I cannot say enough good things about the Basement Authority. From the estimate process done by Justin to the actual work this company was thoroughly professional. They even changed some of their start and stop time to allow our business to stay open while they were working. Thomas Mitchell Abe and Brian were a courteous hard working crew! It didn't. Claimed coupon via Angie's List and left information to call. No one called. Thought maybe miscommunication between Angies List so placed a call a few days later and had to leave message and still no one called. Do not understand. I saw commercial for this company and was glad they were on Angies List which is why I selected them. Will not use them and will not recommend them.

After having Ohio Basement Authority waterproof our basement, we proceeded to hire Dan, the electrician they use on their jobs. We needed an updated service panel. Recommended by Jordan, who has remained a constant and reliable resource of information and suggestions to me, as I took on the job of getting my parents home up to date for selling. Dan was very polite and professional! I was immediately at ease after greeting him the first day he came to the house. Once he put his music on and I heard the Eagles playing, I knew he was the man for the job. (My dad is a big Eagles fan!) Dan was informative as to exactly what he needed to do and explained to me the process. Being the holidays, and the City being closed, not being able to come out for inspection, the job took a couple days longer. Dan rescheduled his week, so that he could get electric back on the soonest possible! Thank you Dan! Thank you to Ohio Basement Authority! Truly a customer satisfaction company!

WOW! From my very first phone conversation with Jordan I knew this would be the company we would be hiring. OBA was our third estimate out of 3. Jordan explained in detail everything that needed to be done in waterproofing the basement at my parents home in Ohio. I had just returned home to Arizona, after moving my parents to a retirement home and selling their house, in contract. The buyers backed out after inspection revealed past water issues in the basement. Jordon was always quick to return my texts or calls. He never made me feel stupid. Eased all stress I had. Honestly felt that he and the company cared about us and were willing to work with us, allowing me to come back and do the prep work before they started. It was true customer satisfaction, not all about how much $ they could get out of us. Complete confidence and security with OBA and employees. My crew foreman Steven and his crew Alex McCoy and Eric Reese were so friendly from the moment they greeted me at the door. Very respectful and conscience of keeping carpets covered and containing dust in the are they were working on. They were mindful that their music wasn't too loud and that their language was appropriate. I felt very comfortable during the 3 days they were in and out. Was like having my son and his friends home! Steven was extraordinary in explaining things to his crew and also to me. Showing me the progress they made throughout the entire job. If you are one who lives with OCD.... Steven is the one to have on your job! Very tidy, neat and complete! High Five to these guys! Thank you all so very much! Highly recommended!

I am happy to recommend OhioBasementAuthority. From our initial contact with Eric Oliver to the end of the project, we were well satisfied. Eric examined the crawl space, took photos and then sat down and spent lots of time explaining what and how they would fix the problem (mold in basement). Eric was patient and answered our MANY questions thoroughly. A month later the crew showed up (Martin Alonso, Josue Alonso, Jasiah Rojas) and set to work. They were polite, efficient and did the work as promised. They kept us informed when we asked questions and were careful to keep the area where they were working tidy. We were well pleased with the results. A few days later when we called the office, we spoke with Jenny. She was helpful and answered our question. We have no hesitation in recommending OBA.

They came out and removed some existing structures in our crawl space and then encapsulated it and the insulated the walls. The team was very efficient and were really nice. I’d definitely hire them again.

Zane, Q,, and TJ arrived on time and went right to work. They explained what had to be done and made sure I knew if a structure had to be disturbed. They made a special effort to preserve shelving and the integrity of the yard. This personable crew knew what they were doing and did a great job in a timely manner in a less-than-perfect environment.

Ohio Basement Authority and their employees are great people. We had someone out to do work on our internet and when they got into the crawlspace they said there was standing water. Thus beginning our roller coaster ride to where we are now. I initially contact The Basement Doctor and had them do an estimate, their initial estimate came out to around $25k. Upon having their lead foreman out we were told the estimate was completely wrong and it would be about $10k more. Upon hearing that I did some research and found that The Basement Doctors price per "Pier" was about $800 above the midwest average. When their lead foreman scheduled to meet with us he was 45 minutes late. With an estimate of $32k and only a half encap for our crawlspace. Then comes Ohio Basement Authority. I saw them on another google review and gave them a call for an estimate. They sent out their sales representative Andrew who was on time and very forward and honest about what to expect. Their estimate came out to around $28k including a full encapsulation, sump pump (waterproofing) and a commercial grade dehumidifier. The crews showed up on time and started work. Ryan's crew was here first and answered any and all questions or requests I had without hesitation. They explained everything as they were doing and made sure we understood what to expect the property to look like post project and why. Jose's crew came in after Ryan's to do the waterproofing and encapsulation, they were courteous and efficient and did an amazing job. Both crews cleaned up very well. The crawlspace was clean enough I crawled around with my 3 year old after the epoxy vapors subsided. All in all, I would recommend anyone who needs to have foundation or waterproofing work done should give OBA a call and get an estimate, I can almost guarantee it'll be less expensive and an all around better experience than anyone else.

He saved me on his expertise by telling me that I needed a Structural Engineer before he could even tell me what needed done on a house that was built in 1908. He came out to the house twice & the second time he also brought (Jeff) to ensure that their diagnosis of the basement along with the Structural Engineer report to figure out exactly what needed to be done to make the basement sound & viable for years to come.

Basement Waterproofing, Wells and Pumps
Ohio Basement installed a new sump pump in our basement a couple of years ago to address a water issue we had. We were pleased with the job since we've had no new issues with water or moisture in our basement since the pump was installed. We didn't get the annual maintenance agreement when it was installed, but we decided to enroll last year. Late 2018, during a maintenance visit, the technician (Tyson) completed the routine maintenance service and found several problems with the initial installation. He knew his company had completed the job poorly, but he was honest enough to point it out and explain in detail what was done wrong. Not only did he admit to it, he offered to correct the issues free of charge. Tyson needed approval from his supervisors to do so and it was right before the holidays of 2018, so it took couple of months to get scheduled and completed, but the company owned their mistake and agreed to come out and correct the issues. We just had the job done today and just like last time, they completed the work quickly and efficiently. They also cleaned up after themselves and left the work area spotless. Couldn't even tell there was work done down there! More importantly, Tyson and Brian T. took the time to explain again what needed to be done and walked us through every step in detail. They were both friendly, respectful, and mindful of our home. We were definitely impressed with the integrity and honesty reflected through this company's crew!

The Ohio Basement Authority team arrive on schedule and got right to work. The waterproofing involved opening up the floor for the full length of a long basement wall, installing water-guard system for channeling water to the sump pump, and then putting in concrete over the length of the work -- big job over 2 days. They did high quality work, cleaned up thoroughly at the conclusion. Additionally, they installed carbon fiber strips to prevent the basement walls from bowing into the basement. The work is all supported with a strong warranty. The team was courteous and professional in all respects.

My elderly mother needed waterproofing in her basement. Francis Purcell sent out the most wonderful, professional crew to do the work in my mother's basement. We couldn't be more pleased with the Foreman, Valentin, and the other two excellent men in his crew; Jesus and Evert. Valentin, Jesus, and Evert not only did a top notch job, they went above and beyond their job description. These three men helped my mother up the stairs, they covered their shoes every time they entered the house, and Valentin patiently explained the process every step of the way. They are the best! My mother and I couldn't be more pleased with the OUTSTANDING professional and caring service they provided!

Sales comes out and gives me a $5k quote telling me all of this work that needs to be done but not knowing how the water is getting into the basement. I had my contractor come out who actually figured out WHERE the water was coming from and how to stop it. $800 later, I haven't had water in my basement for 2 years.

After being out all morning, we returned after lunch to find the alarm going off for our battery back-up sump pump. In checking the sump, it was nearly full and neither the sump pump or the back-up pump were working. It had been raining all day and the snow that had fallen over the weekend was melting. I needed it repaired today. I made several calls. Ohio Basement Authority said they would check the work schedule of their field service staff and get back to me. Wes Cartwright, one of their service staff called me back and said he had another customer to see and would probably be at my house between 3 and 4 pm. He arrived on time, checked the situation, concurred that our sump pump system had failed and he could replace it. He gave me the price to just replace the sump pump and the price for a new pump with a battery back-up system. I had him replace the entire system. He worked very efficiently and knew exactly what to do. He did a good job of cleaning up when he was finished. He was finished in about an hour and a half. He explained that they have an annual system check up service, too. He was very pleasant and I would be happy to have him return to do work for me in the future, if needed.
