+ -1 moreSkip was extremely professional. He moved the furniture that needed to be moved away from the wall. Drop cloths were put down. Since I was going to be getting new carpeting, Skip cut a 2'' strip of carpet around the entire room so the molding could be painted properly. The ceiling was painted first. The walls were painted next and then the molding. I also had 3 beams on the ceiling that needed to be painted with the molding color. 3 colors in all were used. The painting was beautiful. No drips or mistakes onto other colors that lead to my foyer. When the job was done Skip cleaned up everything and moved the furniture back in place.
Description of Work: Skip painted my entire family room including trim and patio doors.

wallpaper removal
+ -1 moreThe walls look horrible. I have a lot of work ahead of me. I understand a days work to be 6-8 hours. Skip worked 2 hours then took a lunch break, then returned and finish in 1 hour and 45 minutes. Skip was featured on the "Page of Happiness", so I did not look any further. I am sorry I hired him. I expected a better job.
Description of Work: Skip Schmidt came out to give me an estimate on removal of wallpaper in my kitchen. He said the job would take a day, and that he charges $240.00 for a days work. He finished the work in 3 hours 45 minutes which comes out to about $70 dollars an hour. Much of the drywall cardboard was removed in the process of removing the wallpaper. A lot of the wallpaper paste was still on the wall. I want to eventually paint the walls. He wanted to know if I wanted to hire him to come back to prep the walls.

+ 0 moreSkip does an excellent job; you'll never find a spot or area missed. He's a top notch professional, and he's also got an eye for what colors work best. He does all the work himself, so you know the job is done well. He's also very organized and cleans up throughout the job. He's reliable, arrives on time, etc.
Description of Work: Stripped wallpaper in 3 bedrooms. Painted 3 bedrooms, living room and family wall. Also performed several wall and wallpaper repairs, removed picture hooks, towel racks, touch-up painting to ceilings, trim, hallways.
