A-1 DOOR

While here, he needed to replace the wires that connect the spring to the door. He also found a number of loose points in the framing for the door, and tightened them up. He and actually found one of the pieces that hold a roller that had been bent out of shape through the years of use and pounded it back into shape. And, at one place, the frame had moved, so he had to unscrew it and move it what looked like about an inch. He was very cordial and spoke clearly about what he was doing.

When my garage door would not open in the morning, I thought it might be the remote battery. Upon going into the garage through the man door, I was appalled to see the entire opener system sitting on the roof of my car. John was available by phone as soon as I called and when I explained the situation, he arranged to come over as soon as possible. He arrived in 90 minutes, having come from a job in another county. He assessed the problem and was able to move the opener to allow me to get my car out. He then reinstalled it with additional fasteners. He was careful and thorough and explained what he was doing throughout. He adjusted the other parts of the opener system and recommended routine lubrication that I could do myself Because this was an emergency situation, I was charged the emergency service fee which made the cost more than a regular service call would be. This was the first time that I have used A-1 Door but would certainly call them again.

John has done work for us before. I called him to fix a sagging pulley (I think that's what he called a sheave) on one garage door. John arrived when he said he would. He assessed what needed to be done, which was more than just the pulley, gave me and estimate and came back another day to fix the door. I actually had him repair two garage doors as the other one was in bad shape too. I like John, he is very knowledgeable, honestly tells you what can be repaired and what needs to be replaced, arrives on time, and completes the work without a hassle.

JOHN WAS ON TIME AS PROMISED, HE WAS COURTEOUS, DID WORK WE ASKED FOR AND QUICKLY. DOOR NOW WORKS WELL, AS HE ADJUSTED AND OILED THE WORKS, TOO. HE TOOK ONLY AN HOUR TO DO WORK. WE ARE NOW CONSIDERING HIM TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE DOOR WHEN WE DO HOME REMODELING NEXT YEAR. HE CHARGED A PREMIUM FEE FOR A SUNDAY MORNING JOB, WHICH WE FULLY EXPECTED AND UNDERSTAND. HE IS A 24 HOUR SERVICE PROVIDER.

GAVE A LOT OF GOOD INFORMATION, INSTALLED WHILE I WAS NOT HOME. WHEN HE GAVE THE ESTIMATE AFTER THE COMPLETION, HE SAID JUST SEND IN THE CHECK AND IT WAS THE SAME PRICE AS THE QUOTE. VERY GOOD CLEAN UP AND HAULED AWAY OLD DOOR. I HAD AN OLD 300 POUND DOOR AND MY GARAGE STAYS MUCH CLEANER. VERY PROFESSIONAL.
