It turned out very badly as the wall collapsed in April 2011. They denied everything and turned everything right back on me altogether. It was an individual that I dealt with who had done projects for me inside the house in the past. He had done a very good job and that was why I hired him to do this project outside the house. He said that he could do it and he wanted to do it. I thought that I would give him the opportunity as he had done work for me in the past. It was disappointing because it took a long time. It started in July and did not finish until December. I did not know as to when he would turn up or what he was going to do. There was material in my driveway. It was six months of not knowing when to expect that he would be coming. It was very disappointing as we had some heavy rains and the retaining wall was supposed to stand in such rains. It probably was not constructed properly which ended up causing the issue. It was a safety hazard and it had not completely come down. I contacted him primarily and told him that the blocks were heavy. There were three young children in the house. He came, looked at it and took some pictures. I continued to call and check as to what he was going to do to resolve the issue. We spoke on Friday and I told him that I would need an answer by Monday evening. He came back to me on Monday and wrote a brief email to me denying that it was his design. He mentioned that there was nothing that he could do for me at that point. It was not good. The price was very fair. I would absolutely not use him again in the future.
