Excellent responsiveness (despite a crush of work from the same storm) and a wealth of knowledge in this area. We met with the owner, Rick, and he walked us through every step that his company would take in addressing the flood damage and mold growth. The DMI crew showed up early (but waited outside until the designated start time), set up blowers to ensure that air movement was maintained, laid down temporary walkways to minimize foot traffic and debris from removed materials, tested the entire perimeter of the basement for mold damage, cut out all areas of tainted drywall (leaving intact those areas that did not have mold) and provided excellent suggestions on alternative rebuilding approaches that might minimize the cost of repairs from a future flood. All of the spoiled drywall and moldings were carried out to a container brought onsite to our driveway, and the crew did a top-notch job regarding cleanup when they were through. The job was completed on time and for exactly the quoted price. We were exceedingly pleased with the entire project.

My husband has suffered from severe unexplained headaches for almost a year. Called Dutch's Mold Inspections to inquire about doing an indoor air quality test and mold test. Chose them because of the number of certifications Rick holds as listed on Angie's list (knowing we might be searching for a needle in a haystack) and because of the positive reviews on Angie's list. Needed someone who could be very thorough. Rick returned the call promptly. He asked a lot of questions over the phone and gave me a very good idea of what to expect. We scheduled a date to do the testing and he was on time (actually early). He did air quality testing and looked for mold. The results of the air quality test were that there was not anything in the living area that was of major concern. Rick did find mold in the unfinished basement. The mold had not spread to the living area. We then hired Rick to come back and address the mold issue in the basement. My husband and I went thru our basement belongings and identified those "treasures" that we HAD to keep. Rick and his team came back with a dumpster. They hauled out everything that we said to throw out. They cleaned what was left and they then sprayed the basement. Rick also gave us recommendations for maintenance going forward. The mold remediation job took about a day and a half. Rick's team was on time, polite and courteous. They were hard workers. Rick did a great job at building the proper expectations throughout the process and there were no surprises. While we still don't have an explanation for my husband's headaches: We have ruled out another possible explanation and we know what isn't causing them We addressed a problem we did not know we had before the mold got worse and spread to the living area Our basement has been cleaned out and is no longer an embarrassment, after years of stuff being accumulated and a job that seemed overwhelming to tackle. Rick was great. Very informative and detailed. He gave me a good amount of information to go on and good information for my doctors to work with. It's not a cause but it may help. Also gave me information to make changes around my house that may help with just general air quality.

Rick met me the day after Thanksgiving to look at the job. He sent me the estimate that afternoon. He assumed it would take 3 to 3.5 days and require 1 or 2 dumpsters. The estimate was for $7500. It ended up taking 4 days and 4 dumpsters. It was a large job, and the price did not change. Rick plus the 3-person crew usually worked from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm with a lunch break. Rick was there for most of the time. He oversaw the work and talked with me and my parent about issues they were finding. The crew worked hard the entire time and were very thorough. They installed plastic and laid runners through the walkway. They ran air cleaners in and around the contained area. They carried out all the items from the basement and let my parent sort through the things they wanted to keep. Some of those, they wiped down with a sanitizer. After removing all the items, they removed the drywall and paneling. Then, they removed the framed walls, wood floor and all insulation. They cleaned and sanitized the entire basement and ran dehumidifiers through the weekend. On Monday, they removed everything that was left. Then they hepa-vacuumed all surfaces, vacuumed and mopped the floor and sprayed a sanitizer on all surfaces. Upstairs they cleaned the floors in the walkway and sprayed a sanitizer. Each day Rick showed me the progress and talked about the plan. When they were done, he walked me and my parent through the basement and pointed out potential issues with water lines, windows, walls, etc. Overall they did a great job. I would definitely recommend them.

While trying to sell my house comments where made that the dirt floor crawl space looked like it had mold. Called Dutch's to come out and give me a quote on cleaning after the mold expert recommended by my realtor said it would be over a 1000 to clean the substantial mold off the walls and their foundation person told me a I needed 8000 of waterproofing. when Rick came over he spent time actually inspecting and going into the crawl sapce. he described what was actually going on and told me I didnt actually need his services. I just need to wash the walls of the accumulated dirt and repaint. Nice to see honest businessmen!

Dutch's was very professional and worked to make things go quickly. We had flooding from Sandy when the power went out and caused the sump to stop working. They went above and beyond to do the work that was would not only take care of the problem but leave things easier for us to deal with once they were finished.

The owner of the company came to inspect the basement for mold. He took some readings and told me it was not mold, just some dry rot any handyman could fix. Did not charge me anything. I was pleased and relieved. Straightforward and professional individual. I would certainly recommend their service to anyone.

The crew arrived on time, kept everything clean and were very professional. Rick made a few suggestions for things we could do to kept the moisture level down in our attic, which we appreciated. We would recommend Dutch's for mold remediation.

Rick came out for an estimate one evening after I got home from work and gave me an estimate on the spot. He was very courteous and professional. Once we decided to go ahead, he showed up promptly on the expected date with his crew, which were all very nice as well. They worked the entire day in tight spaces and were able to complete the entire job in a day. Afterwards, Rick walked around with me to outline what was done. I'm very happy with the outcome and would definitely call Rick again for any related work!

I was extremely pleased with Rick and his crew. They went way out of the way to help me out, and even when our neighborhood had a blackout just after they got started, they kept working in my dark basement until the power was back on. They were timely, professional, efficient, and friendly. I would definitely recommend Rick and his crew.

So far, so good! They did a good job. Their price was the most reasonable. Currently, I don’t see any signs of mold continuing on. It is too soon to tell, since moisture accumulates in the winter, so if any mold was still there, it would come through in the Spring. They do provide a warranty period. They cleaned up well afterwards and there haven’t been any issues!

I hired Rick to do a home inspection before I listed my home for sale. The information he gave me was invaluable. I know exactly what's going on with my home, and can take care of many items before listing. In addition, he gave me many helpful suggestions about how to get stuff done. He was tough and unsparing in his observations, which is exactly what I wanted, so I would have the perspective of the potential buyer. Rick returned my calls promptly, came to the appointment promptly, and is very professional and personable in demeanor.

Rick was great. Personable, punctual, professional and very straight-forward. Even though I live beyond his normal service area, when he found out I was on Angie's List, he agreed to do the inspection and work anyway. He came down here just a few days after I first made the call and he found time in his teams schedule to do the remediation work just a week later. Unfortunately, I need to delay doing the remediation, because recent heavy rains have shown me that the mold problem in the basement will just continue until I can fix the water problem in the basement...but as soon as I get the basement water problem fixed, I'll definitely give Rick a call. Highly recommended.

Wonderful! The estimate was timely and the work completed soon after. All mess was cleaned up and done in a professional manner. My 90 year old basement has not been this clean in some time [probably 80 years, haven't been here that long].Rick gave some terrific advice on what to do to keep our basement less wet and we our following up.

We were trying to sell our house, but the inspector found mold in the attic. I don't know who to call and so I looked on Angie' List. Dutch's Mold Inspections LLC have 45 glowing reports so I called them and told the situation, and that we have to do something about it right away. He came out the next day and he looked at the problem. He told me how much it would cost and what he would do, so I hired him on the spot. He came out the next Tuesday and he did it all. He was outstanding.

He also was on time. He took the time and provided us a letter stating the EPA regulations that we were able to provide the next homeower.

Left a message and Rick called back within a couple of hours. I explained the situation and Rick asked several follow-up questions. Because there was no dampness in the area, he didn't think I had a mold problem and suggested that if I was "handy," I could cut a hole in the wall where I thought the smell was coming from and check for mold myself. He also suggested purchasing a mold test kit from a home improvement store and seeing what that turned up. I did both of those things and found no mold, so that was a relief (still have the smell, though, and trying some other things to get that remedied). I thought it was very nice/honest of Rick to suggest a couple of "do it yourself" options, when he could have just as easily come out and charged me for an inspection even though he suspected it wasn't a mold issue.

I would recommend them highly. I would use them in the future.

When his team came to tear out my basement and sanitize, thus killing all mold, they worked very hard for over 8 hours, providing a dumpster for torn out ceiling, insulation, and paneling as well as personal items in the basement that needed to be trashed. The entire team was friendly and professional and cleaned up my home thoroughly upon completion. They all wore masks and installed a plastic barrier to avoid spreading of the mold spores inside my home. I was really impressed with their work ethic and professionalism. I had questions for Rick following completion of the job, and he stopped by and talked with me regarding further questions, He also made suggestions regarding electrical upgrades and potential foundation cracks that I might have in my home. I would not hesitate to recommend Rick and his team for any type of mold clean up or home inspection

I called him yesterday after the plumber revealed the problem. Rick came this morning earlier than expected and promptly inspected the mold. He explained everything very well, and did not charge me for his time, expertise, travel, or advice. Really nice man.

Went well. Very prompt and responsive. The work itself was done in much less time than I had expected (two days total, I think). They worked hard and cleaned up thoroughly. All the work was completed completely as discussed at the time of estimate. The only reason I have quality as a B instead of an A is because I wasn't entirely satisfied with the way they sealed off the house from the basement during work. The plastic barrier would come down and have to be put up again. However, the workers were always totally polite and responsive when I pointed it out.
