While Pete was unable to provide the service, he still called me back and let me know. He also was able to give a recommendation of company who may be able to perform said installation. I appreciated the call back and his desire to help as much as he was able. From this standpoint, I would look to hire him for any computer issues I may have in the future.

Above. I procrastinated too long in posting this review, so my memory is hazy now. I suspect he did even more things than I mentioned above. All for $100.

My laptop started giving me error messages when booting up. I called Pete up and was able to drop it off that night. Although he was unable to fix it, apparently a dropped laptop is not a good thing, he was able to diagnose the problem within a day. I would have had to wait over a week at a repair store. He provided good suggestions for a replacement machine. Very knowledgable and nice. I will use him exclusively from now on.

Pete investigated software message and found that I had a corrupted driver. He downloaded and replaced it with the more updated driver. Checked system for any additional error messages which he reviewed and removed. Vacuumed interior of CPU to clean out any dust build up. Worked on My Bookmarks list to make it easier to use. It took him about 2 hours to complete tasks. Pete is very pleasant, helpful and definitely knowledgeable in computers.

It was a good experience and we would definitely use Pete again and recommend him highly.

Everything went very well and my computer is now running much faster and I never experience a freeze up when searching the web.

The service went very well. I dropped off the laptop at Pete's house (though he offered to come to my house) in the late afternoon, and he worked on it during the evening and called me the next morning to let me know that the laptop was fixed. He installed an antivirus package that seemed to do the trick.

I was having trouble installing a Rosetta Stone DVD onto my computer, and figured it was time for a general computer update. I found Pete on Angie's list and he came out to my house the next day, at a time that was most convenient for me. He wanted to take a look at my computer with me so he could better understand the issues I was having. Not even 24 hours later he called me to tell me he took care of all updates, cleaned up some disk space, installed a new DVD driver since mine was broke, and was able to get Rosetta Stone to install properly. That evening he came over to hook up the computer, walk me through the updates, and give me recommendations for hard drives/memory cards. He wrote down all the work he did as well as recommendation of websites that had good deals on memory cards, so I can reference it. I trusted Pete and would recommend him to anyone else who has a PC. He did a very good job!

His recommendations as to what to look for in a new computer and I am satisfied with my purchase.

I found PC Connections on Angies LIst. My initial call was due to the slowness of my Internet connection even after ATand T doubled my DSL speed at the cost of an additional $5.00 per month. Pete called me back immediately and came to my home the next day. He did a thorough inspection of my computer system, cleaned out residual software fragments left behind from normal computer usage. These are additional fragments are not cleaned up through "Disk Cleanup" which users should periodically run. Pete reorganized my "Disk Cleanup" process and explained why I needed to expand my selection of computer software generated fragments to be dump/cleaned in order boost computer performance. This helped the computer speed somewhat but was still not up to par. He recommended additonal computer memory and ordered the chips for me, after searching on line for the best price. Pete made several helpful suggestions such as up grading to Internet Explorer 8, He also ran system updates users would not normally know to run and vacuumed the inside of my computer. When the memory computer chips arrived, I called him and he came the next day. Pete installed the chips, and checked further into why so many errors were being generated to Microsoft and Dr. Watson . He discovered another computer was trying to get into my computer. My IP address was a public address instead of a private address and he felt that this could be part of the problem because everyone could see me on line making me vulnerable to hackers, etc. He worked over the phone with my DSL provider ATand T to change my IP address to a private one. I also did not like the default programs organized in "Quick Launch" (this is different from "Start UP") so he showed me how to set it up to a more efficient menu. Pete also downloaded and installed Internet Explorer 8. In other words, Pete did an overhaul of my system and it is running much faster. He asked me to give him feedback in a few days as to how the computer is performing. His charges are reasonalble expecially when you consider this was an on-site job. The last time I had someone on site, it cost me $130.00 just to come to the house.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the results. I will definitly recommend PC Connection to my family and friends.

I can sum up simply by saying this: If you have computer issues and want a mature, responsible and very able professional to handle the problem in a timely and financially reasonable manner, call Mr. Hauk at PC Connections. He is now our go-to professional for any and all computer issues.

It went very well. Mr.Hauk put in much time and effort and the reinstallation has worked out perfectly. No problems. He is very easy to get along with and helpfully answers the ten million questions I ask while he is working or other times when I've called him.

Everything always goes well when I need Mr. Hauk's help. His fee of $50.00 per hour is very fair compared to others in this field and I'm glad he does this in the evening. It works well with my schedule. He is always accommodating, professional, pleasant, polite and extremely competent.
