Dan DeLauro is very difficult to get in touch with. I've sent a few text messages (which is how he's been communicating with me) in the last several days and called and left a message today and haven't received any response. This is frustrating and I haven't even had him tear my kitchen apart yet! At this point, I'm uncomfortable hiring someone to tear apart my kitchen (and my life) and trust that he'll do it in a timely manner ... not to mention, be accessible through it all. I want my money back.

It was good. They were on time and professional. They cleaned up when they finished. We had no problems. The price was good.

He got in touch with me in the dead in winter. I told him what I needed wouldn?t be ideal during that time. When the time came and the weather broke, he came out and put in an outdoor wooden fence. Nowhere did he suggest to me that it would be an unfinished fence. The treated wood had to be left for a year before it could be painted, which I would have to do myself. There was a lack of communication there and I was a little disappointed. Inside the bathroom, around the window was not properly sealed. They were able to seal the window properly, which I appreciated. Paint on the ceiling was peeling. I needed to have that skim coated. They took off the loose paint and went over it with a primer, but I was expecting it to be a finished product. I was looking for it to be painted but apparently there was not enough time. I never heard anything about it. Nothing was a finished product that they did except the sealing of the window. I am disappointed because I was looking for finished work, but now I have better unfinished work. I spoke with him, and explained my concern, but he explained that he didn?t have enough time. I wish he would have told me this when we first met so I knew what to expect. I think there was poor communication with what there was. I made it very clear what I wanted and they did not finish the projects. I didn?t get what I was paying for, which was a finished product.

I gave the provider the specific time frame I needed the work done. I did not hear back from them until after that time had passed. I have requested a refund for this deal.

They were terrible and ridiculous. I was annoyed by them. I contacted them through email. Then they mixed me up with someone and they were supposed to call. Then out of the blue they called and said they were going to come out and did not show up. I was so confusing.

They did not finish what was on my list, despite me calling before I even bought the deal to make sure it would cover what was needed. It took them an hour and a half to put in two curtain rods. They incorrectly measured while putting up a mirror, and left holes in the wall. It had to be patched, and is very noticeable, as the paint does not even blend in (this is in my entryway). I even paid for extra hours to finish the job, plus they charged me a fee for the ladder!

Two people came to do the work. They plastered two rooms for me and painted. I had to pay extra money for an extra day of work.

The city said I needed to have the electrical panel grounded. He was able to figure out a way to do things cheaper than other providers. The other providers wanted to charge me $250 and I didn’t have to pay any additional fees with Delauro. He was courteous and professional. I am very happy with the electrical work.

These guys were professional all the way. on time, honest, and upfront in their assessment of the job.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were very punctual and professional. It took 3 days. He did quote me and he went slightly above the quote. He quote $1800-$2000 and it was $2100 because he had to purchase additional light bulbs.

It was a gift actually. As far as I know, everything went well. I was out there for an experience but they did something to get my parents house. So far I believe they are pretty pleased with it. I purchased it and I spoke with the gentleman who kind of runs the business and I kind of explained to him what was going on, and I gave my mother his number and she contacted him after and scheduled everything, when they came to work. She said they were courteous, cleaned up well, did a good job. They were courteous, professional and cleaned up. That's all I know. They were very pleased.

Punctuality could have been better, but the quality of work was good, they did not take shortcuts, and they cleaned up after themselves. After the job was completed, they walked me through what they did. Overall I am happy with the service they provided.

He was great! I had him repair drywall in the basement due to a flood. He also fixed a light switch that was not working right upstairs. I utilized this service like I would have a handyman, because he also did some plumbing work too. I wished Angie’s List would let me give him an A+. There was some scheduling mis-haps though. They were a little sloppy with giving me an exact time when they would arrive.

I needed quotes from two general contractors for the purpose of an insurance claim due to property damage. Unfortunately, by the time Dan and I finished a game of phone tag I already had three. Dan was very understanding to the situation I was in and we left the option open should I need his services. Dan was very due diligent in trying to reach me and for this I give him an A+ for response and communication!

Ordered a Big Deal, they were not able to perform the service for 6-8 weeks...However, they made contact with me immediately and did not have an issue providing refund.

They arrived on time and worked great and quickly. I even added items to the list which they were glad to help. I will have them out later to do some painting later.

I had to make 3 phone calls before he responded. When I finally talked to him he said he didn?t know when he could fit me in. I started calling in March. He wasn?t sure he could even fit me in before the end of April. He then scheduled on April 19, 2014. I emailed him what I wanted done. I asked what supplies I needed to get. He told me. Everything was scheduled. After waiting 4 weeks for this to be done, he tells me 2 days before he?s supposed to start that we?re not in his area so he wants to charge me an additional $75. I?m only 7 miles outside of his area. This was not listed in the fine print. I asked him to waive the $75 since it wasn?t in the fine print and I had to wait so long. He told me no. He was polite about it, but the whole experience was a disappointment. I could have had the work completed while I waited for 4 weeks. I need this done before the end of April so I?m hoping I can find someone reliable before the end of the month.

Someone finally came three weeks later looked at the light took the light that was to be installed said he will return Monday didn't call or come by, I called on Wednesday I was told about all these different things I needed before the light could be installed but mind you there is already a light in its place. I asked for a refund and my light to be returned and I have not seeen the guy who has the light and I'm still awaiting a refund.

Two man crew, took three days plus a couple hours on the fourth day. Good workmanship, friendly, clean and reasonable. I have to confess that I would not have had the money to hire them to do all the work without the Angie's List deal for the first 40 hours, but I'm glad it was available. They accomplished what it would have taken me more than a couple of weeks to do. A hearty thanks to Dan Delauro and Frank for their great attitudes and persistent work ethic. They worked hard. A big thanks to Angie's List, too, for providing the forum for the "Big Deal" to get us together.

The painters were friendly and considerate. They worked hard and really wanted me to be pleased with every thing. One of them came back at a later date to trim an opening so I could install a new register in the living room. He came after a long day's work on the East Side. I appreciated that. I was getting new carpeting the next day; I was able to get the 1st four hours (2 men painting) for $199 as a big deal. That was a help. I did not meet Dan DeLauro but he was pleasant and helpful on the phone. I wish they would have cleaned the stationary tub where they rinsed their brushes and rollers. However, they did work till 600pm and I am sure they were eager to get home. In spite of that I would hire them, again.

dan forgot to mark the date in his log list for work to be done, my wife called in the morning to see were the painters were dan said he would get the painters out asap, they did make it to the house 45min late but worked had to make the painting job go smooth, when finished we were very pleased with the new paint on our walls, the 2 men that did the work were nice & hard workers, we are happy customers,& we would use there service in the future.

Tony and Frank were ACES. They were very flexible on timing, and were prompt. To get the job done on time according to our schedule, they even worked on Saturday and Sunday (not usual) in addition to the weekdays worked. As the work proceeded, we asked for more tasks to be done, and they always accommodated us. They kept track of time worked for billing purposes, and were on target according to our records. They always worked for perfection in what they did. The finished job was perfect. The owner, Dan Delauro, was very accommodating and provided materials and help to Tony and Frank as needed. The whole operation and our interaction with the workers was very satisfactory.

The team that came to the house were timely, courteous and did good work. Would use DeLauro team again.

The service worked out fine. I had them do one little thing extra, for which they charged me only 25 Dollars. There were two guys. The way my house is laid out, it is one ceiling, but it takes about a gallon and a half of paint. The prepping took longer than the waiting. They were able to work with it, and they were here about 4 and half hours.

Three men came prepped and cleaned area They took their time carefully removing wall paper and then Sainted three rooms there was damaged dry wall due to plumbing issue They cleaned and did an excellent job I will definitely use them again
