Finishing could have been better.

It didn't go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it is a little hard to put in a dollar amount when they don't even come or call for an estimate. So far I have called 5 people on your list and had no luck. One who didn't show for an estimate appointment, one who never returned the phone call to make an appointment and three who never even returned my first message to speak to them about their services. Not to happy with Angies List. I could go through this by myself without having to pay you for the pleasure. I have not gotten any farther in this process than I would of just going through the phone book.

He arrived within an acceptable time of our appointment. I had new outlets waiting near all of the wall sockets and he went to work installing the new ones. It has been a few weeks now. All of the sockets are functioning properly, were aligned parallel to the floor and secure to the wall. Overall a job well done.

It went well . Mr. DeLauro contacted me and came out to see what I wanted done . He arrived at the appointed time , started work promptly. He went out to buy the materials that were missing and finished beyond the 8 hours that was agreed upon with the Angie's List Big Deal. He cleaned up and we talked about another day to finished some other jobs as the ceiling repair took up the greater part of the day. He followed up with a phone call to set the day to finish up. Agreed upon work was completed as discussed. I would contact him and use hire him again for future work in the house.

He was on time and gave me the best price he could. He was easy to talk to and prompt. I strongly recommend his work.

They did excellent work on all the painting that they did for us. They showed up on time and they did good work. They cleaned up after themselves and for a painter that was pretty best thing they can do. It was Dan Delauro himself and another guy. When they painted our whole house one of the things I really liked was that none of the guys used bad language and they didn’t play loud music. They were there for 2 weeks on my other one and it was just very easy and pleasant to have them around. It was a big deal purchase.

He took a great deal of care with the plastering of a wall that had water damage, but I did not feel he finished the painting, as window frames and doors were not done. I feel that the total price was a lot higher than anticipated. He was very clean, and did not leave a mess behind him. If I knew ahead of time that the job was going to cost as much as it did, I would not have that contractor do the work : although I must say that this may not have been his area of expertise, so probably would have been better off using someone who ONLY did plastering and painting. In short - not a bargain.

Purchased the deal. He promptly called to arrange for service. We scheduled date for service and he showed up on time. Completed the work in about an hour; actually going over by a couple of minutes without extra charge. Seemed to do a very nice job.

Dan was very responsive to my call and on time. He acted as I would expect a professional to. When I first spoke with him over the phone I explained it was a light/fan fixture in my parents home which had a very high ceiling. I couldn't measure since the walls were slanted. He showed up promptly for the appointment but unfortunately did not bring a ladder that would reach. I believed he was better able to see what would be involved to install the fan. He was very good about getting back with me to reschedule another appointment and was on time for the next appointment. It took him longer than I thought it would to install the fixture since I have had other fans installed and have even installed a few myself and it didn't take two hours. However, after he finished with the fan I asked him to install a hard wire smoke alarm which I would pay him to do and he did gladly. I regret that he did not inform me that I would need a fan/light switch to enable both features to work. I could have have that available for him to install and would have paid extra. So I have a fan only with no light. A lack of communication. I did not mention in my first review that when Dan installed the fan/light fixture which I had taken pictures of including the box the fan came in and the down rod and every angle of the room and ceiling. I told him the ceiling was about eighteen feet high. He came with a ladder that was too short. So he would have to return the next day. He had the perfect opportunity after seeing what needed to be done with his own eyes to tell me it would take longer and that I needed to get a "special switch". But he did not do that. I had no objection to paying extra I just needed the job done.The next day after he was finished putting the fixture up I was not able to turn the light to the fan on and he said I didn't have the right switch and that I would have to "pull the chain". I would need a ladder to do so. I didn't even know how to reply since I was so taken back by his reply. It didn't make sense to me and he was in a hurry to leave. This was my parents empty home I was getting ready to sell. I had an inspection last week and the light on the fan doesn't even work. The chain was jammed and the inspector got it unstuck and the light still didn't go on. He said he can't imagine a professional not checking out his work. I am so upset that I have he didn't install it properly. There was never an issue about me being willing to pay for his extra time. All he had to do was tell me it would take longer and that I needed a different switch (which I didn't need with my other fan/light fixtures) so he would have to charge extra. All I expected was to have the job done correctly. Now I have to pay another person to come in and repair his work.

Dan did a great job at a very reasonable price. He was very courteous and punctual. He made sure that he listened to our requirements carefully and provide his input. Dan came out to be a very experienced and trustworthy contractor. He made sure that he did the work right and not just trying to finish up the work. He and his colleague they worked non-stop with very minimal breaks, showing his high work standards and integrity. I will definitely use his services again.

It was the worst experience I have ever had. He could not do anything I asked. He said it was too time consuming. He was not very professional.

This ties for the best experience I've had when having work done at our house. Dan and his crew were punctual, polite, friendly, helpful and, most of all, did excellent work. If a problem came up, they handled it. They did a good job of cleaning up when they were finished. One thing I especially appreciated was that I never heard one swear word or cursing of any kind. When they played music, it was low. They also planned the two weeks of work to create the least inconvenience for me and made sure while working in the bedrooms that I had somewhere to sleep each night! I enjoyed having them there.

Keeps my house in perfect condition, inside and out. I call him my "Property Manager". He does beautiful work. He is always neat and orderly, There doesn't seem to be much of anything he cant do.
