Excellent. Jason and Amed were punctual, professional, knowledgeable, explained everything, cleaned up and hauled away all the trash. I was very pleased and my bathroom looks great! I was not as happy with Chuck, the salesman, because he would not accept a credit card and did not like changing anything for us. But Jason was very willing to work with us.

Adam of Creative Bath Systems came out to install grab bars in our existing shower. When I called him, I had previously talked to about 6 or 7 people including our city Senior Center and the Lorain County department of aging.no one could help or suggest a plan. Adam told me he could do it and I must say he was great. He was professional, arrived on time, and we are very pleased with the work. It was a pleasure to do business with him and I would highly recommend to others. He offered to help us when everyone was saying "sorry" can't help.. AN excellent experience with an knowledgeable, great guy.

I could not be happier with this company. The pricing was competitive with other companies and the customer service was fantastic. Due to traveling and my being out of town for months at a time, this project was completed over the course of 9 months. There was never a problem or an issue with them when they had to stop work and restart after I returned. The sales representative that came to our home (Bob) was very professional, there was never any high pressure tactics, he spent so much time with us going over the entire project. There were times during the course of the project that we changed our minds on certain items which I'm sure slowed down the process. Never did I get the feeling they were upset about the changes, just the opposite, they literally could not do enough for us. The installer (Jason) was fantastic. He was very professional, friendly, cleaned up prior to leaving every day, showed up on time, and his work ethic was fantastic. He is also a perfectionist, it felt like the work he did on my home was of the same quality that he would have done on his own home. It's very seldom I feel that way about anyone doing construction work. He literally could not do enough for us. The quality of the work he performed along with the customer service made this project a very easy one. My new shower is beautiful

In February of 2015, we contacted Creative Bath Systems to custom fit an acrylic bathtub covering to fit over my existing cast iron bath tub that is original to my 1940's home--a ranch style home with craftsman details throughout the interior. Bob Caranova of Creative Bath Systems came to my home with samples and an estimate. We picked out a tub liner with our contractor and ordered the tub without the tub surround since we were in the process of tiling the surround when Bob Caranova came to estimate the job. He said they would fit the tub covering over the tub and told us how much of a reveal to leave between the existing tub and the new tile surround to allow enough room for the new tub liner. At that time, Bob Caranova took measurements of the existing tub and told us that the time line would be 2 - 3 weeks to the installation. The installer arrived on March 5th and took approximately 3 hours to install the tub liner. The bath tub liner was the last piece in a bathroom renovation, which was the last room in an inside and out house remodel that took about a year to complete. The results were not only completely disappointing, the manner in which the problems were handle was rude and completely unprofessional. Here are the results: 1) The tub liner was sticking out from the original tub 1 1/2 - 2 inches beyond the side of the tub (depending on which side of the tub you were measuring the gap), leaving a large space between the wall of the tub and the new liner that was unsupported and could be easily pushed in with someone's foot. The tub liner rail (side of the tub) is much wider than the original side of the tub and is unsupported and could crack if someone sits on it. The raw edges at the ends of the tub liner, where it should have been cut to fit snuggly against the wall. were just left sticking out into the room on both sides, leaving a raw edge out from the wall approximately 5 inches on both sides. 2) Two of the wall sides of the tub liner were cut very crooked, leaving a gap in 3 places that water could seep down in behind the tub liner and the wall. The installer caulked over those places to hide them but all of the caulking was obviously messy and uneven with some of the caulk lines encroaching up the grout lines. It was so bad that the contractor had the installer stop caulking because he knew that it was such a bad caulk job and that he (the contractor) could do it better himself. When I got home that night I very upset by the poor installation. When I talked with the contractor the next day (March 6th, 2015) , he called Bob Caranova to come out and look at the installation. Bob Caranova came out and blamed everyone and everything else but himself. He said that someone measured wrong and when we reminded him that we witnessed him doing the measuring then he blamed it on his brother who must have ordered it wrong and then blamed the manufacturer for doing their part wrong. Bob Caranova complained that he didn't want to take this job because it is an old house and then I asked him why did he take the job if that is how he felt about it and he didn't reply. After countless excuses, he eventually promised to have the newly fitted bath tub liner removed and a new better fitting one reordered and installed but now said it would take a month or longer. Later that afternoon, he called back twice--each time ranting at the contractor and having hung up on the contractor both times. The ranting was so bad and so loud that the contractor did not have a chance to even discuss this with him so he just held his phone out into the room (without it being it on speaker phone) and we could all hear it. He retracted his offer to remove the new liner and said that there was nothing wrong with the liner. However, we did not have a problem with the liner but the fitting and installation were very poorly executed. Bob Caranova said that everything was fine "until she (meaning me) got involved". He obviously didn't care that I will be living with this everyday and that all involved were highly disappointed with this fitting and installation. A couple of days later Bob Caranova contacted us again and he was calmed down and offered to recaulk the tub liner and provide end caps for the raw edges sticking out into the room. Due to poor installation and caulking the first time around we could not trust that Bob Caranova's remedy would be of good quality or done correctly. We rejected his offer. During this time, we were brainstorming with the contractor to come up with a correction to the situation and also make it aesthetically appealing since everything else in the bathroom was so well done. We found out in the process we could have installed a new tub for about $1600. At this point, the completion date of the project was now delayed by 4 weeks and it cost an additional $900+ to correct the situation. Now this $1200 bath tub liner has a cost of $2100+, has added a one month delay in the completion date of a long renovation and was very stressful because Bob Caranova and his Creative Bath Systems workers did their jobs poorly, were unprofessional and Bob Caranova was very rude. After all of this happened, I checked out the BBB on this company and see from a review entered on their website that Bob Caranova's behavior in my situation was not an isolated incident. Please check it out for yourself.

Response from Creative Bath Systems
This response comes in follow up to the complaint rec’d from Angie’s List & their member (Member’s Information removed). 1 Creative Bath systems had no contract with (Member’s Information removed) whom Creative Bath Systems understands is a renter/tenant. Creative Bath Systems contrast was with the Homeowner and Landlord. 2 Creative Bath Systems had addressed any & all issues with the Homeowner/Landlord 7 Offered the problems with the project. 3 Rather than addressing the issues directly with creative bath, the Homeowner/Landlord elected to take their own actions to correct or “aesthetically improve” the installation despite being told what corrective actions would actually work. 4 Creative Bath feels it should not be held liable for any corrective actions taken on the part of the Homeowner/Landlord given the fact that they were fully informed as to the difficulties that would be encountered prior to the projects inception what was actually recommended to complete the project professionally. It is the opinion of Creative Bath that they have diligently attempted to resolve any issues with this project in a timely & professional manner & would ask & appreciate if you would publish. Check with BBB we have a A+ Rating.

It started out with Steve the salesman and he was fine. They had what we wanted and gave great information. I mentioned the AL discount and if he needed me to print it out then and he told me "its okay." Then I looked at the bath seat they wanted 400 for and I told them I seen it for less than half that. I told him what I had found before I ordered it. He called his company to make sure it was ok to install and said no problem. I wanted the wood grain and not the white. The guys come in to put the seat in and it doesn't fit my tub. The company I ordered it from wouldn't take it back. Bob Wampler tells me that the one I can use will cost another $600. Bob Wompler did not want to give me the Angie's List discount and it was a $250.00 discount. I did not get my discount and I spent all this money for seat I can't use. They come in and install the 600 dollar seat and I got on it and I fall in my bathtub and end up bruised and sore. The company said it's happen before. The installers came back out and removed and reinstalled same bath seat. Before I used it my husband sat on it and the legs did the same thing as when I fell. Also the original holes werent covered up and the surround was totally scratched up. This is all on top of repeat visits to fix the seal on the cut-out that caused water to leak into the basement when my daughter tried to take a tub bath. Bob comes out himself and said they will warranty the seat it and finally agreed to give me the AL discount. He said the feature I would need is the kind that folds against the wall, which is the one I bought originally. I called him directly because my wall is scratched up and I still can't use the seat. He comes out and says you will need the seat that folds up, and since the time frame for return was up on the one I purchased personally, it was donated to charity so I'm out $600 for the new seat I bought that didnt work, and 220$ for the one I bought on my own. He calls and said they are going to replace everything and give me a seat, and refund me 380 dollars to make up for the money I spent on the original seat. They said they will call when they are going to install it. They call me last week to tell me when they will come and I reminded him about the refund and he said yeah. He called me back less than a minute later saying he never said he'd give me any money back exept for the 50 dollar difference in the cost of the current seat in my tub, even though he said it in front of my daughter as well. They came out today to install and brought a 50 dollar check. I signed the installation form saying that the check won't be cashed and I will be going through AL first to resolve this. I was treated rudely, by the management, especially considering that because of them I fell in the tub and was sore for days. The only good thing is that the installers were very pleasant.
Description of Work: They removed the tub surround and put in a new tub liner with a cut-out and seal with a door to make it a walk through to accomodate my disability. They also installed shelves and grab bars and a bath seat.

Response from Creative Bath Systems
Steve our salesman went out to the house to meet with her and give a demonstration and help design a bathroom that would fit all of her needs. He designed a tub liner, wall surround, a new value unit, a tub door to fit over the tub cut out, and grab bars. The total amount of her contract is $4,694.00. I have been informed by her that he informed her that she could buy a seat and that we would install it. What Steve overlooked was the location of the toilet in regards to the tub cut location on the bathtub. When we install a tub cut or a walk-thru insert we need to ensure that the path into the tub is not restricted so we had to move the walk-thru back towards the back of the tub a few inches. This eliminated the chance to use her seat that she purchased. I wish that she had called our office to confirm that the seat she was purchasing would work however she did not. As the installers were at her house installing the system they informed her that the seat would not work. She then called me and asked me for recommendations. I Bob Wampler set an appointment to come out and review the options that were available to her. The option that she had chosen was a fold down bench style seat that attached to the wall. The cost of the seat was $624.62 dollars; she then mentioned an Angie’s List discount that we were promoting of $250.00 this brought the total of the seat to $374.62. This amount added to the previous amount totaled $5,068.62.I have a signed Quotation paperwork documenting this transaction. I then ordered the seat from our supplier and as soon as it arrived I called and set an install date. Our installers went out and installed the seat. A few months later she called and said that the seat had broken. I was shocked this has never happened to us before, and I set a time to come out and repair or replace the seat which ever was needed. I apologized and said I will need to take the seat and contact our supplier to see what they recommend and a solution. Our supplier said that in all the years that they have been using these seats that this has only happened one other time. They said that we will need to replace the seat and there is no way to repair it. I ordered another seat. I then contacted her and explained everything that was told to me from our manufacture, and that I ordered another seat. The new seat came in and I called to schedule an install date. Our installers went out and we installed the new seat. A few weeks later she called and said that the legs were moving and she felt uncomfortable. I scheduled a time to come out and take a look. When I went out to meet with her I apologized once again, and took a look at the seat. Nothing was wrong with the seat at this point however the legs just made me feel uncomfortable and they looked like they were moving a slight bit. I asked her not to use the seat and give me a few days to do a little research and see if I could come up with a solution. The next day I found a seat that our manufacture carries that we can adjust the length and width and sits right on the tub and eliminates the legs. I called her and explained she agreed that would work so I ordered the seat the seat cost $584.61. I then explained that the difference is $50.00 and she would be reimbursed $50.00 for the difference. She said that she wanted $600.00 to reimburse for the seat that she bought on her own and for the fold down seat she bought. Even though the cost of her seat was $374.62 after the Angie’s List coupon discount of $250.00. I explained that we are still providing a seat to replace the existing seat and the difference is $50.00, and we will be reimbursing her the $50.00. She said that was unacceptable but come anyways to install the new seat. I scheduled the service and we went out with the new seat and $50.00 reimbursement, and installed the seat and she took the check. I also asked if she still has the seat that she bought on her own and we take the seat and reimburse her for it, and she said no that she donated it. Which is great and no complaints but it was a solution for us to buy the seat from her. We have installed hundreds of bathrooms and shower seats just like the one we did for her and have never had any issues, it is unfortunate the seat problem happened. Sincerely, Bob Wampler Operations Manager

I was impressed with the amount of materials that STeve brought with him to show us and give us different options that weren't offered by other companies we talked to, and some are definitely more along the lines of what we want and VERY money saving. He got the gist of what I wanted I think, and was willing to work with us instead of "selling" us. I will update when the work is completed (3-4 weeks from now) It is now November 17, and our bath is still not fully functioning, and the bath seat that I need for my disability broke with me on it, and it was not very graciously replaced, and yet my husband sat on it to test it and it was still unstable. And the supposed chip- and scratch-proof acryllic surround is full of white scratches that are peeling when I rub a fingernail over it. The appointment I had with Bob Wampler for today at 230 regarding this, I got no call, just no Bob. I will update if I ever get the leaks and the seat fixed, right now--F
