A three day project to replace my very old furnace and install central air throughout the house. They had to run 3 lines of new duct work plus one cold air return to the new addition. Put in a 95% efficient furnace that now keeps my entire home at exactly the same temp. Their workers were always on time and provided service above and beyond. Wish I could get this kind of quality work in everything. Because of the cold weather they will have to come back out to finish up the AC.

The repairman showed up on a Saturday morning within an hour after my first call. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly and walked me through the basic function and routine maintenance that needs to be done. I would highly recommend this company.

After being without heat for five days due to a heavily advertised company on TV and Radio not diagnosing or fixing my problem I contacted State Heating and Cooling through Home Advisor. They reached Scott the owner who to my surprise came to my home Sunday (at no charge or obligation) to check my heating situation. It was best do to damage and age of my unit to have it replaced. They quoted both repair and replacement costs. Not only were they knowledgeable and professional but extremely competitive in price. They exceeded my expectations. The installers were so kind, clean, knowledgeable and professional I felt like family members were installing my system. Very Highly Recommend State Heating and Cooling to anyone!

Scott found a problem with one of our furnaces that was a safety concern and also would affect the longevity of that furnace. He was willing to try to fix it, but recommended that we use a chimney sweep instead (which is what we decided to do). He also gave us a discount on the second furnace he serviced on the same trip. Overall, competent and honest.

This service call was supposed to be just to clean the boiler and start it up. Evidently, the company I hired last year did a lousy job. Scott explained what he was doing and why and showed me what wasn't done. I really appreciated this because I had no clue what needed to be done to the boiler to keep it running.

Scott, the company owner, is absolutely awesome. He ranks as one of the best contractors I have ever hired, and I had no prior connection to him or any prior knowledge of this company’s existence before finding him through HomeAdvisor. Not only was he extraordinarily knowledgeable about all of my furnace issues, he was knowledgeable about a wide variety of other subjects as well, which I found to be really impressive and actually made for some fun conversation. He promptly returned my initial inquiry (within minutes); he was punctual in meeting me at my property; he was thorough in his assessments; and he was so generous with a follow-up inquiry that I had relating to furnace meters, volunteering to return to the house to double-check on this— at no charge. In addition to Scott, his employees were excellent in performing the installation of a new furnace. And, his pricing was beyond fair and reasonable. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Scott and State Heating and Air Conditioning to all who are looking for a competent and honest business to address heating and cooling issues.
