service for a repair and was told they arent scheduling repairs right now and I should call back Ina few months. They should not list they do repairs because they don't.

I called Barbera on 10/1/2015 and asked if someone could come and give me an estimate to repair some soffit that had fallen from my home. The next morning I received a phone call from John asking me if it would be okay if he stopped by that afternoon. I told him that would be fine. John knocked on my door at 4:30 and told me it would be $200 and he could start the job immediately. An hour later he was done, and he did a great job. I've used Barbera a couple of times in the past, and wouldn't hesitate to us them again in the future. I would strongly recommend Barbera Home Improvement to anyone.

Had a leak in the garage ceiling where the garage meets the house wall. Wasn't sure if it was the roof leaking or something else. John came out and checked over the roof. He then cut a hole in the ceiling, where the drywall was wet, and discovered the bathroom exhaust fan hose was leaking. Also installed a cap on the soil stack over the garage.

It started with the estimate - John came out and gave us a rundown of what they recommended, then was available in the evening to answer more questions we had. The crew showed up right on time and boy were these guys ready to work. Very professional, they explained what they were doing, gave us updates during the day and cleaned up all materials once finished. They even moved stuff from my back patio and porch so it didn't get hit by falling debris. I would recommend this company to anyone.

One word: Awesome!! The water heater vent leaked when it rained, and they came out to inspect the vent pipe.I sent them an email because I did not know if I needed a plumber or a roofer. They responded quickly with a phone call, came out that morning to inspect the pipe. 45 minutes later the job was complete. Great service, very professional, and reasonably priced. To top it off he gave me a few tips to help our roof last longer.
