Ohio Basement Authority

They sent a book before the estimate so I'd understand about basement issues and resolutions. This was well worth the hour it took me to read it. I knew what to expect mostly ... missed the details like the laundry tub would be removed and I'd need to hire someone to put it back and connect the plumbing. I'm sure someone more handy than myself could have done it. While they did a great job covering everything, turning off the furnace, etc, I still got to choke on cement dust in the air for two days as it was too cold to open the windows to air the place out. Got to love construction in the winter! One minor issue with cement dust on my blacktop driveway but I'm working that out with OBA who's customer service has been outstanding! The team who did the work was so friendly and clean in my home. My estimator didn't try to upsell me anything. There was even a supervisory team that stopped by during the work to ensure things were going smoothly.

Everything went great. Since it was February they had to work around the temperature. It has to be above a certain temperature for the cement to set. Because of that it took a few extra days to complete.

5 people came out. Everything was excellent.

We received great customer service from the team. When we had a question about the projects, they were very responsive. I would recommend the company to friends and family.

This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The sales representative was very thorough, much more than the other two company's representatives.that I had estimates from. The installation process was just as good; the installers covered the floors in the house where they had to walk and were extremely neat. They updated me on the progress as the day went on, explaining what was being done. The areas in the yard where they dug up to install the underground drain lines were replaced with the sod they had cut out, very neatly-you can barely tell where they had dug. The price was lower than the other two estimates I received. I highly recommend Ohio Basement Authority for any basement or foundation project!

Our home is a 110 year old restored Victorian and the foundation was settling. The previous home owners had done some things to try and secure the foundation but it was not a permanent solution. We had several suppliers come to our home and review the work and provide an estimate. OBA was not the cheapest, but their price was very competitive and reasonable, especially given the extensive, transferable warranty that comes with their service. They were very professional and informative. They took the time to explain options and repercussions. Once we scheduled an appt, OBA sent a packet of information that thoroughly outlined all the causes for a shifting foundation and the different options for correction. Additionally, while they were working on the foundation there was a minor plumbing shift that would make it easier for them to complete their job and the corrected the issues without charge. I was very nervous about the affect of this work on the interior, such as doors and cracking plaster. They took their time and ensure that the impact to the interior was as minimal as it could be. We had no issues after the job was complete. Having just gone through a pretty major renovation and having very mixed results on contractors, OBA was a shining beacon of professionalism and experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We were pleased with the results of the work and their responsiveness. Our landscapers were all set to start the work on our patio so we needed to have the foundation work done quickly. They were able to get us on their schedule in pretty short order.

Sump pump was installed in a timely manner and professionally done. I was very impressed with the salesperson and his knowledge of products. This is the second project done for us by this company and we are very pleased with their professionalism and quality of work.

Shaun, Milton and Daniel were an excellent team! They did it all on time, on budget and even fixed my washer drain to empty into the right spot (something I'd been meaning to get fixed and hadn't, but they just did it to make my life easier!). They kept me in the loop the entire time as well. In short, they were awesome!

Very nice job and very professional. Installers cared about the job being preformed. Work area was left very clean.

The Basement Authority team was very prompt and well organized. In just a few minutes the crew had everything prepared to begin work which included removing the old sump pump pit as well as digging a new discharge line through the frozen ground. They installed the Triple Safe system with 2 Ice Guards. They also laid about 75 feet of drainage pipe. It only took about 5 hours.

The price was much more affordable than I anticipated and they were very clear on the work that needed to be done. Everyone who worked on our house was respectful of our space, cleaned up and arrived on-time.

In the first case it was a critical foundation issue. Part 1 was handled in a straightforward way. Part 2 required a new approach and a lot of creative thinking. The group gets a great deal of credit for handling the problem, applying the solution and treating us - as very nervous customers - very well. The second experience involved encapsulating a crawl space at our new house. The execution went well, but they had neglected to tell us that the material emits a overpowering odor. They said it would dissipate in a couple of weeks - it took 3-4 months before the the odor had gone down enough that it was limited only to the crawlspace. The company's response was to this problem was "oh, well" and a pitch to buy a very expensive air filtering system. The job was done well; the after care, less so. In both cases, the costs seemed high - but comparison is difficult - the vendors choose unique materials, have unique skills and backgrounds - we paid top dollar for a service we can accept was top drawer.

Fine. I just didn't like the big mounds of dirt. I didn't think they would be so big. I will have to have someone put grass seed down.

They were very professional, worked very hard and I'm happy with the outcome. I contacted several other companies for interviews and this company was the most thorough. I can't say enough about their work ethic.

This company clearly delivered on their advertised services. My expectations were exceeded and the entire experience was exceptional.

The phone contact was very good, but when the estimator came out to look at the concrete flooring job it was quickly evident he did not know how to estimate. He didn't measure and said that this was a big job. He wrote down a few things I asked about doing and said he would have to talk to his manager and get back to me. I have not heard back from the company. I elected to go with a company that actually responded and seemed to want the business.

Work was done professionally and on time. Everything was clearly explained to me so that I understood what was being done and why it was needed. The foreman on the job was Richard P. He was very professional and courteous and took the time to explain (and show) everything to me. The team cleaned up the areas when they completed the work.

We have had a few issues & occurrences afterward; all resolved promptly & professionally to our satisfaction.
