+ -1 moreI found them from Angie's List. They were really thorough and really nice to deal with from the time I made the appointment to them coming. They were timely, which is really important to me. They did everything they were supposed to do and they were finished by almost that they said they were going to be finished, which was great. They weren't cheap but they were good. The price I think was the going rate and they actually cut some cost off on my bills.

+ 0 moreThe crew arrived right on time and got down to business immediately. They walked me through the whole process before beginning. They were courteous and wore protective booties over their shoes to protect the carpets and cleaned up after themselves. Except for the fact that my air and dryer ducts are clean, you would never know they had been here. Would definitely hire them the next time I need the ducts cleaned.

Description of Work: We bought a home and it didn't appear the owners had ever had the ducts cleaned. Mighty Air Ducts not only cleaned and santized the ducts and dryer vent, they pointed out mold in the registers the former owner didn't appear to have ever cleaned and they pointed out that the former owner left the cold air return un-ducted and un-connected from the ductwork.

+ -1 moreIt was great. They came in, were knowledgeable and left the house clean. It only took a couple hours, but the air smelled fresh after! However, they were a bit too expensive. I would have preferred to pay nothing over $250.

+ -1 moreThe job went like clock work. The two employees arrived at the apointed time. The job was completed in about two hours. I had moved most of the furniture near the registers. This reduced the time required to do this job. I also had cleaned the floors near the registers. This made it very easy for the company to do a excellant job.
Description of Work: The ducts in my home were cleaned. Some of the items cleaned were the supply heat ducts, cold air returns, furnace (inside) registers/grilles. The system was sanitized.

My overall experience with them was good as they were very good. They did what they were supposed to do and they did a thorough job. I will have them come out again someday.

+ -1 moreOverall, it was very good and the workers were very nice too which means a lot. They did a good job. They were here for a while. I was satisfied. I don't think that anybody is excellent. They were very good but I don't really think that anybody is excellent. I thought that the price was a little high and so, they were not excellent. The price was a little steep even with the discount that I had.

+ 0 moreOverall, the duct cleaning went very well. One man supervised while the other assisted by watching over the heat registers and vents on the main floor of the house. They both seemed to know what was expected of them and acted accordingly. Both were helpful to us by answering our questions and explaining their use of the equipment when asked. They appeared to be careful in all they did. Although I saw the size of the container they used to collect what came from the ducts, I didn't examine its contents, so I can't estimate the volume of dust . dirt, or other material they collected, but the supervisor said it was enough to justify the cleaning, and we feel better knowing that excessive dust isn't being blown into and through our air filters every day and night. All told, we were satisfied that the job was well done, and we received the service we paid for.
Description of Work: A crew of two men arrived at our single-story home about 2 p.m. on July 29, 2011, as arranged. After explaining what they intended to do, they went right to work, moving furniture as necessary to examine, clean, and cover the registers and vents in all the rooms. They cut a large patch from the duct closest to the furnace and opened a window in the basement for their hoses. Then they removed plugs in the ducts that had been punched there several years ago for an earlier cleaning; the holes are a few feet apart in all the ducts; one of the men followed the ducts into and around the large crawl space beneath three bedrooms and a bath; it didn't appear to be a problem doing that. They worked quietly upstairs and down for about two hours, covering and uncovering the registers and vents as necessary.. After cleaning the ducts, one of the men went behind the house, removed the vent cover from the dryer exhaust, and cleaned the exhaust with a long tool he dropped through the opening into the appliance downstairs. That was done at no additional charge. When the cleaning was finished, the men plugged all the holes they had made or opened and replaced the metal patch that had been removed from a duct near the furnace. Their work was done as quietly as seemed possible, and they left nothing to be swept or cleaned when they finished. We were well pleased with their work, their attitude, and their report to us on the state of the ducts, which they said had need cleaning but wouldn't need it again for at least another five years. I can't provide a more detailed review of their work partly because I didn't stand around watching the whole operation and partly because the service was provided over four months ago, and I don't recall everything the men said and did, but they didn't seem to be wasting any time..

Description of Work: There were two men who came to perform the service. They were very professional and courteous. They completed the job within 2 1/2 hours. They ran a huge hose from their vacuum outside down into the basement where my furnace/air conditioner is housed. I would not recommend doing this service when it is extremely cold or extremely hot outside since they have to turn off the furnace/air conditioning during service. It got pretty cold in my house - 61 degrees while they were completing the job. Also, you need to make sure they can get at your heating vents. While one man operates the vacuum, one man goes around to every heat vent and cold air return and cleans them. They were very neat and there was no mess left behind - a plus in my book.

+ -1 moreThe two man crew arrived promptly at the appointed time. The lead man, Shawn, briefed me as to exactly what they were going to do as the other technician, Seth, set-up their equipment. They prepared each room and immediately started work. Although the large vacuum they used was loud, Shawn and Seth were not. There was no idle chats about sports or cars - only work related issues were exchanged - they were very professional. Our cold air returns were extremely dirty and encrusted with 56 years of crud. They diligently worked to remove all the accumulated debris. All of the openings they made were then sealed up in a professional craftsman-like manner. The men then cleaned the work areas of any scraps. Both of them re-checked all work areas before leaving. Shawn advised me of a furnace problem unrelated to their work. He was spot-on with his advice. This was a positive experience. Our home is more comfortable and my eyes no longer itch and feel dry.
Description of Work: They cleaned the heat ducts and registers along with the cold air return lines for two furnaces.

+ 0 moreThe overall service was performed as stated with a slight problem regarding vents that were missed. This was discovered after they left and I had to call them back about the vents that were not cleaned. They immediately responded the next day and cleaned the vents that were missed. I am satisfied and would use them again.
Description of Work: I had them come out to clean all my duct work though-out the entire house (two floors) and the dryer vents. It was their busy season and took three weeks before I had a appointment confirmed. I had a coupon for $30 which was deducted from the overall price. My house was on a slab foundation with two stories approx 2500 sq feet. They had to cut a hole in the main duct work to clean out all the debris and they had to insert their cleanig hoses though the furnace. I was told my duct work was extremely dirty ( never cleaned) house is 19 years old. Two men came out on time as scheduled and began their heating inspection before actually performing their services to confirm if the work could be performed ( too detailed to describe). It took them approx 3-1/2 hours complete all their services on a 2500 sq foot home. They were efficient and professional, however after they left I discovered a few areas that were missed and called them back. The problem was solved immediately without any issues. I would use them again.

+ -1 moreThere was a little "phone tag" before I was able to get an appointment, but when I did they showed up right on time. They were able to give me a quote right over the phone when I described my house, which was very convenient. They said they would call 30 minutes ahead, and they did call ahead, but were already on my street when they called. Nonetheless, they were very nice about waiting a few minutes until I got there. Both workers were polite and professional.I was happy with their work .AND, I got and Angie's list discount :) I used this company several years back and also had a good experience.

+ -1 moreThey were among the most expensive bids we got, and we went along because of their Angie's list rating and their statements on what are reliable air duct companies. They missed a duct and broke a security wire although my husband cautioned them to be careful there as it was broken and just fixed recently. These would be okay if they just fixed them when I reported the problems. Instead, they said that it was okay to miss a duct and denied breaking the wire first. When I pursued further with the owner Pat about the security wire as the house should be guarded every night, and told him that I had pictures and a description of the problem from a field guy from my security company, the owner did not budge and it was very unpleasant. However, next day his office manager Pam did call back and apologised and said that she could send in a guy to fix it (I told her that a small settlement of $50 would do and she agreed. This is way below our cost to finally fix the problem by the security company, but it was Pam's final attitude that mattered). In summary, they were expensive and it was not a very positive experience. I think that in the future we'd use our previous air duct companies we had before Mighty Ducts.
