Description of Work: Hired them for snow plowing. they were awful. called multiple times without ever getting a return call. pushed gravel out of my drive across street onto neighbor's lawn after we had specifically discussed not doing this. tore up my grass in multiple places. got their truck stuck in my yard and never repaired damage

+ -1 moreI called these folks in late 2005 to have a look at my front yard, which is low lying, and adjacent to a stream which occasionally floods the yard. I asked to have fill put in, and basically have the yard leveled off, even with my new driveway (which was about a foot higher than the original). I had a large box culvert put in a couple of months earlier just prior to the paving, and the excavators left my yard a complete wreck. Erickson gave me an initial estimate which I tried to cut down by advertising for fill dirt...got a little but not enough to do the job and that spring, I decided not to press my luck with the neighbors, so I called Erickson back. The job took them about 2 months to complete, and about 2 weeks after I paid the bill, my yard had become a pond. They came back after I complained a few times, and put in a French drain. That was about 7 months ago, and I haven't heard back from them, although they were kind enough to bill me for the "extra" work.
Description of Work: Description from my invoice: Installation of fill dirt to bring level of ground area up and be able to drain front yard properly and collect water in catch basin. Grading and seeding where driveway was put in after fill dirt is brought in and removal of railroad ties. Installation of boulders to stop erosion along stream, 7-8 tons needed. Drainage solution for along left side of bridge (widening stream 3' and cutting down dirt level so that water can drain back into stream faster and not pool up in areas.
