+ -1 moreCould not have gone better. Owner of the company, Tom Chew, does all his own installing and designing. Tom is like the craftsmen of days gone by. He has a real honest work ethic. Charges you for what he does and nothing more. He's willing to work with you on whatever it is you want done. He does a good job of explaining options and leaves the choices up to you. He's amazingly fast, efficient and highly skilled. He respects your premises, is always polite and courteous. You know when you're dealing with Tom that you aren't being sold a bill of goods. I've had a lot of work done on my home since we moved in years ago. I have never been more satisfied with anything I've had done to the home by any other contractor. I will certainly continue to work with Tom for anything that needs to be done in this area in the future. He's done such good work though, that I don't anticipate needing much other than an occasional cleaning. I give him my highest recommendation.

+ -1 moreTom was called on Sunday morning because our furnace igniter had gone bad. He arrived when he said he would with the right part and got our furnace up and running quickly! This is the second time I've had to call him this Winter, and he's been quick at responding and very resonably priced.

+ -1 moreTom called at 5:30 as promised and stopped over. Reset our furnace in 5 minutes and did not charge us. Apologized for us having to wait a few hours for him to get there. It was so refreshing that he was willing and able to help and did what he said. Because it was easy and fast for him, there was no charge. My husband spent time on the phone with the manufacturer, another heating and cooling company, and I called at least three others who were unable to come because of calls.
Description of Work: Westview was referred to us by another reputable heating & cooling company because he was in our area. I called Tom in the morning, he answered his cell phone and told me he would stop after hours. Our Bryant furnace needed to be reset.

Description of Work: Tom is a sincere professional who has a tremendous amount of integrity and TRANSPARENCY (look it up all you commissioned-based "repairmen"). My Goodman A/C (which is almost as old as my house) was not working properly. I had used Tom's firm several years before and was very, very impressed. Several years later, he did not let me down. Tom took his time to look over my A/C and checked the fan motor and capacitor. After examination he assured me that the problem can be simply fixed; while the current capacitor was still charged (he performed a diagnostic test on it), it was not quite enough charged to start the fan. He showed me how he tested the capacitor as well. He replaced the capacitor (a $25 part) and installed it in less than 10 minutes. A few minutes after that the A/C was working like it was new. I have to tell you that I did have another A/C firm out to check my unit the day before Tom came out. They wanted (and I paid) their (almost) $100 "diagnostic fee". Their estimate to replace not only the capacitor but also the fan motor was almost $600 - not including thier diagnostic fee of almost $100...WOW! Tom did charge me, but much, much less as he took the time to check out the unit. Tom did such a good job, I tipped him! He deserves it!! There are not enough people like Tom in the world and I applaud his sincerity.

+ -1 moreI have two furnaces and they charged about $140 for the last service. The guy who comes out is great. I would recommend him for any heating and air conditioning needs along with a few other odds and ends. He has installed both of my furnaces and he maintains them. He used to maintain my old furnaces that were installed by somebody else. I would definitely use his services in the future too.
Description of Work: I use the services of Westview Heating & Cooling for the maintenance of my furnaces. Their last visit to my house was probably in November for furnace cleaning. They also changed the fancy filters that I have which are not electrostatic. They change it once a year. They changed those on both the furnaces, changed the humidifier element and cleaned everything.

+ -1 moreI called Mr. Chew of Westview Heating and Cooling to repair the airconditioner at my mothers, condo. He said he was in that area and would meet me there. When I arrived, about ten minutes later, he was already at work taking the unit apart. An electrical short circuit had blown a hole in one of the refrigerarant lines and Mr. Chew cut out that section and installed a new contactor while waiting for the line pressure to drop to zero so he could braze the line closed. He recharged and tested the system and then reassembled it. I have used Westview Heating and Cooling before and have found them to be promp, professional, and reasably priced.
Description of Work: Thomas Chew of Westview Heating and Cooling replaced a bad contactor, brazed closed a leak in the refrigerant system, and recharged and tested the unit.

They won't sell you something that you don't need just for the sake of selling you something. I don't have a lot of comparison for the price, but I thought it was a good value. The quality was excellent!

I LEFT A MESSAGE, AND 2 WEEKS LATER, I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A CALL BACK. I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A BUSY SEASON, BUT A PHONE CALL LETTING ME KNOW SOMEONE WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE TO HELP WOULD BE MORE APPRECIATED THAN JUST LEFT HANGING. 2 YEARS LATER AND NEVER REC'D A PHONE CALL - APPARANTLY THEY DIDN'T WANT OUR BUSINESS.
