Regrettably, some Angie's List's Members work schedules prevented Venturella And Sons Plumbing & Heating the ability to schedule and perform the Big Deal Services according to the criteria set forth in The Big Deal offer. The Big Deal stated that all scheduling and work performed had to be during our normal Business Hours, which is also posted on The Big Deal offer for our company when members are choosing to participate in one of our Big Deals. Regrettably, other Angie's List Customers have probably encountered other complications due to Vendor's ability to put stipulations on their Big Deal Criteria page. We heard from Companies who participated in the Big Deals; e.g. Drywall Companies, Electricians, etc., the Big Deal offers did NOT provide specific instructions for the Customer and for the Company Participating in the Big Deal Offers. Example: Our biggest problem was when a Angie's List Customer, who was signing up for a Big Deal, Angie's List did not provide a asterisk box making it mandatory to be filled out with the member's telephone number. The Big Deal sign up sheet should not have let the member continue signing up for the deal without providing a contact telephone number. Venturella And Sons Plumbing & Heating addressed this issue with Angie's List due to the fact many members signed up only using their physical address. Therefore, we did not have a contact number or an email to schedule appointments in a timely fashion, based on sign up date. We were able to email the members Angie's List email; however, people who come home from work do not immediately log on to their Angie's List account. In some cases, The Big Deal had expired by the time we received their information to be contacted. In Closing, I hope that All The Angie's List Customers, will look at our overall Ratings and only having 2 negative ratings, we feel we did very well in spite of the obstacles we had to overcome. NOTE: We did a Big Deal for a customer in Kent, OH, that was a drive time of 1-1/2 hour, one way, 3 hours total, not to mention the work performed time. This occurred due to our Representative accepting the customers money, which he did not review our territory first. We honored that deal and the customer stated she was very happy and wished we serviced her area. That is our Mission Statement: To provide prompt, courteous, and skilled service to All our VALUED Customers and we would like to thank them all.
