They were late getting started. I hired them on September 1, but they were unable to start until November. Once they started, they kept going until it was finished. They were great to work with and very particular about the work. We had a bit of a discrepancy over the final bill, but were able to work it out in the end.

He came out and gave us and estimate on redoing our basement due to water issues. He was honest on telling us what we needed and didn't need. We haven't done the repairs yet but will definitely use him when we do.

Overall, very good. There was some miscommunication in the beginning as to the date the job was supposed to start. When it did start the weather was bad and they had to stop working a couple of times, but they stepped up at the end and finished the job as they said they would. Chris was very responsive and has gotten us different handles for the skylights (the ones that came with them were awful) and then also got us some extra clips for the skylights to replace the ones we broke when putting in the blinds. The jobsite was cleaned up as stated in the contract. They returned as they said they would to take down a large antenna attached to the roof and side of the house. They did supply us with a lot of information up front on the company and their products which was helpful. I wasn't crazy about the form used for the quote and/or invoice. It was sort of a free form hand written page. I would have preferred an itemized line by line quote. It would have been nice if they had some sort of runners to put down or covers on their boots when they came in the house, which they had to do a lot for our job. I would definitely recommend J and E Roofing.

AWFUL... start and finish!

Overall it went well. Everything was on-time and as quoted. The only issue I had was that I was not told ahead of time that they couldn't re-install my Dish Satellite which they removed. I was present for most of the day, and no one advised me that I should call and set this up with DISH. However, they did admit this mistake and that I should have been informed ahead of time. Other than that, they brought a large team to do the roof and got it done in one day. Everything was cleaned up and no problems so far. I would recommend them and would use them for future work.

Good process. Met the quote and timeframe

So far the work looks good. It took a few calls to get someone out to put the temporary fix on, but part of that was due to a major storm that had just hit the area and they had other service calls to attend to. I dealt mostly with Chris through this whole process, and he was very attentive and was available to answer questions when I called. I will update further once the rest of the roof is put on. So far things have gone well. Jand E had someone come over and fix the interior ceilings in our bathroom and bedroom. Then Jand E came out at the end of march or early april. They crew came out and put the new roof in 1 day. The worked quickly, efficiently, and cleaned up everything. I am very pleased with their work.

Quality overall of workmanship was poor. I had to have a representative from CertainTeed visit the job site and inspect while the install was in progress. J and E was not installing the shingles to CertainTeed's specs and the owners, Joe and Eric, lied to me about it when I confronted them. They did not use the correct starter shingle and was overhanging the first shingle too far over the drip edge. Portions of the roof had to be re-installed, per CertainTeed. The areas along the metal valleys were not cut straight and were extremely uneven. Many of the valleys had to be redone also. The gazebo area was crooked and just awful and had to be redone. They tried to say that it was originally that way and I had to prove with photos that I had previously taken that it was not in fact they way they installed it. The flashing kit was not ordered for my skylight so I had to pay for a whole new skylight, even tho I did not need one, just so it would have a new flashing kit. There are numerous cosmetic cuts on the shingles and also on the metal valleys due to lack of care of the roofers during installation. I do have 2 positive things to say about this company. They did start when they said and they did clean up the job site all during the install very well.

They did a great job, but it did take them a while to get here though. Once they got the job started it went quick and I have recommended them to my friends. They used top of the line products and purchased it from a local vendor. I was also pleased with the estimate they provided me for the work and they were the only ones that provided a portfolio for me to look at.

The communication within their company staff wasn't as good as it should have been but they worked really hard to make it right. They were the highest quote we got but they not only gave us a 50 year warranty on the work they did but they also gave us a personal warranty that anytime they would come and fix it for nothing.

I thought it went well but it didnt. I dont think they knew what they were doing and I will never hire them again... thats how it went overall!!

i purchased a new home and wanted to look into adding a mancave on the rear of my garage, i called the company they came the same day to give me a free estimate, the gentleman was very polite and professional and offered up what has so far been the best rate, this company is also licensed and insured and all shinglers must be certified by certainteed in order to lay your roof, i have seen and talked to others who have had work done by them and they were very satisfied. when the weather breaks they will be my choice!
