Description of Work: They put on my account to call before applying any treatments. I authorized them to begin. They actually called me from my house to be sure it was OK to do the first one because it said to call. I was impressed that they pay attention to this type of details. They also ask me a question before application that might have made a difference, specifically if I had seeded any of the yard.

Description of Work: In April, 2011, I contacted MA Souder to take care of a 10 X 15 problem area of what was determined to be Bermuda grass, in my lawn. After a 9 month period of service, the lawn was no better. I called and Mike Souder and a supervisor ( I believe his name was Claude?) came out to review the problem. He apologized and said when spring came, he would make sure it was taken care of. Spring, 2012 came, I called the office to schedule the service and have Mike call me. Instead, two days later, a regular lawn treatment agent came and started treating the lawn in the regular maintenance plan. I told him I needed to talk to Mike Souder because we had a much bigger problem to solve.. He said he would have him call. From then on, each month, the process was repeated with no return call and I told him I would approve service when Mr. Souder called me. On April 30, 2013, I called and got through to Mike Souder and told him the problem was appoximately 8 times larger and had moved into more areas. He apologized again and said he had been sick. He promised he would be out by the end of the week (May 5) to see what he needed to do to make it right. He never showed. On the 8th, I called again and this time was not put through to him. I left a message with his assistant who promised she would pass along the message that I was still waiting for him to come out. Today is the 20th and I still have not heard from him

 + -1 moreThey do a wonderful job. I get compliments on my yard all the time. If you pay a lump sum upfront they give you a ten percent discount. They are very friendly people. If you call and have a complaint, the boss is on it. He acts as if the customer is always right. It is some of the best customer service I have ever seen.
Description of Work: They come to my house and mow my lawn once a week. They trim and edge as well. They also take care of my lawn by spraying for weeds or bugs.

 + -1 moreI was a customer of Souders lawn care in Grove City prior to being an Angie's List customer. And since I did not use Angie's List as a resource to hire Souders to do my lawn care, this has created an oversight in my submitting a report for this company. Allow me to correct this with a report of this superior lawn care company. The owner of this business Mike Souders is a very knowledgeable and personable individual who will take the time to address your concerns. His 30+ years of experience are evident when you discuss your concerns with him. Two years ago I had Souders kill all the different types of grass that I had growing in my front yard and reseed with an athletic turf by slit seeding. The regrowth was slow at times (due to the weather) but Mike stayed on top of it until I was satisfied with a thick, great looking lawn. I just became aware this year that Souders also does landscaping. I live in the Grove City area and I like the fact that Sounders is a local company and nearby to tend to my needs. But I have referred Souders to friends who live in different parts of Columbus.
Description of Work: Souders provides an annual lawn fertilization for me consisting of 6 treatments throughout the year. They treat my lawn against grubs and aerate in the fall. They also trim my topiaries and spray my trees and bushes for insects.

 + -1 moreThey seemed very flexible. We had ticks that were really bad at the begging of last summer. I called them and they came out to spray specifically for that, without any additional charge. Whenever they came out they marked the property, so I would know they had been there. It was a positive experience using them. The approximate cost that I had was for over the summer period (from April to October), I paid five payments of $52; the aeration cost extra. I would use them again for future service.
Description of Work: They used to take care of our lawn and yard work for us. They fertilized, put down pesticides, aerated, etc. We used them for a total of two years.
