WOW! From my very first phone conversation with Jordan I knew this would be the company we would be hiring. OBS was our third estimate out of 3. Jordan explained in detail everything that needed to be done in waterproofing the basement at my parents home in Ohio. I had just returned home to Arizona, after moving my parents to a retirement home and selling their house, in contract. The buyers backed out after inspection revealed past water issues in the basement. Jordon was always quick to return my texts or calls. He never made me feel stupid. Eased all stress I had. Honestly felt that he and the company cared about us and were willing to work with us, allowing me to come back and do the prep work before they started. It was true customer satisfaction, not all about how much $ they could get out of us. Complete confidence and security with OBS and employees. My crew foreman Steven and his crew Alex McCoy and Eric Reese were so friendly from the moment they greeted me at the door. Very respectful and conscience of keeping carpets covered and containing dust in the are they were working on. They were mindful that their music wasn't too loud and that their language was appropriate. I felt very comfortable during the 3 days they were in and out. Was like having my son and his friends home! Steven was extraordinary in explaining things to his crew and also to me. Showing me the progress they made throughout the entire job. If you are one who lives with OCD.... Steven is the one to have on your job! Very tidy, neat and complete! High Five to these guys! Thank you all so very much! Highly recommended!

Everything was up front. Inspections, measurements, conditions, and solutions. We hired with a written price contract. Crew was professional and explained each step. We got a good value for our money. Thanks

There are some things undone but I was aware of them ahead of time such as replacing some concrete steps & landscaping. If it wasnt for that you would never know that the work was needed. Everyone I dealt with was polite, professional, & knowledgeable. From past experience I felt the price was reasonable & in line with costs.

I am very happy with the work John Orr and Joe Lake did to replace my gutter drains from my house to the street, and connect them to the downspouts. They were respectful and courteous, and answered all of my questions.

I was impressed with Ohio Basement Authority from my first meeting with Andy, through my experience with the full basement waterproofing done by Justin, Jose, and Jaylen. They were all very professional and very kind. I had a lot of questions, and they were always willing to answer them thoroughly and patiently, even if I asked them more than once! They worked with me to find ways to avoid having to drill through some drywall I wanted to preserve which was a huge relief to me. They were on time, worked hard, and were very trustworthy. I would definitely recommend them!

Julio and his crew were very courteous, professional and hard working. His years of experience and intimate knowledge of crawlspace repairs were outstanding, keeping a large and complex project on time while adapting quickly to resolve problems. The Basement Authority staff provided outstanding support and gave us confidence in our decision to go with them. Our best recommendation.

The work I had done was a little pricey but it will be worth it if it gets rid of the damp and musty smell in my cellar. I was very pleased with the work Jose and his crew did. They were fast and professional. I had questions about the dehumidifier they installed and Jose answered them to my satisfaction. Overall a good experience!

Honest enough to tell me i did not need their services. Explained all i needed to do to eliminate my very minor issue. Definitely a 5 star company that deserves its good reputation.

The whole process was quick and easy. Came in and gave us an estimate on there first visit. Pricing was much lower then other quotes. We were able to schedule the work a week later. Project was finished in 2 hours.

Everyone I have worked with was great. Victor did a good job of explaining exactly what needed to be done when he came out to give me an estimate. Due to the tricky layout of my yard, they had to bore instead of just excavate. My situation was complex due to the house being on an incline, the neighbor's fence being too close to the side of the house for them to excavate where the original water line was, and the hookup to the main was in the middle of a city sidewalk. Some of the companies I contacted could not even handle the job. OBA had to bring in special boring equipment, which bumped the price up, but it also did minimal if any damage to the roots of my neighbor's 100 year old pine tree. I love that tree, so that was a relief. There was also only a tiny patch of my yard that got ripped up for it. The crew that worked on the replacement, John Orr, Joe Iake, and Buck were efficient, couteous, and professional. Heather in the office also helped resolve a problem for me. The best part is that OBA did it for $1,850 less than the estimate I was given by a competitor. I would definitely recommend.

After quoting out with multiple companies, Ohio Basement Authority was a great choice. They were very thorough in explaining the options and were courteous on the day of the drainage install. I appreciated that they took great care with the sprinkler lines and repairing any items accidentally hit. They helped troubleshoot a few other potential problems when on-site saving a service call as well. Nick Toledo, Larry and Chad were prompt and certainly a crew I'd hire again.

Project: Crawlspace encapsulation. The entire process went smoothly and according to schedule. The workers: Electrician-Ben, Encapsulators - Martin, Josue, and Josiah were all fantastic. The encapsulation work was especially challenging. The team worked steadily throughout the day, kept things clean (except the expected dust), did a fantastic job AND were wonderful to engage with. Really appreciated every aspect of this project and the team who completed it. Would highly recommend them.

Gerald C, Chillicothe OH The only unfortunate part is the rating system only goes to 5 Stars. During the last couple of heavy storms we had water against the house which would drip into the basement due to uneven grading in the back yard. We needed a drainage ditch to get the water away from the house. From the inspector who was able to come by the house a day earlier than initially scheduled, to the office staff who called us to provide a job date, but also a call 2 business days to remind me, but the crew who worked very hard in the sun to get the job done 1/2 a day early. Everyone I interacted with was able to answer my questions, and was more than professional. With the service I received it sets a bar for how business can be run. If only other companies out there could take pride in their work like these folks you would never hear about customer complaints. I don't think I can express eloquently how pleased I am with the job that was done. 10 Stars!!!

Everyone I worked with was both friendly and professional. They completed a variety of tasks including a new sump pump, new drain lines and carbon fiber straps on a basement wall. I am pleased with the outcome of the project.

I had lined up another company to waterproof our basement but decided to get one more estimate before the commitment. Josh, from Basement Authority convinced me to choose them. Josh showed me videos and explained how the water guard system works. The crew that came out were very professional and courteous. Midway through the job the guys showed me what was being done and asked if I had any questions. I would definitely recommend Basement Authority to anyone having water issues!!!

Ohio Basement Authority and their employees are great people. We had someone out to do work on our internet and when they got into the crawlspace they said there was standing water. Thus beginning our roller coaster ride to where we are now. I initially contact The Basement Doctor and had them do an estimate, their initial estimate came out to around $25k. Upon having their lead foreman out we were told the estimate was completely wrong and it would be about $10k more. Upon hearing that I did some research and found that The Basement Doctors price per "Pier" was about $800 above the midwest average. When their lead foreman scheduled to meet with us he was 45 minutes late. With an estimate of $32k and only a half encap for our crawlspace. Then comes Ohio Basement Authority. I saw them on another google review and gave them a call for an estimate. They sent out their sales representative Andrew who was on time and very forward and honest about what to expect. Their estimate came out to around $28k including a full encapsulation, sump pump (waterproofing) and a commercial grade dehumidifier. The crews showed up on time and started work. Ryan's crew was here first and answered any and all questions or requests I had without hesitation. They explained everything as they were doing and made sure we understood what to expect the property to look like post project and why. Jose's crew came in after Ryan's to do the waterproofing and encapsulation, they were courteous and efficient and did an amazing job. Both crews cleaned up very well. The crawlspace was clean enough I crawled around with my 3 year old after the epoxy vapors subsided. All in all, I would recommend anyone who needs to have foundation or waterproofing work done should give OBA a call and get an estimate, I can almost guarantee it'll be less expensive and an all around better experience than anyone else.

We had our sump pump replaced and our crawl space encapsulated. Everyone I had contact with was extremely courteous, professional and knowledgeable. John, our salesman, thoroughly explained the projects, which was very helpful. The installation crew, Evert, Davis and Amilcar were very careful to cover the wood floors leading to the basement door with plastic. They got both projects done in under 5 hours. They were polite, friendly and answered all my questions. We are so happy with the results and would highly recommend Ohio Basement Authority to anyone.
