Absolutely unprofessional. Not trustworthy and poor workmanship. Beware. Most of their good reviews are friends or employees.

Jemm is listed incorrectly under heating and air conditioning. A call to them revealed that they only provide these services to new construction or for a remodel, making them entirely irrelevant to someone seeking normal maintenance.

Jemm Construction and Mark Maltry provide exceptional quality workmanship in all aspects of a project. Mark is a true professional who realizes that specific details of the project are very important. He is totally responsive to every call and email that was sent. The Jemm crew (Justin & Ed) were here every day promptly and cleaned up every day before leaving. I can't say enough about them! Highly recommend and will hire again for future projects. Thanks Jemm and Mark - you are fabulous!

Mark and the team did a first class job and I am really pleased with how it turned out. The project manager was great to work with, was on top of things, did not cut corners, and made sure the job was done right. We would definitely use JEMM again for any future projects.

Can't say enough good things about JEMM. They walked me through every step of the process with courtesy and professionalism, making a big project seem far more manageable. Their workers were friendly and tidy, cleaning up every day before they left. I'm thrilled with the quality of the work and love my new bathroom.

The experience was great from the project management to the quality of work. I most appreciate how they take my vision and make it work; THAT comes from effective communication, expertise, skill and creativity. They are some of the most polite and respectful contractors and sub-contractors that have done any work here. I'm getting ready to start conversations about the next project : )

This was the 3rd project that JEMM did for us. They had done a beautiful living room remodel in January 2015 and a laundry room update in November 2014. We had a screened-in patio on a concrete pad that was old, dirty, & worn. The estimate from one of those patio enclosure places was $1000 higher. We requested new insulated walls with no electrical improvements, windows & sliders to make this attached patio more of a 3 season room. This was an easy project, requiring no digging nor permit from the city. Demolition took approximately 4hours, and framing commenced the same day. Walls were 6" deep, which meant more insulation and wide windowsills. Four windows and two sliders were installed, & finish molding applied. The ceiling was simply re-painted after some scraping. We had them paint for us, which took no time. The exterior was vinyl sided, and the existing outdoor electrical was brought up to code. The entire project took 2 weeks. We always knew when JEMM was coming and what they were doing. We spent more than we wanted but the cost of new construction is not cheap, and we knew JEMM's work would be stellar.

All remodels will have issues but with Jemm construction they went out of there way to resolve any issues. Most of my issues were minor (adding small piece of wood trim to make the space flow better). A larger issue was the paint transition. My house has an open concept and the painter continued where the paint needed to continue the upstairs. At no additional cost, Jemm Construction gave me a choice of them painting this area white (the existing color) or continue with the new color. I have used other contractors in the past and they would have left it as is or charged to paint the additional area. After the cabinets were installed the lighting was close to the cabinets. Without my asking they moved the lighting. They do a job as though it is their own house. I will use Jemm again and highly recommend them for a remodel job.

They are awesome. I still have them come over to do extra things for me when they aren't busy, which they usually are busy. They mainly do construction, but they do bathroom remodeling, etc. They put on a great room, extended my kitchen, moved the utility room onto the first floor, new roofing, new windows (10-12 windows), and all new vinyl siding. They did a new furnace and air conditioner, too. I liked everything about them. I'm a Realtor. I've been looking for someone for about 20 years. I worked with a client who needed to do redo a house. I was surprised by how much they did for my client in a short period. There are a lot of builders I wouldn't give them the time of day. He's very responsive. I could text him at a 11 pm and he'd respond.

This is an ongoing project. I love them! The workers are wonderful. They are prompt. They answer the phones. They return phone calls. They return with estimates in a timely manner. They let you know if they are not going to show up. I would tell a friend to hire them.

They are really good. They keep following up with us everything, checks on what stage I am in and how I am doing as well. They are involved give me a quote to rebuild what the other contractors did again. They sounded reasonable. They were really friendly and helpful. They keep checking about where I am at with regards to the law suit. They are very professional. If I get things straightened out then I would be using them.

Mike Maltry was very professional. His original estimate was way too high, and then worked with me to remove items to see if we could lower price. After first visit, all contacts were by e-mail. Still at top of budget so I am not using. Very impressed with professionalism and responses.

It was very easy to work with them. They provided us with a very competitive quote for the remodel. They helped in the selection of cabinets, counter tops, etc. They started the work on the date agreed to. They were good about cleaning up the job site at the end of each day. They were responsive to questions we had and kept us informed on the progress. We were very pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism they demonstrated. We would use them again for future remodel work.

JEMM was GREAT. Everyone was punctual, courteous, professional and did his job really well. They were here over the course of about three weeks, so we got to know them pretty well. We've hired many contractors over the years and JEMM is absolutely the best.

This was my first remodel experience and it could not have been better. I obtained 3 estimates and they were all set up differently but I went with Jemm Contruction for three reasons, 1) the cost of materials was included in the estimates, 2) the price was reasonable and, 3) I had an instant connection with Mark Maltry who came to give the estimates. Once the work started, there was someone at our home almost every day doing some form of demo or starting the new installation. Mark kept me up to date on who would be coming to perform work and what work would be getting done. Everyone that came into our home from the Jemm Construction employees, tile guys (and we had a lot of tile work), and other people were all very polite, trust worthy and treated our home with respect. Mark was very important in helping me pick out materials from tiles, fixtures, granite, vanities and kitchen cabinetry to make sure all the colors blended. I can't believe how great it all came together and I know that I could not have done it on my own. The contractors were very good about cleaning up each day and Mark is a very detailed person that made sure that our home was left in as clean a condition as possibly with all that was going on each day. We had some add-ons and I assume this to be normal once construction starts and Mark was always willing to help with those items: new ceiling fan in master bedroom, new water line in kitchen, new outlet in kitchen for TV, granite countertop in powder room. I was so happy with the bedroom ceiling fan and waterline in the kitchen as these were things that I had been wanting for so long and didn't know if I could have :) The total remodel took about 4 weeks with some down time at the end waiting for mirrors that I ordered late. I had grown to feel like the employees of Jemm were like family and even though I was ready to get my home back I was going to miss seeing them every day. When I talk about my remodel with family and friends I always recommend Jemm Construction and would use them again in the future. I love my new kitchen but my husband and I both agree that we love our master bath the most with the spa like feel and the tiled shower.

Mark & Josh were very nice explaining what they were doing and why. On time and cleaned up after themselves. My one complaint is that they suggested I go to mentor lumber because they had an account (?) there and could get better prices on the vanity and sink. I felt as though I had to go there when I would have preferred to shop around.I can't comment on the price because honestly I didn't price anyone else. I did have them this year (2012) give me a price on remodeling my tiny kitchen and thought the price was high.

We received bids from three separate contractors, and awarded Jemm the bid because they exhibited professionalism, extensive knowledge in the most areas, the ability to think creatively, honesty in conversations - didn't tell us what we wanted to hear but what we needed to hear, and consistent communication. All three contracts were relatively comparable in price, so our decision was not as much influenced by price as by the key important areas just named. Personality was also crucial - knowing that they were going to be in our house for a few months, that was key. Sharing your house for three months is not a dream, but it went very well - they were very considerate of our needs, and I never felt uncomfortable in my house because of them. We needed some extra help moving things - and they consistently went the extra mile to help us. They were even nice to our dogs. They petted them. Talked to them - and even let them out if we were in a pinch. Jemm helped us make decisions - I'd often ask "If this was your house, what would you do?" I believe they treated our house as if it was their own. Our house looks and feels like a brand new house, and is the way we want it. I look forward to having Jemm work on some other projects in the future, including remodeling the basement and changing a half bath to a full bath. Jemm is the contractor we will use, and one we are recommending to everyone.

Believe it or not, someone came every day - and worked all day, I can't speak highly enough of our experience with JEMM -- and that includes the price, quality of work, and timeliness. Very friendly and professional, too. An amazingly painless experience.
