+ -1 moreGreat experience. Our home flooded in 2006 and I had been planning since then to take steps to mitigate any future floods. We had a stacked concrete block wall (Versalok) that the strong flood current knocked over. I had scale drawings, topology maps and the site staked out before our first meeting. It only took 3 weeks from first call to beginning work. They arrived onsite with all equipment and a full crew completing the excavation in 1 day even though they had to work close to the house, around a tree, heat pump and aerial wiring. Poured the footers on Day 2. Installed the forms on Days 3 and 4. On Day 5 using a concrete pumper to not tear up the yard further, poured the entire wall. Came back on Day 6 to remove the forms. I love the embossed brick finished of the concrete wall and the solidness of the construction. Not sure I'd like to test it against another flood but I'm confident it will hold up. The wall was back filled by myself using a rented Bobcat creating a new 1,800 square foot patio.
Description of Work: Installed a concrete retaining wall 184 feet long, 5 feet tall around 3 sides of my home. Because we live in a flood area we also built it with frost footers, vertical and horizontal reinforcing bars and made it 10 inches thick instead of the standard 8 inches.
