M A Souders Inc

I had trouble with weeds and last year spent over $100 on stuff I bought & spread myself which did absolutely nothing to help my lawn. So this year I tried Angies list and chose M.A. Souders after Roy came out and gave me an estimate. The price was right $51.58 a month. He also suggested I have the lawn aerated in the fall and I am considering it. They have been very nice and let me choose the level of care I wanted. If you can pay it all up front they give a discount. Customer service is excellent. I'm hoping next year I won't need so much because my lawn will be in better shape.

I had another service before and the lawn didn't seem very well. M A Souders are very prompt. They are there when they say they are going to be there. They give me a discount, if I buy the service for the whole season. My lawn is looking better now than it looked for a long time. There are a lot of people in my area who use them. I will encourage others to use them.

I am very pleased with them. Hands down on a scale from 1 to 10, they are a 10. I contract them yearly and I pay them upfront in full. They give me a discount if I do that. That's how confident I am with them that I don't go month to month; I go yearly. They come out monthly and I am not here all the time. They are a family owned business so they are really close and personal. The only bad thing was that they do such a good job that I have to mow my lawn twice.

I have been using their services for a few years. They come out every three months and treat our lawn with disregrard to the current weather conditions. They are always nice when they call back. They do try to sell us products that we do not want. They do try to satisfy their customers.

The lawn looks good. They were a little slow but they did fine. They did what they were supposed to do.

I have used MA Souders for several years. They have done an excellent job at maintaining my lawn and killing weeds. When and if weeds reappear, they will come out and treat they lawn. I also had them reseed my entire from lawn, after grubs killed most of my lawn and I am satisfied with the results. I purchase a lump sum for them to treat my lawn all season, including aeration and grub treatment.

They do a fine job and have helped it out quite a bit. They are very nice and always call before they come.

OVERALL IT WAS OK. THE OUTCOME WAS GOOD, JUST THE EFFORT ON MY PART TO KEEP CONTACT AND WORK THROUGH MANY PEOPLE AT THE COMPANY TO EXPLAIN WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY YARD WAS A LOT. THERE WAS VERY HIGH TURN OVER AT THE COMPANY.

We've never had a lawn service before but since our house was vacant for a couple of years before we bought it the lawn was in horrible condition. We tried to resurrect the grass ourselves with many applications of different products but we were spending a lot of money and getting no results. We called one lawn service companmy that left a flyer pinned to our mailbox, but they weren't rated in Angie's List so I was concerned with using them, particularly when my phone call to them went directly to voice mail without the company's name even being on the recording. I did leave my name and number, and they did call back and they came and gave an estimate, but I was still concerned about not having background information on them. So, I logged into Angie's List and read up on many different companies and we decided to have MA Sounders come talk with us since they seemed to be highly recommended. The fellow that came was easy to talk with and we decided to give them a try. Steadily since the first application in May, our lawn has been improving and I'm finally noticing that it is even nicer than the neighbors! It has surely come a long way. We are very pleased.

We are pretty pleased. We have a contract for a year. They do very good work. Their pricing is really good because I shop around.

When they came for the first treatment, they were on time, clean, courteous and concerned about my needs. Ms. Brittany was outstanding on the phone and the estimate was given much before I had expected. The service was started right away. Mr.Calvin and his staff were very professional. They were great. I had called another company before I found M A Souders Inc from your list, but I have not yet heard from them yet.

What I like was they were very knowledgeable.

I have had lawn service for several years and have been extremely frustrated with the outcome. The first week of March, I had called Scott's for an estimate because I was familiar with them and the man who answered the phone wanted to give me an estimate based on the satellite information he could access. I told him I needed someone to come out because I had particular areas of concern. He was not happy with that and made it apparent. He said he would have someone contact me the week of March 28. I still have not heard from them. With M.A. Souder, from the first phone call, with Brittany, I was impressed and the experience got better from there. I asked for an estimate and that was hand delivered to me two days later. Service was started the following week and Calvin and his assistant (sorry, I did not get his name) came into the studio to ask me if I had any areas of concern. Then they walked the property with me so I could point out things I wanted addressed. They were very careful to make sure these were all done and after a week, my lawn looks better than it has in a long time. I have contracted a 6 treatment series and look forward to continued service.

We had the first treatment on 4/6/2011 and therefore, cannot evaluate the results at this time. We have a very large lawn area and was pleased with the price which included a 10% discount for prepaying the treatments. They were very professional and I am very pleased with them at this point.

I started using them about a year ago when I had health problems & couldn't mow my yard. I kept it up once my health improved because my lawn never looked so good when I took care of it. I pay $25/week for mowing and about $50 (or so) for the weed/fertilizer treatments. I have pretty big flower beds & it was about $200 for them to mulch them last fall. When I had a problem last year with some bugs eating up my plants in my flower beds, they sent out a specialist to figure out what I had. They offered to spray themselves or give me suggestions to get rid of the bugs. They've been great.

Repetitive experiences of poor, unreliable service on upkeep of the grounds. A large landscaping project culminated in an absolute disaster, with (very delayed) planting of inadequate amount of plant material that was too small and of poor quality--much of which needed to be replaced. Mike is notorious for promising and not delivering. The service is as expensive as it is terrible.

We have been very pleased with every aspect of MA Souder. Our lawn was in terrible shape in 2007- brown, thin, weedy. By mid-2008 it was transformed into a beautiful green field. Several of our neighbors also use them (we contacted them on their recommendations). Top notch in every respect.

They handle the lawn fertilization. They treat it for weeds and aerated it. Their price is good. I pay them in advance for the whole year. They come in once every 3 months.They have been taking care of the lawn all year long.

I have a 100 x 75 foot lot including fairly large flower beds, lawn & trees. I haven't been able to take care of them this summer due to health problems. They came out and evaluated the lawn and flower bed weed and bug problems, then suggested a spraying solution for both. They weeded, pruned and mulched my flower beds for $225 and did a beautiful job. They found out that I have japanese beetles that are eating holes in all my flowering shrubs and set up a program for them. I signed up for a lawn spraying program where they come out 6 times a year for about $50/time and spray the lawn with whatever is needed. The great thing about this is that if I find a lot of weeds remaining or coming back after a spraying, I can call them back & them will come back & re-spray for free. This is great if it happens to rain right after they spray. Finally, I signed up for a weekly mowing plan for $35/wk. They've been doing this for just over a month now & my lawn has never looked better.

We contacted M A Souders early this Spring after being dissatisfied with another company's service last year. They were cordial from the start and willing to work with our requests. So far, our lawn looks very nice, and they have been pretty good about calling us the day before treatment as we requested. There was one occasion in which they were running quite a bit behind in the treatment schedule (we had been told they would be out to treat the lawn approximately every 5-6 weeks and we were pushing 7-8 weeks without a treatment), but the company was quite responsive to our call when treatment was overdue, and even gave us a grub treatment at no charge to compensate us. So far we have been pleased with the results.

We called several companies after the wind storm, and this was the first one to call us. They came out, viewed our yard, and provided us with an estimate; the next week, they completed the job, cleaned up beautifully, and offered to submit an estimate for the removal of stumps left by the previous owner. In addition to removing the stumps, I hope to have them do additional work, removing poison ivy vines on the edge of our yard.

They did a great job. We have one of the nicest lawns in the neighborhood.

We are very pleased with the company's performance. They have been very helpful in explaining to us what they are going to do and are very careful to clean up any dry chemicals that might have scattered to our driveway during application. We will continue to use them in 2009.

I used another service that was on Angie's List and was satisfied, but when I saw the results of a neighbor using M A Souders, I had to go that way. The results were dramatically better. They are very responsive and when I called, I talked with Mike personally and he told me what he would do and what else I could do for certain minor issues my yard has. His application man is very good and covers issues he may spot with the yard. If an issue comes up that is covered under the plan, it is taken care of at no charge. They are so good, that 4 of my neighbors switched to them and we tell all the new neighbors moving to the neighborhood that this is the company to go with.

Excellent! I'm very pleased. Their work and suggestions made my home look much better.
