We've been using them for three years. We got them from Angie's List.

For the lawn aeration, a staff member would reach out to us each autumn to schedule the service; we never had to call them. For the lawn fertilization, a treatment is applied every two months or so. We haven't met but one of the technicians that come out because we are at work. The office staff if very friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend Custom Lawns.

Never error showed up for scheduled appointment. I called to inquire if he was going to show up. The person answering the phone wanted to reschedule then hung up on me when I complained.

Application was on schedule, exactly what was contracted and done well.

They contacted me immediately and came that day. My yard was in much need of help. The lawn looks great today. I couldn't have asked for a better company

They do fertilizing. They are excellent. There is one person, that comes out all the time. My gate is locked and he calls so i can unlock the gate for him, and when he leaves he relockes the gate for me. They are very courteous, they do excellent work and cater to what you need.

We enjoyed their service for several years but had to stop for a few years. We restarted their service this year and are glad we're back with them. Our yard already looks much better! Their people come and do their job quickly, quietly and professionally and are very careful with the placement of their products.

Everyone at Custom Lawn Inc. is very friendly and helpful. The estimate for the lawn service was explained in detail and all of my questions were answered. I would highly recommend this company for their precise and professional service and for the fact that they don't try to upsell as has been our experience with other lawn care companies. Our lawn has never looked better.

As always they have done a fine job. Lawn has improved each year they have taken care of it.

Weeds were taking over the majority of our front and back lawns. A close friend had used Custom Lawns in the past with good results, so we called them. They came out within a few days and left a free estimate for the size of our yard and the flower beds. (We were not required to be home; they left the estimate on our front door.) We received only 1 or 2 services as we called late in the season. We honestly saw a difference after the first treatment. The front yard is actually GRASS. Weeds in the backyard are essentially gone. Treatment has started this year and we continue to be satisfied. There are a few weeds in a couple of beds, but nowhere NEAR what it was before. I practically have to search for them to pull them. (I think I can actually call to let them know and they'll do an extra treatment, but it's not a big deal as of yet, plus the season just started.)

Shows up according to schedule, no complaints. Lawn looks much better than last year when we went with a different company.

I wrote a review last year when only the first application was done but had not done the aeration and wanted to see how things went. I want to update that my lawn is looking better than it ever has. The aeration makes a BIG difference. I have had that done twice in my front yard where I had several bare patches that never seemed to want to grow in and ever since I have had that done, they have filled in. I was very skeptical that aerating really did anything but decided to try it on my landscaper's recommendation and am now so glad I did. That's something that I will continue to do. Also, the weeds I had in the back which prompted me to look into weed control companies are gone and my grass is looking great. The thing I like most about this company is that we get the same guy, Joe, each time. He also knows his grass and weeds. I have spoken to him on several occasions and he is so nice to explain what's out there, what's new, what's going, what's gone, etc. They call in advance to let you know when they are coming which you won't get with some of these big companies, they don't try to sell you anything you don't need, and if you don't want all the treatments, you can customize what you want. My neighbor had creeping charlie all over his lawn, which a lot of these places won't touch or guarantee, and it's almost completely gone. One treatment eliminated almost all of it so if you're dealing with that, there is hope. I would highly recommend these guys. The price will vary according to the size of your lawn and that price is per treatment. I have a pretty big lawn, front and back, and they were the best priced.

As always it went just fine. The tech always gives us the day ahead notification that they are coming out the next day and the approximate time they will be here. Today he was running a little late and called to let me know he would be arriving about 45 minutes later than originally stated. They also use a blower to clean excess fertilizer that falls in the driveway and on the sidewalk.

I recently contacted Custom Lawns for an estimate to handle the fertilizing and weed control of my lawn. The lady I talked to was very friendly, professional and accommodating and referred me to Fred, a field rep, to address some specific issues I had. Due to the great reviews on Angie's List and the very competitive price, I elected to hire Custom Lawns to take care of my fertilizing and weed control needs. Later that morning, Fred came out and walked with me through my yard and observed the issues I had with my lawn. He was very realistic in addressing my expectations and offered a very logical and cost-effective solution to my lawn concerns. The very next morning, I was surprised to see that the first application had been made. I was very comfortable dealing with Fred and his "no pressure" approach to address my issues and equally impressed at how Custom Lawns expedited my service.

I've used Custom Lawns for 2 years before and have contracted for this year also. I'm not a lawn expert, but the lawn seems to be doing well. At one point I had some type of weed that was propagating across the lawn and they correctly identified it and eliminated it. I'm completely satisfied with their service.

I have used Custom Lawns for over 30 years, and they have always been extremely professional and responsive. They are not the cheapest, but in this business, you get what you pay for. They have always responded to my calls either the same day or next business day.

We have been using them for about 30 years. I think that says it all. They have made suggestions on thinning trees to help the grass grow to telling us how to treat for grubs whether they did it or we did it. If I have a question they respond quickly. When looking at the costs keep in mind that we have a large yard, the cost does not include $135 to treat for grubs and we receive 5 treatments per year.

All went very well. They do a fine job at a reasonable price. Have used for several years. Really appreciate that they call before doing a treatment and will alter their schedule if conflicts with my cutting or other schedule. Phone is answered by a live person and often speak with Mike the owner for advice.

Everything has been good with this company. Their treatments have really helped the lawn. The lawn is becoming greener and thicker with fewer weeds. They come out as scheduled and they don’t over fertilize.

I got three estimates for weed control and fertilization and anything else that was needed. Custom Lawns, not only did not try to sell me anything I did not need, but told me why I did not need certain things I asked about. They could easily have told me I needed all those services, as I know many places will do but they were honest and only recommended what was going to help my lawn. That was not the case with the second person I talked to, who tried to sell me all kinds of things that I absolutely knew I did not need, to the tune of $500!! Needless to say, I didn't go with that company. I have learned with outdoor services that you need to do your homework BEFORE talking to some of these people so you will know who is trying to pull the wool over your eyes. The third person I talked to, also indicated almost the very same thing that Custom Lawns recommended and the only reason I did not go with them was price. Both were very comparable and both were very knowledgeable but I leaned toward Custom Lawns with price being the deciding factor. I had also gotten a price for aeration and the other company was also higher on that, so it seemed like a no brainer to me. So far, only one treatment has been applied and the aeration has not yet been done, but I had a lot of weeds in one corner of my backyard that were making me mental. They are now almost from view, but definitely dead. I'm hoping by spring they will be a faint memory. The aeration I was told would be done when the ground was softer and at a time when it would be most beneficial to my lawn. Again, they could have just come right out and done that to collect their money, but have opted to wait until it made sense to do it. So far, I'm impressed.

They are taking care of the grass and then they are also just maintaining my lawn like a true breed. There is a little weed problem we have been having in our grass that needs special service. They are conscientious. They are not as timely, I had to kind of call them and tell them that I wanted them to come out sooner than they were scheduling me, but I had a lot to do with me getting them at the last minute after the season had already started, but overall I would say they were good.

I just purchased the house last fall and needed some help to fix up the lawn. After getting an estimate, I didn't sign a full year contract, but I asked them to do one application for us. It went well. They are responsive and weeds seem to be much less than before.

Good job. Lawn isn't where we want it yet, but with Custom Lawns's help. Were getting there. Also good when I have a question about lawn care such as when to overseed. Also, planning such things around their spraying schedule. One slight blip. Had them spray the back yard once for weeds and bugs. They also sprayed the morning glorys on the fence, which killed them, but there were enough seeds I got them going again before the end of the year. Plan to work closer with them this year as I have already prepaid for a season of lawn treatments for next year.

They do a fine job. They come on time and leave no mess. The product works fine.
