He thought he could fix it if not we would have to replace. He was able to fix. It was a part on the condenser. He told me exactly what the cost would be before he started. He was very helpful.

Mark originally came out to our house to fix a 23 year old stovetop. He was very open and honest about the fact that parts would be difficult if not impossible to get. We ended up buying a new one and Mark came back out to install it. Although it may take a little persistence to track him down because he's so busy, it's worth the effort (as you can tell from the hundreds of positive reviews). He's a nice guy and did a thorough and complete job for a reasonable price. I'd definitely recommend him to others.

I called Mark on Tuesday, February 3, and he called me back within an hour. He came to my house that day and inspected a problem we had been having with our GE front loading dryer. The dryer is making a horrible scratching noise whenever the drum rotates; however, it has been making this noise ever since we bought the dryer (about 4.5 years ago), and we were remiss and never contacted GE to fix it. Now that we are getting ready to list our house, we wanted to be sure that the dryer was in working order, and the noise had worsened and gotten very difficult to listen to over the past week. Mark came out to our house, inspected our dryer, identified the problem, and he helped us fix it FOR FREE. He did not charge us a single penny, even though he went out of his way to come see what was going on. The issue, it turned out, is that there is a defect in the dryer itself -- the drum is mounted slightly too close to one of the interior pieces of metal (probably got bumped or shifted when it was being transported to our house for installation). He helped us prop the dryer up on some wood so that the drum would be further back in the machine and would not scrape against the metal every time it rotated. I think it is really generous that Mark did not even charge us for a service call -- that was actually one of the reasons I had picked him from some of the other providers who had minimum charges associated with service calls. I was hopeful that even though the noise was AWFUL, perhaps this would be a less expensive fix (under $100) and that therefore paying a heftier service fee would actually exceed the cost of the repair. Needless to say, Mark is a man of his word, and he did not charge us a service fee or a single cent to come look at our dryer and help us take care of the issue. HIGHLY RECOMMEND MARK. Thank you!!

Mark gave us a lot of information about whether it would be worth it to buy a new stove or get the one we have repaired. He works on both, but we decided based on his information to keep our old stove. He was very prompt and friendly, and he gives Angie's List members priority (and a discount) he said.
