+ -1 moreI dealt directly with the owners. They were all extremely nice people. Absolutely no high pressure or attempt to sell me something I didn’t need. They even provided services that I didn’t expect at no extra cost like oiling and greasing the rails and rollers. They put back in place a wire for the sensors that was hanging. I recommended them to my father when his spring broke and he was very please as well. I would definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to friends.

+ -1 moreThey were great! They were able to get in not many days after I called and they were courteous and professional. Not only did they repair both springs in less than 45 minutes they also greased the door frame so that it function more smoothly (it definitely was more quiet!) and they said that the lubrication should last for about 2 years. They also tightened a couple of screws on the door frame where a piece of metal was sticking out and they checked to see what shape the garage door opener was in. They did this for no extra charge beyond the cost of replacing the springs! I would HIGHLY recommend them! Family owned and operated :)

+ -1 moreI love this company. We accidentally closed the garage door before removing all items. The door came off the track and something popped off. We called and there was no answer as it was a Sunday. Well first thing Monday morning, John calls and fits us right in, takes a look, says it was an easy fix and for him it was. Every time we have used his company, the results are fantastic. With three kids beating up sensors, remotes and keypads, we should have him on speed dial. Always professional and courteous.

Description of Work: Was unable to close or move garage door after workmen left our home. Because of previous injury, am not to be on a ladder. Called three door Companies to attempt closing the door for security on 4/24 afternoon. Two were away from their desk. One could not schedule me until next week. Thankfully, our town sent a Police Man to help secure. He helped me stay off a ladder by closing the heavy door manually. Cheryl from Economy Door called in the evening and scheduled me for next AM! John & Son arrived promptly, Checked the door and determined that the door was not getting electricity. Some one had moved the ceiling plug to a non working outlet. They did not charge me for their service call, as they were working nearby in my town earlier that day! Am planning to update to a new opener this year and will use the services of these responsive and efficient people! The third Company I had called answered after Economy people had already solved my problem! It is essential to me that the home be secured, and a pleasure to find a local, reliable and helpful business to work with!.

+ -1 moreOur garage door opener was becoming very unreliable, and when I couldn't fix it myself I decided to check Angie's List. Decided on Economy Door because of their excellent ratings. John and his son, Bob, came at the appointed time and had it working well in an hour or so. They serviced the door and opener and took the time to instruct me on how to prevent problems in the future. They were very professional and as friendly as could be. I will call them again immediately if the need ever arises. I could not recommend them more highly.

In a couple of weeks I received a call stating the door was in but we were having the house sided at the time. They allowed me to push out the installation a few weeks until the siding was done. I was able to schedule an afternoon appointment. John came out and was done in two hours. The new door looks great and you can barely hear it moving up and down.

They then called and said they could not make it and rescheduled for the next day. They just never showed up then. They have been putting me off for four weeks now. If they would have called me and said they were tied up I would have understood.

+ -1 moreTheir price was better than most other garage door companies. They were fairly good about their cleanup. The negative side is, I had to pay them three days before my pay day. I asked if they could wait for three days and they absolutely refused. I pulled some savings and paid them. They didn't cash the check for a week and a half later. That really aggravated me.

+ -1 moreOur phone call was returned promptly. We didn't have to wait long for an appointment. The service man was prompt and courteous. He made the effort to enter the garage through a side door so he didn't have to bring equipment (or snow) into the house.
Description of Work: Garage door spring was broken so it was replaced. Also, the cable was straightened -- it had been wrapped awkwardly. I was surprised it didn't need to be replaced also.
