All Performance Appliance Repair

It only took him less then 10 minutes to fix.Due to the incompetency of the other repairman I was without a refrigerator for 5 weeks. The repairman from Performance Appliance called me the next day to be sure I had no issues and he thanked me.

My repairman quickly diagnosed the problem. He did not have the replacement part with him, but since I had been without a washer for two weeks, he disconnected the lid sensor so I could do some laundry until he could return with the repair part and perform the permanent repair 2 days later. Given the Stay at Home situation, and that there were no children living in my house, his temporary fix was very much appreciated, until he returned for the permanent repair. Tech showed up on time, with PPE and shoe covers. Professional and got right to work. He discovered some debris in the drain that was causing system to error out. He cleared the debris, ran a couple of test cycles and issue resolved. I paid before he left and it was a satisfying interaction.

My washing machine was making a lot of noise on the spin cycle, exactly as I described it to Dave on the phone. Dave showed up at my house within the 3 hour window he gave me on the day I let him choose at his convenience, and within 30 seconds of me describing the problem again, he diagnosed the issue and told me it would cost about $600 to repair. I pressed for more details since he never actually observed the machine malfunction, and never removed a screw. I even asked some questions about my dryer which he answered. Unfortunately, it was probably not worth spending so much money on a machine that was 10 years old. I would have given an A rating if he would have diagnosed the problem over the phone, it he would have taken apart the machine an actually spent some time looking at it, or after the first 30 seconds he would have said it just was not worth fixing and just left, but Dave expected his $60 service call fee, which I paid. I really think he knew all along that was how this was gong to turn out, but since he came I thought maybe he would diagnose this further and actually open up the machine to confirm what he thought. Instead, I think was just happy to collect his service fee for ringing more doorbell. I think you deserve a service fee when you spend time inspecting an appliance and fully assessing the damage, but when you know the answer off the top of your head, you should spare the customer the house call and the service fee.

Dave was great with is service. He explained a few things he found and answered a few other questions. He got right to the problem with the freezer and fixed it.

I contacted Performance Appliance Repair as a result of an Angie's List recommendation. My wall oven had 2 bulbs that needed replacing. On the surface that would seem to be simple job that a home owner could handle. However protecting the bulbs were covers that were fused in place They were virtually impossible for me to remove by hand. I hand tools to do so. Dave, the owner of PAR was quick to respond to my phone call. We agreed on service call the following week. He arrived on time and knew exactly what to do. Removing the oven door he was able to gain sufficient leverage to free both bulb covers. I was particularly grateful because another service company could only remove one of the covers, not both. Now I can clearly see what I am baking. Hooray!

Dave was very polite, informative and effecient. Also, he was very reasonable at half the price of other quotes received.

Dave was running late for our appointment but informed me that he would be late but would be here. He arrived, took dryer apart. Informed me that the motor was going, it was over heating and would not start. Told me the cost of the replacement motor. The motor is still commonly used in many newer models so he had it in stock in his truck. He replaced the motor. The door switch was going which controls the inside light and stops the drum spin when door is opened. Told me the cost of replacing it, which he did. Informed me that a belt was starting to fray and what to watch for. I told him to replace it but he said he didn't have that belt with him. I told him to order one and to come back and replace it. He checked the washer for me because I wanted to make sure it was in good working order. It was, only thing I needed was one control knob which I knew was stripped. He'll replace it when he comes back. I would call Dave back for any appliance repair I would need in the future.

Perfect. Came at the agreed upon time and definitely knew what he was doing.

Went well; repairman was able to tell us that the control panel had gone belly-up on a 2.5 yr old GE dishwasher and he checked for a replacement but found the control panel is no longer being made, so we had to buy a new dishwasher.

Arrived on time and performed a very detailed inspection. Felt he was very knowledgeable and honest. He explained what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix it. We certainly felt no pressure to commit to repairing washer. We ended up deciding to purchase a new washer but we did it with peace of mind knowing that it was the better decision. We certainly recommend and would hire again!

Dave showed up, looked at our refrigerator for 20 minutes, said he would call back later in the day with price on parts, charged us $68.40, never called us back, had to call him a few days later to see what was going on, he said he forgot to call me would call me back a few minutes with price and information, never heard from him again, had to hire another company, stay clear of Dave and his company, very unprofessional.

Dave assessed issue and a idler pulley needed replacing. He replaced it and working great. We also had issues with how long it took to dry items. He found blockage in the vent which was moving different ways under the flooring to the exit spot. He took venting apart and cleaned out a large amount of lint. It is working much better.

needed a new ignitor , would cost approx, $300. my stove is 20 years old , decided to get new stove,

Dave replaced the drain pump. After he left i started a load of clothes only to find water leaking from the bottom of washer. I immediately called Dave back & he came right away. The pump must of been defective, he replaced that pump. I’ve had no more problems. My only dislike was waiting a week to get an appointment date. I would recommend him.

He came and replaced the igniter in the oven and ensured that it worked properly. He even took the time to show me how to take care of another issue with the electric in our kitchen.

Repaired ice maker and water system: Returned request for quote promptly. Offered reasonable price. Scheduled job within a reasonable amount of time. Showed up on time and completed job professionally. Showed me everything worked

We put the request in on a Friday night, were called Sat morning, and they set the appointment for Tuesday . They called this morning, came this afternoon and fixed the washer

He checked it all out and it was good. We dont know why it stopped working and then started up again

The tech came out same day and fixed my leaking washing machine. Price was fair. I would definitely hire again.

Dave called about 30 minutes before he arrived for the service call. Trouble shoot the issue and gave me an estimate which I ok'd. He also made a recommendation about better venting of the dryer. I would definitely recommend and use them again.

Horribly unprofessional. My tenant called me on Monday stating the dryer was not heating up and that there was no air coming from the outside vent when the dryer was running. I called and spoke with Doug telling him what was wrong and that I suspected the hose/vent was blocked. He agreed even saying sometimes bird nests get in there and completely block it. I hired him to go out and fix it. He gets there and says yep, it's blocked but I don't clean vents, I just repair appliances - you'll have to call another company. And charges me a $65 service fee!! He knew it was most likely a blocked vent when we spoke on the phone but neglected to mention he did not do that work. I would have had someone else come out if he had been up front. I am out $65 for nothing and my tenant took a day off work waiting for him to show up. Disgraceful.
