First, I would like to point out that we have used this provider before to install some windows in our home. Because of the positive experiences that we have had with Radiant Windows, we contacted them when it was time to replace our standard size sliding patio door. Although I told them on the phone that it was a standard size door, the owner of the company came to our home to measure everything before making the door. When he arrived to do the measurements, he was punctual, courteous, and genuinely nice. He thanked us for our return business. He collected a deposit for the door with the remainder being due following the installation. Because we ordered the door that had the blinds sealed inside the glass, we were advised up front that it may add up to two weeks onto the wait for the door (but it did not). When the door was completed, we were contacted and an appoinment was made for the installation. The two workers who arrived to do the installation were fantastic. One of them was the same gentleman that had installed windows on our home on two separate occasions. It is nice to have consistent quality service. In addition, much care was used during both the removal of the old door and the installation of the new. For example, when the frame of the old door was being removed, they made a conscious effort to move the door out into the yard before they "disassembled" it. They ensured that they did not destroy the frame of the door on our Trex deck because they did not want to scratch it. Their finish work is also impecable. All trim was perfectly placed and they repaired some J-channel on the siding that was cracked a long time ago just because it was close to the door. The new door looks spectacular and I cannot recommend Radiant Windows more emphatically.

Overall we were very satisfied with Radiant Windows. My call for an estimate was followed-up quickly and the sales rep was very helpful and knowledgeable. We were satisfied with our quote and chose Radiant over other estimates we received. The owner, Mike then came out to do a final measure before ordering windows. We were told the windows would be ready early July, but they didn't schedule us out until the mid-late July. I was told this was because we only had two windows (small order) and they needed to work around other installs in my area. The extra waiting time was a little disappointing because we were excited about the new windows and were remodeling so it was a slight set back. The three men who came to install did a great job. They were efficient, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. Outside of cleaning it only took them about two hours. They did a great job with the outside of the house: they installed a sash where we had raised the window and didn't have extra siding and it really looked like it has always been that way. I'm very pleased with the look and quality of the windows as well.
Description of Work: We had two new Sunrise windows installed in our kitchen. One window was also raised 4 inches to accommodate a new counter top.

Radiant Windows were fantastic. Mike, who is the owner did our windows in the other house is great. He's really conscientious about his work and he's honest. His installers did a really great job. It just so happened at the time it happened, I had a home energy audit guy and the audit guy didn't know that I had a past relationship with Mike from doing our old house and he was like "this guy is doing such a great job." They explained everything about their product. He seemed very proud and stood beside their product, it wasn't just like trying to sell me something that caused more because I had some other estimated with people. Our house is built 1920 and we have some really neat windows which is authentic to the house but is not energy efficient. He came out and looked at them and he said "you know what? We can work around this, there's enough room in the sill where we can put energy efficient windows in here and you can keep those original windows for looks." They incorporated them together, it was a lot of work but they did it and the price was great. I trust them because they did my other house and they did a great job there too. He worked with us to figure out the best way to keep the authenticity of our original windows and still make it energy efficient.

Thank you for the review and the opportunity. I must apologize, but there might have been some miscommunication, because we actually do carry the full line of Polaris windows. We typically don't quote the Polaris brand because the performance and the quality of our Sunrise brand and our other brands have better test performance numbers and better quality of materials and design. Our Polaris brands are cheaper in price, but we typically like to start off by showing our customers the better designed products first. Again, I am very sorry for the miscommunication about some of our product offerings, but maybe you would be so kind to keep us in mind for future projects. Thank you again for your report! Kind regards, Mike Shadoan - President / Owner - Radiant Windows

I obtained 3 estimates ranging from $4495 to $10,899. Gave serious consideration to lowest bidder, but Radiant had better reviews both with Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau. I signed the contract with Radiant on April 29 and was told it would be 4 to 8 weeks before installation. Actual installation was at 9 weeks, still reasonable, but if timing is important to you, put it in the contract. I was told the crew of 4 would be here at 8:30, and they pulled into my driveway right on time and ready to work. They protected my carpeting and work area and cleaned up after themselves as they went along. The crew leader went over the window operation and features with me. My new windows are beautiful both inside and out, and I am confident they were installed correctly for maximum energy efficiency. The entire job took the team of 4 approximately 7 hours to complete. Every Regency representative I talked to reassured me that if I ever had a problem with any of my windows to call and they would take care of it. So far, I am a very satisfied customer.

they came out ay 9:00 am and put runners down on the carpet and drop cloths over the outside plantings. they worked very hard and put all the windows in then rolled up their runners and vacuumed up after themselves. they cleaned up all the small pieces of trim that was outside .they were very polite and professional. it took them all day and they only took a short lunch break. I would rec0mmend them to everybody.

The crew arrived on time and before starting work, they spread protective runners and drop cloths all through the house. They worked efficiently and carefully and cleared away any obstacles while installing 16 windows throughout the house. I had been worried about some shrubs planted in front the bay window, but they carefully worked around them so they weren't harmed. The bay window was the main problem and they completely reworked the design and the crown to prevent any more leakage and greatly improved the appearance. I was very impressed with the time and care that was spent on this aspect of the job. All of the windows are great looking (they matched the wood color of the original windows) and open and close easily. At the end of the job, they vacuumed and cleaned up any debris that was left in the house. Before they left, all of the features of the new windows were fully explained to me so that I could take advantage of all of the new things. I would readily rehire them for any other job that I might need.

Out of the couple of top-rated contractors we had considered and got estimates from, we went with Radiant mainly because of the price. Before we committed to hiring Radiant, Mike was kind enough to come by and answer our questions and he explained how they were going to fit the standard-sized new door onto the existing 40-inch width. Basically they would build-in, so we would lose 4 inches of door width. We were a bit concerned about that but Mike said 36 inches were the standard and common size, and we shouldn't worry about it. Looking back, we wish we had understood the full implication of this, since the installed door does look small. It also explained the slightly higher price quoted by another contractor since they were going to install a custom door matching the existing width. I don't think anyone from Radiant provided us the option to keep the existing width. During his visit, Mike offered to include a hardware (handle, knob) style that we had really liked but which was more expensive, and a new door bell switch, for the same contract price, and that was indeed a nice gesture that we really appreciated! The installation took almost all day, but we were happy with the new door once they were done. After the technicians left, I realized that my alarm system was no longer recognizing the front door. I called my alarm company and they said the door company should have told us about the need to re-attach the sensor wire to the new door so that they could have been here on the day of the install. But nobody from Radiant -neither the sales person, nor Mike, nor the technicians - reminded me about this. So what should have been a 5-minute job (according to the alarm company) if scheduled during the door install became a 1 plus hour job for two techs from the alarm company (and $100 expense for us) to re-wire the sensor circuit to include the new front door. When I mentioned this to Radiant, they apologized and agreed that they should ave alerted me about this before the install (the keypad is right next to the door, and there was sticker about the alarm system right on the old door, so they couldn't have missed it). We also wish they did a re-keying of our other entrance door so we wouldn't have to carry two sets of keys for the house. When I brought this up with Mike he offered to stop by and do this, but he was going to charge for it (but he also said this is best done by hiring a locksmith). Of course, it has also been a lesson for us not to assume anything and bring up everything up-front, but shouldn't professional service providers go the extra mile and address these (re-keying, alarm system issue etc.) on their own? In the end, we are happy with our new front door, in spite of the issues we came across.

After more than 18 months of researching all of the various brands and options available in replacement windows, I can easily say that I now know far more about windows than any layperson probably should. I?ve read every article and industry publication I could find on U-factor, R-Rating, Visible Transmittance, Argon vs Krypton, double-pane versus triple-pane? Well, you get the picture. I did my research. As the new owner of a charming old 1920?s home with lots of huge, original 1920?s windows, I wanted the best in technology & comfort, but I also wanted windows that would preserve & enhance the character of my old home, not detract from it. I had looked at all of the major brands such as Pella, Andersen, Marvin, Gel Wend and even had some salesmen out for estimates. Everyone I tried was either very hard sell, which made me uneasy, or they were unable to answer my most basic questions, which made me even more uneasy. I wasn?t even looking for a bargain; I was simply looking for value for my dollar and for the best window for me. Being brand new to Ohio and not knowing whom to call next, I then re-read just about every Angie?s List review there was on Replacement Window companies for a second time around. I had never heard of Sunrise Brand Windows or this company before, which is why I had ignored the rave reviews for Radiant on my first run through Angie?s List. This time though I decided to give them a try. ?Having wasted all my time with those other companies, I was about to leave town in two days for a six-month stretch and so sent Radiant?s owner, Mike Shadoan, a company email on a Wednesday night. I figured I?d never hear back from him in time but then at least I could cross Radiant off my list as well. Within about an hour, at 8p.m. on a Wednesday night, I got an email from Mike asking me to phone him on his personal cell. Mike told me he could come out to my house the very next day, even though he was located a good two hour?s drive away. When Mike arrived, I was expecting the usual salesman. But as it turns out, Mike Shadoan is NOT a salesman. He is the ?un-salesman?! Mike is, in fact, an engineer and he is BRILLIANT! He wasn?t there to push product or to close a deal, he was there to listen to my needs and to talk about windows and the way that windows work. Mike was so impressive that I immediately knew I wanted to work with him. Mike took measurements and then a few days later, while on a plane with his family for vacation, he compiled and emailed me his estimate. Mike?s Sunrise windows were going to cost me less than Andersen or Pella, which he also sells, yet they were far superior in performance. And, Mike quoted me the windows that he thought would do the best job for me without adding any bells and whistles, and without ever encouraging me to purchase any upgrades. Mike, the un-salesman, never even once asked me if I was ready to buy. Instead, he spent endless hours emailing with me back and forth over the next several months, willingly & thoroughly answering all of my endless questions, without so much as even a deposit. As a result of Mike?s no pressure approach, as I learned more and more about the various options that Sunrise Windows offered, I decided on upgrades all on my own with Mike even telling me a few times that the original, less expensive windows he had initially quoted for me would still be a really great choice. And, though Mike made no suggestions that would inflate my price, he did make several invaluable & thoughtful suggestions that would enhance the overall function & beauty of my project and my ultimate satisfaction with it, even though those suggestions meant LOTS more work for him and his crew at installation. Well, more than a year after our first conversation, the first round of my new windows was finally installed today. The windows are the best-performing windows you can buy and they are absolutely beautiful! The best part of this whole process though was definitely Mike Shadoan and the entire staff at Radiant Windows. These people could not be nicer, more professional, or more accommodating. Everything from the scheduling with Lori, to the install with Dan, Logan, Bruce, & Phil was handled with the utmost care. Mike himself has gone above and beyond for me throughout this whole process in too many ways for me to list here. I can honestly say that Mike is a true perfectionist who cared about my home and my project as much as he would his own. ?In the past year of dealing with him, I have often thought to myself that Mike Shadoan is like a real life version of the cartoon character Dudley Do-Right. Like Dudley, it seems that Mike Shadoan is ?honor bound to do good?. Aside from being incredibly smart, he is definitely the most conscientious, trustworthy, and responsive business owner I have ever met. You?d be crazy not to buy your windows from this guy. UPDATE: After experiencing my first winter with these windows, Polar Vortexes and all, I am BEYOND pleased with my purchase. The floors where these windows were installed are now 10-15 degrees warmer, as proven by the thermostat, than the level that still has the old windows. The rooms with these new windows are now toasty warm. THE RESULTS ARE MORE THAN WORTH EVERY PENNY I SPENT.

I needed to have my windows replaced on my 18 year old home, so I arranged to get estimates from three companies. Radiant was the last estimate. I was very impressed with the information provided by the owner, Mike Shadoan. He came out personally and spent a significant amount of time, no pressure, and described my options to me. I chose to purchase the Soft-Lite Pro window. After waiting for the windows to be made, his workers (Dan, Phil and Bruce) came out for the install. I was amazed at how professional they were, and the care they took installing these windows. I only have 7 windows as I have a small home, but they spent the day putting these windows in very carefully. Dan even vacuumed my whole house after they were finished. There was absolutely nothing I had to clean up after they left. As far as the windows, I love them! They are very classy looking and function well. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for new windows. The cost is a bit higher, but I would pay the extra any day, to get the kind of install and professionalism I received with this purchase. I feel very secure in knowing that if I had any problems in the future (which I don't expect) they would be right out to take care of it. Go with Radiant is all I can say!

We have used Radiant Windows in the past (sliding glass doors and tall cathedral window) and have been very pleased with their service and products...we were not disappointed this time. The three workers arrived on time, they removed an existing bay window and installed a new bay window in the kitchen...the job involved a lot of detail work which was completed to perfection. The workers were very polite, quiet, and answered all of our questions. We can recommend Radiant Windows with no reservations...once again they did an excellent job.

It was great dealing with Radiant Windows from start to finish. I called for and estimate on installing some French doors between the living room and the sun room, but later my wife and I decided to get an estimate on having all the windows in the house replaced. At the agreed time Rick came to the house to give an estimate. Rick was very pleasant, well experienced, and well informed. He patiently gave us a very thorough presentation of information about the window, the company, the workers, and the options. Rick gave us what I thought was a resonable estimate the following day. We made an appointment and Mike, the owner, came to the house at the apointment time and made measurements for the windows and doors. Mike is a plesant professional person who is highly experiened. He made the measurements and we discussed the details of the installation and he answered all my questions and about the installtion process. However, after receiving the estimate my wife and I decided that we were not prepared for the expenditure for having all the windows replaced right then so we opted to only have a new picture window installed in the living room, 3 replacement windows installed in the kitchen, and a French door installed between the living room and sun room. I ordered the windows and the door and I was informed that it would take about 6 weeks to order them. About 5 weeks later Lori called to make an appointment for the installation. I was informed the the installation would probably take 2 days. On the agreed day 4 workers, Dan, Phil, Ron, and another fellow (sorry - I forgot his name) arrived at the agreed time. They quickly assesed the situation, put down floor protection, and went to work. The workers were all pleasant, professional, highly experienced and highly skilled. I have had a considerable number of projects done on a number of houses (I installed windows in one house myself) and I was impressed with the good quality of their work. The finish work was great. The inside caulking beads were perfect - they weren't even discernable! I can't find any part of the installation that I was not pleased with. They installed the windows one day and Dan and Phil came back the second day to install the French doors. Clean-up was thorough. I was throughly satisfied with the quality of the windows and doors and they lived up to the description that Rick gave at the beginning. I don't have any complaints. My wife really loves the tilt-in feature of the double-hung kitchen windows that allows her to clean them. I was throughly satisfied with the process from the estimate to the to the installation and I would definitely use Radiant Windows again, and I would highly recommend them.

I had used Radiant Windows in 2006 because of Angie's List and I was very pleased with them. They gave me an Angie's List discount. I couldn't be more happy with them. They are direct, prompt, they do what they say they are going to do, and they even gave me a winter discount. They had a promotion on Angie's List about a month ago, but then they showed me that with the Angie's List discount and the winter discount I would be saving even more money. They showed me the lower figure rather than the higher one. I have been really pleased. It seems typical of them to ask me how exactly I wanted it done, somebody came out and checked with me, then the owner, Mike Shadoan, came out to take some pictures so that it would be done properly, and they cleaned up perfectly. They are a good company. I would give them As for all of it.

When it came time to replace a sliding patio door, the first company I called was Radiant Windows. Again, they were very professional. The job went very well except for one item. They showed up when they were supposed to, and had a large enough crew that the job was completed in one day. The finished installation looks great. I was especially pleased with the front door. It is a very beautiful door, of the quality I had hoped for. The one thing that didn't go smoothly was, the keys for the locks installed on the third visit were to match the keys for the back door, which was installed on the second visit. This had clearly been expressed in the planning. We aren't sure how an error was made, but the owner of the company came by soon after the installation with lock parts and changed all the newly installed locks so that all door lock keys now match. I'm quite happy with all the work Radiant Windows has done for me over the past year...over $15,000 of work in three separate contracts (the work was divided because of my financial limitations). Radiant Windows worked with me, and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want. Their company and workers act in a professional way, and I would recommend them to anybody.
Description of Work: This was the third phase of work done on my home by Radiant Windows in the past year. The first time, they replaced all main floor windows on my home. The second phase was to replace my back door and screen. This time, they replaced my front door and screen, garage "people" door, and both garage windows (detached garage).

They were priced right. The owner was very professional, courteous and punctual. He helped us to purchase the right window for the location. The installers also were professional and cleaned everything and hauled away all debris. We are very pleased.

Overall the remodels went great. We're extremely satisfied with the results. There were small issues with plumbing and final details that were quickly addressed by Scott Thompson. We knew we wanted modern bathrooms but needed design help. Anne Tesch came back with a great design for the master that we love. I'm a manufacturer's rep for two products used in bathrooms. They had no problem using my product even though they were unfamiliar with it.
Description of Work: Radiant Remodeling completely gutted and remodeled two bathrooms, one of which was the master bath.
