COULD USE BETTER FINISHERS AND BE MORE PARTICULAR IN THEIR WORK SIDEWALK HAS A CURVE IN IT

.I am a retired construction worker who worked for the same contractor for over thirty years. I worked around and with alot of different trades including cement contractors. I never ran into anyone like Ram Con. Ifirst called them about the first of July. Aaron came out and gave me an estimate. I told him it looked and he could have the job. I read about him on Angies List and on Home Advisor. They gave them good ratings. Aaron said I would be put on the list and it would be about 3-4 weeks. After about 4 weeks I called him and he said I was 3rd or 4th on the list. I called him later and he said it would be soon. He never called me back. I do not know why or if he decided not to do the job. maybe you can find out. It is now the first week in October and I guess I will wait until spring to find someone else to do job. I just wanted a garage floor and driveway tore out and replaced. Hope you can recommend someone better.

The original start date was four weeks out from the day the estimate was given however we had expectations that the date would probably change but that was ok with us. We were then told they would start the week of July 7th, in effort to save money I said I would remove the large deck on the back of the house which I did the weekend before the work was to take place. After hearing nothing that week before I called on July 6th and was told it would be the week of July 14th due to the rain, again something I was ok with as long as Im staying on the schedule. Just to make sure we were on the schedule I called the City Building Department and verified the contractor had permits for the job which I felt good about because they obviously had intentions to do the work and were telling the truth about being behind. It is now August 20th and I have received no communication from Ram-Con since we spoke on July 6th, I have since then left two voice mails as well and still no call back. In addition I wrote the building department a letter absolving the building permits for this contractor on my property and have since hired another contractor that I am much more comfortable with.

Work was done in timely and efficient manner. Owner was responsive and worked with my tight timeline to complete work. Would highly recommend. I received 3 bids and Aaron provided the best price. He provided immediate estimate instead of mailed estimate like others. I appreciated this very much. Very happy with work and have received numerous compliments from neighbors and friends.

Demo was fine on the existing garage floor. Footer quality was less than expected, but passed inspection. (Sloppy trench and uneven width(s)). This caused the drain pipes to be laid higher than was required as they couldn't get the pipes to clear the jagged footer. Garage floor was poured and finished ok with the exception of corners; curb was framed off and finished very poorly. There were numerous voids and uneven concrete on the curbs for the footboards of the up and coming garage building. We had to have the builder call them back to skim coat the curb as it was full of open holes and uneven - very unsightly! Builder had to caulk the entire base of the garage footboard so that there would be no gaps between the 2x4's and the curb. The front face near the downspout was not finished off smoothly and left unsightly globs of concrete at the bottom of the front face. Transition from the existing slab to the new garage floor was uneven in width and was very noticeable. Although the pitch was according to the plan, it was so high that we ended up having it torn out and had the next section(s) of existing concrete removed and the entire apron re-poured. This was not their fault, but even so - the transition area was poorly finished and uneven in width from the man-door to the garage door. The inside of the floor where the curb meets the floor was not smoothly finished. This isn't such a big deal, but only because it will be covered by cabinets and such. We accepted the poor finish. We were very disappointed as we had paid a large amount of money for a large garage and the concrete work was not up to par. Pictures of the quality of work are available.

I recieved an estimate that was professional and timely. When I scheduled the work they were on time and took special care to keep my yard in good order.
