I had a leak coming from my vent stack so I called John. He was prompt and evaluated my roof. Both vents needed done and caulk to chimney flashing and evening out some shingles that were sticking up. My roof is about 23 years old so it is in the last stages of life. John gave me an approximate estimate so I know where I stand for the future. John was very helpful and informative. I would trust him 100% to replace my roof in the future.

Instead of getting 3 roofing estimate, I got 8, and I'm happy I did . Barbera Home Improvement was my 7th roofing company to give me a bid. John came to my home and gave me a price and said he stands behind his workmanship. John wasn't pushy like the other roofing contractors I had interviewed. He answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable with him, his insurance was up to date. BBB has a good rating on the company. The secretary gave me all the paper work that I asked for, she was nice and friendly. The roofing crew was outstanding, they knew what they were doing, the workers did an awesome job on my roof, the supervisor in charge was excellent, the crew cleaned up immaculate. THANK YOU ALL!!!

I have recently used John (BARBERA ROOFING) on 13th. July, 2013-13th. May, 2014 and again on the 25th. May 2014. After the major storm that we had in early May 2014, I had John come out to give me a quote (one of six from different vendors) with regards to siding a brick/wood garage. The garage was built in sections of brick and wood to accentuate each material. There where no straight runs of wood, so there were a lot of intricate corners and angles along with the trim. I really thought that i was going to have to hire an experienced carpenter to replace all the wood to keep the angles and corners in tact. After conversations with ALL the other contractor's, John once again assured me that he had the knowledge and skills/ability to exactly match the existing work with siding. After his previous successful/outstanding work on both my house and my mother's, and his estimated dollar cost (which was well within the other five vendors), I agreed to have him do the work. It took his crew two full days to do the job because of it's uniqueness. After all the materials were delivered on the first day. John stopped out to talk to the crew and review everything. He noticed that a roll of aluminum trim was missing and that evening Greg was knocking on the door to personally deliver it. To my amazement, the job was insulated, sided, trimmed out, and sealed. All the area's of concern (angles/corners) were done to the specifications of the previous wood. I was truly amazed and proud to the transformation. Later that evening, John and Greg showed up to take away all the debris which included all the wood trim/nails that was replaced. Having the two dogs, John and Greg went through the yard and checked for any cut debris that might have been missed. Over the weekend I had neighbors from the surrounding area stop over to see the transformation. All complimented me on their ability to merge the siding with the brick and trim them together. Once again the BARBERA ground sign is proudly displayed in my front yard, and at professional/personal interactions I highly recommend Barbera's work. I am known for being a consumer who does extensive research and pricing before I start any project which involves hiring outside contractors. Thanks John......Mr. B.

Very fast, finished in one day. Went with pristine pewter shingles, looks great still a year later! New gutters also working well and holding. Did find some debris around the house after (nails, shingle pieces, etc.), but I imagine its hard to find it all. Nothing to be concerned about. Overall very happy with service.

We rec'd prompt service, including estimate and actual service time. The salesman and workers were polite, on-time, and true to their word as to completion time. The promise to comb the perimeter of the buildings for nails was kept amazingly. I have had a roof put on previously, finding shingle nails for months. I did not find one nail in the yard or drive. All the trash was carted away to our satisfaction. I would recommend this company to everyone.

Barbera had replaced roofs for a few family members so he was my first call to come look at my roof after I noticed water damage on my ceiling following rains. John arranged to stop by early on a Saturday morning to take a look at it and came up with a simple solution. The water was most likely coming in from cracked caulk around a second floor window, not faulty flashing or roof damage as I had suspected. He recaulked the window and was done in less than 15 minutes. Best of all, he said for small jobs he preferred a donation to a local animal shelter he works in lieu of payment. I was so impressed and very satisfied. I also had him give me a quote for gutter guards and will likely use Barbera if I decide to complete the project.

Based on calls to several on Angie's List, I called Barbera Home Improvement. It was requested that I send pictures, which I did, and the job was quoted. They came as promised, removed the old gutter and installed the new, then sent me the bill. No problems.

BHI was very responsive and have great customer service. We contacted them via angies list and they got back to us ASAP. They did a great job on the roof I would recommend them to anyone . John came out gave us a quote was very nice and easy to deal with .

We were extremely pleased with Barbera Home Improvement. From the initial estimate thru the end of the actual work, everyone at Barbera was very helpful and professional. They communicated very well, both before and during, the actual job and addressed all of our concerns. Barbera was flexible in meeting our schedule. They arrived on time, and completed the work on the same day. The work was completed without any unexpected problems or surprises, and within the original estimate. The overall quality of their work was excellent. I was very impressed with the care that they took to protect the landscaping and the areas around the house, and especially with the clean up after the job was complete. A roof tear off is an inherently messy job, but when the work was completed, you would not even know that they had been there. They took care to pick up even the smallest pieces of debris. I would have no issue in recommending Barbera Home Improvement to my family friends or neighbors, and have already done so.

They did a great job! They worked quickly to get the job done and it turned out great. Their service was wonderful.

Called Barbera Home Improvement on 4/28/14. John called back the same day and asked what color were the shingles so he could send someone out. It rained several days, but one of John's worker did show up on 5/1 and replace the roof vent shingles.

I've used Barbera Home Improvement before for gutter installation. Once again John came out to start the work with Gregg. It's a great feeling to see the owner getting his hands involved. They had a unique work area that they had to work around. I have two dog's, one being a 10 month old Blood Hound puppy weighing 110 lbs. It was a true pleasure to see their positive interaction with him since he's in that "puppy mode". I went back to check the progress and I saw John standing back looking at a piece of fascia aluminum that was nailed in. He went and looked from both angles and went up and took it down because he saw a flaw in it surface. Since he was replacing, John angled a piece of aluminum under the shingles to make sure that no water ran under, but directly into the gutter. After last nights storm, I went out and checked the yard and surrounding area. I noticed that the wood portion of the brick garage was going to need painting but certain area's had to have the wood replaced. I immediately went into the house and called Barbera's and asked for John to come out and give me a quot with regards to siding. I am a member of two of Westlake's distinguished organizations and I proudly have a Barbera Home Improvement ground sign firmly planted in my front lawn.

They were exceptional. I have a 3000 sq. ft roof and they had it done in one day which caught the attention of all my neighbors. The cleanup was good they left a little bit around but that would just be nitpicking. The roof looks amazing. They even tore off my sun porch roof and put a rubber roof on. all in the same price. When we were first picking out a color, Ron, the salesman made suggestions that were spot on. The price was the best we were offered with the quality of product and service. We had a 1/3 off coupon from another home improvment company who shall remain nameless and their first price was 23,000 and they thought giving it to me for 16,000 was a good deal. No such shenanagins from Barbara. Ron was quick, honest and no pressure. Even the owner John came out to check on the work during the day. All this speaks volumes for Barbara Roofing.

Saw water leaking into 2nd floor room on Wednesday. Called Ron from Barbera on Wednesday evening; I had talked to him last fall about doing a job for me on another house. Ron said that he would inspect the location the next day. He was at the house by 10 AM and called me immediately with the verdict. We agreed on the price and he said he would be out with the contract within an hour, which he was. He had a crew out that afternoon and they completed the repairs that same day.

We had a couple of other roofers to look at and the other roofers estimated by getting on top of it and by looking at it from the ground what it would cost and gave us all these claims that they might find things inside and price might go up later. Different from that Mr. Barbera who came out to look at the house told us based on looking at it from the ground that we had broken timbers in a few spots and told us where they were and the exact price that it would cost to do the job. And when we got up after he had left, I got up to look at the roof attic and looked that was exactly right; there were broken timbers when he said they would be, but the other roofers we not able to even predict that. They were just thinking, well we never know, you can't tell by looking from the ground. He charged us to the penny what he told us it would be ahead of time.

After leaving messages with several contractors John was the first to respond and was able to meet the same day. He was prompt and gave me a good price, and got the work done at the first thaw of snow.

Crew was prompt and began working soon after arriving. Work was completed in a day due to the large number of workers involved. Clean up was acceptable. I was told that it would be impossible to collect all the nails and staples that came off the roof, and I continue to find a few here and there. Some misunderstanding on the final bill, as the estimate stated minor wood repairs were part of the quote. The final bill including an extra charge for the wood used. After speaking to the owner, he agreed to cancel that charge. Crew was very polite and hardworking. Only drawback was the difficulty in communicating at times. Regular foreman was off due to family emergency. Relief foreman spoke well, but many of the crew did not. Since so much was happening at the same time, and the relief foreman was often occupied with his duties, it limited the ability to provide and receive input as the job progressed. Owner did come out to the site for a brief period to ask how the job was going.

They were perfect and did a wonderful job. I will be calling them this spring for windows.

Came to my home to discuss estimate and everything involved. Answered all my questions. Arrived on day scheduled were supposed to finish same day but because of rain had to finish and clean up next day. No hidden costs. Would recommend and us them again.

They are on Angie?s List. They worked very hard. Their foreman was there and they did a fantastic job. They cleaned up and were very professional. They were easy to deal with and I had them put the shutters on and they did it for free. I am very happy and I would use them again.

They had 10 (or more) workers come out at 8 am and they got the work done in one day! They were phenomenal! They cleaned up very well and I was just very impressed with the whole experience. This was the first time I had used them, and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others.

The job went well. I was contacted promptly by a sales representative once I made the inital contact with the business office. He came to my home the next day to leave an estimate for the project. It was nice that I didn't have to be at home, the estimate was left on my front door. The roofing project was done in two days. My yard looked clear of any roofing debris and the roof looks great. All in all the service was quick and efficient. My only complaint is that I had a coupon found in both a Gold Clipper magazine and in the Value Time envelope that offered 'free' gutters with a complete roof tear off and re-install. When I talked to the sales representative he explained that this was only if gutters were needed, and my gutters looked fine. It would have been nice to get new gutters since I'm not sure how old mine are, at least ten years old. This should have been mentioned somewhere on the coupon...free gutters only if needed.

Both projects, the roof and the siding went very well. These were big jobs and were done in a professional, competent manner.
