GUARDIAN ANGELS

Description of Work: We were getting my parents condo ready to sell. Guardian Angels disposed of all the items family did not want, i.e. furniture, knickknacks, clothing. They also thoroughly cleaned every nook and cranny of the condo, including the appliances, so it was ready for market. I was also very pleased with the cost. They helped make this difficult task much easier.

Description of Work: Guardian Angels completely cleaned my house.

Description of Work: I did not end up working with Guardian Angels because the volume of my mom's belongings was not substantial enough to meet Guardian Angels' minimums.

Description of Work: They were vague about what they could do for us. When they finally came out to check we did not have the sort of goods that they could auction. This could have been handled by phone - they wasted their time and ours. they should have a system of politely determining what is needed by the customer and then let the customer know if they can provide that service. Maybe they have gotten better.

Description of Work: Guardian Angels cleaned out, then cleaned, a deceased relative's home for us after her passing, to prepare it to be sold.

Description of Work: The Guardian Angels were a tremendous asset in the moving, storing, and subsequent liquidation of goods from two households. Absolutely trustworthy and reliable, with a very hands-off (on my end), approach. A little bit slow on phone responsiveness, however, their professionalism was never in question.

Description of Work: Bill and Pat Diesing (Guardian Angels) looked over my mother's house to determine what needed to be done to prepare it for sale. Bill looked at things from a home inspector's point of view, which was helpful, and Pat looked at things from a designer's point of view as well. This is what was done: Parged and painted basement stairwell. Patched kitchen ceiling, primed and touched up area with matching paint. Removed carpeting from living room, dining room, hall, and one bedroom - including padding and tackless strips (a hateful job to have to do!) The padding had stuck to the hardwood floors, so they scraped off the residue and then cleaned the floors with paint thinner to get the rest of the residue - then washed and waxed the floors. (The floors looked spectacular!) Ripped up all tiles in basement rec room - tiles were old, cracked, and coming up. Washed basement floor - basement is huge! Replaced broken panes in basement window. Vacuumed entire house incuding basement and garage. Washed all trim and painted walls. Cleaned kitchen cabinets, appliances, floor. Cleaned laundry area in basement Wiped down paneling in basement rec room and cleaned bar area. Cleaned all light fixtures, fans, interior and exterior. Scrubbed and polished 2 1/2 bathrooms. Washed and waxed all wood floors and slate floor. Washed all windows - double hung - even between layers - and wiped screens. Patched hallway ceiling and painted entire ceiling. Provided the key repeatedly for the plumber, furnace repair man, and realtor. Kept an eye on the basement - which flooded when it rained - and mopped up water three times - spending several hours on this alone. Washed and ironed all curtains and rehung them in such a way as to show off the windows. Weeded front gravel, picked up the yard after a windstorm, swept the driveway. (Yard is big and drive is long...) Placed a more esthetically pleasing light in one of the bedrooms. Kept in constant contact with us.

Description of Work: When my parents died, Pat and Bill came in, staged the house and conducted an estates sale. What they couldn't sell they disposed of or gave to charity. They then cleaned the house completely.

Description of Work: When my parents died and we had to put the house on the market, Bill and Pat came in, organized everything and conducted an estate sale; then cleaned the house from top to bottom. Then Bill performed all the repairs cited in the city inspection. Anything they couldn't sell at the sale they either got rid of or gave to charities. The house was immaculate when they left.
